I kept delaying rekeying my locks after moving into my new place and then walked into my living room from another part of my house one night to find my front door wide open. Vsevolod was extremely quick in responding to my inquiry about a broken multi-point lock on my Marvin Ultimate Wood Swinging French Door. Because there are concealed rods in the door for the top and bottom bolts (which I did not consider when I was looking for someone to repair it), and the door would have to be taken off its hinges to remove the lock, a typical locksmith would not perform the repair. Another locksmith that I contacted recommended that I look for a contractor that repairs windows and doors. Vsevolod was not deterred by my description of the problem. To alleviate my concern about adjusting the door after taking it off its hinges, he suggested that he would fix the lock with a friend who is a door installer. They first came to remove the lock and figure out its part number. After the part arrived, they both came again to change the lock and made sure that the door and lock operated smoothly. The broken lock was more complicated than I expected, but the Friendly Locksmith did a great job on the repair for a good price. read more
