I called and she told me that although she said it was the co pay it was for a service that they charge the patient but do not mention it to insurance because they do not pay for that service. I called and she admitted but offered no apology and said they did not have to tell their clients about the extra charge. I told her she should have told me it was not a co pay but a charge for a service. I was also billed for the service but the co pay is all I would have to pay. I feel very wronged. I had my insurance call and she told her the same thing: they do not have to tell the client about the extra charge and she said she never called it a co pay. Beware of extra charges and not being told!

We waited 30 minutes with no call back. We tried calling several times with no answer. After about 45 minutes we knock on the door to ask how much longer. The lady would not open the door so I was standing outside at 5:50 trying to ask how much longer. Mind you, they close at 6:15. The lady said she was to busy to answer the phone or to answer questions. This was the worst experience we have ever had with any eye doctor staff. If they are that understaffed, maybe they should cut the bonuses and hire more people.

I've had the new insurance for 3 years and until recently refused to use it...I dread my eye exam with the new OD.
