Then, they add sugary frosting, cinnamon sugar, and powdered sugar. The result is almost big enough for a full meal. It's hot, and sweet but not cloying, and crunchy outside with a soft inside. It's damn good, and I can see why she remembers them fondly. Not haute cuisine, and not something you should eat every day, but as a late night treat or even breakfast with coffee, it's amazing.
