The Scholastic Warehouse has book sales several times throughout the year. At current they are…read morerunning a three day Back to School sale. I would skip this sale. Why? It's super small and not worth the trip. It's the size of a school book fair, except that everything is 50% off and the already on sale items are also 50% off the marked price. I stopped by because I was already in the nearby area. I found a few items but nothing I desperately needed for myself or my classroom. The sale you want to go to is the BIG SALE that is usually run twice a year. It is generally in April/May and December. You can sign up for emails through the website or check the website periodically for updates as to the sale dates. When you sign up to attend the sale online, you will receive coupons for $10 off $50 or $25 off $100. These sales allow you in almost all parts of the warehouse and include not only books but kits, toys, posters, trinkets, resource books, etc. Everything is 50%+ off and they usually do a "fill the box" or "fill the bag" for $25ish. The big sales last for around two weeks and are usually packed. It's worth it to go to the big sale but not so much the three day sales unless you are close to warehouse. Parking and sale entrance is in back of the building. Look for the Scholastic semi trucks with Clifford on them!

However there is another place here in Indy that buys CDS and hopefully will give me a better deal. So if this store only offers a dollar and you think your item is worth more, definitely hunt around as probably can sell it for at least $2 elsewhere However it's a good store if your looking for actual physical media not to mention has that great incense smell of burning flavors . These are relatively old hobbies for a different generation. I am not saying nobody does these anymore, just that they aren't as popular as once. All-to-say, The Stamp Shop caters to one of these hobbies. I have an old stamp collection and recently dug it out of the attic. I decided to reassemble the collection into new stamp albums (available on line at Mystic Stamp Company among other places). In the end I also needed some stamp hinges and looked around for a hobby shop or store that might sell this little inexpensive accessory...but could find little if anything devoted to stamp collecting. Then I ran across this little gem in Indianapolis. The Stamp Shop is for those that have a stamp collection and are looking to sell theirs or fill in some holes of missing stamps. The Stamp Shop has a large inventory of stamps available for purchase. They also had my little stamp hinges. While they could probably order some stamp albums for you, I did not see any on the shelf when I visited. In fact you won't see much on the shelf. The Stamp Shop is not a browsing collection of stamps and accessories. It is more like someone's office with piles of stamps and stamp books around the room. There is basically nothing to see here...but if you come in and know what you want, I think this is the place to get it. Enjoyed my visit here very much and will be back with a list of items to fill out my old collection. I'll revise the review when I return and have a better feel for prices.

Thiey are a great source for virtually anything related to stamp collectiing. They have also been a reliable personal source for stamps, covers and supplies. Because they have a varying stock at any given time it pays to visit frequently. This is the place to go if you either need or have stamps or collections to sell. If you collect stamps do not miss a visit to this shop!
