This review is for Le, who did my nails three times this past summer and nothing else (i.e. pedicures, waxing) Le is the ONLY one that does acrylics and the only one who's done them well for a reasonable price. The first time I ever tried acrylics, I got a full set and a gel manicure for $35 (before tip). Fills and new gel were ... $25? Maybe $30? I can't remember the exact but I didn't spend over $30 (again, before tip). Because he is the only one that does acrylics, I would recommend making an appointment with him.. I've never been taken as a walk in for acrylics but they DO accept walk ins. I've seen it with my own eyes! However, don't be dumb like me and make an appointment for 9:30A and forget (Sorry for the inconvenience). My bad, and I do genuinely feel bad because this place lives up to their name. It's the friendliest nail salon I've ever been to. I am not one for talking much but what I appreciate the most is that the employees don't converse with each other when they have a guest in front of them. Maybe occasional questions or comments here and there but they don't make you feel uncomfortable at all. You know what I mean... There's nothing I hate more than me paying good money to get my nails done AND be talked badly about in another language. You don't have to worry about this here. Le WILL put great attention into your nails and everyone WILL compliment them. I had to get my acrylics removed because I couldn't adjust to life without the ability to pick up things with my fingertips... I was very sad and probably will not be getting them again (for my own sanity. I'll still come in for manicures :D) Anyways, thank you Le for doing an exceptional job on my nails and thank you Friendly Nails and Spa staff for being equally as awesome. read more

But I love to share the wealth so here goes: After my usual place in La Habra went to shit (the curse of the good review) I was back on the hunt. I found this place on Yelp and went for it. The first time there, I had Lee work on my nails. From what I read, he is the go-to dude and I guess I just got lucky. He did a good job but then again, I am boring and just got square nails with red polish. That time, Sally did my pedicure and I fell in love with her. She did such a great job and she was such a nice person. This second time I went I got another lady working on my nails (didn't catch her name) and this time I went with my usual coffin style, nude color. During the process, I kept looking at my nails and thinking: these are going to shit. One of them look crooked and I was bracing myself for the nails from hell. As a Virgo, standing corrected is one of my least favorite things but when my nails were done, hands down, they were the best coffin shaped nails I ever did get! The shape was perfect and the crooked one was miraculously straight! I am sold! Their pricing is on the inexpensive side, 70 bucks for a full set with gel color and the pedicure with all the bells and whistles. read more

Thought I'd give nails a try again. It's been years. My daughter and I walked in @ 9:30 am. They open at 9:30. No appointments asked for full sets for both of us. As the lady was thinking about taking us a couple walked in. They needed pedicures and the girl fills. I came here with friends a few days ago when I visited LA. The people were all very friendly and sat us down as soon as we walked in. I got a gel mani and pedi for $45 while my boyfriend got a pedicure. I think they did a very nice job on my nails and they took extra care to make sure I was comfortable and liked the shape and colour of my nails. I did not have any issues with sanitation. The place was clean and if I remember correctly, their tools appeared to be in the same sanitation bags that you would find your dental tools to be in. After writing my review, they contacted me w/in 20 minutes and offered to fix the nails and offer a refund. While that was a nice gesture, I didn't have the time to go. I went on Aug. 26, and got married on Aug. 27th. There's no way in hell either my wife or I would've had the time to go back to let them torture us for another hour or two. I can acknowledge that Mimi can give a great foot and hand massage, but it won't change the fact that she was adamant about telling me I was wrong. I was going to change this review to two stars, until my wife showed me a cut on her toe. She told me that they cut her when they were cutting her cuticles while still submerged under water. I asked her why she didn't say something then, but because she's never had a pedicure, she thought it was okay that people made mistakes. I was livid. Then she showed me her toenails. Every single one was trimmed and filed too short, and into her nail bed. She was in pain and sucked it up because she didn't understand. She then showed me the bottom of her feet, and I can see all the spots where they scrubbed too hard to try to remove callouses. Everything was raw on the bottom, with some angry looking patches of skin. On top of that, the polish was awful on her toes. My wife is now terrified of getting pedicures. Thankfully, nothing got infected, but what the ever loving eff? There are a million better places to get your mani pedi. This is not one of them. This experience was so awful that we opted to ignore the refund offer because we didn't want to ever step foot in there again. That's right, we gave up $80+ because we were that traumatized. read more

DO NOT COME HERE UNLESS YOU WANT AN INFECTION. They rushed the entire mani/pedi process and cut me 4 times on my toes and another two times during my mani. Next day, my cuts are now infected with pus. Not only that but she was so rough during my mani the lady actually broke a few of my nails and glued them back together. That didn't work, and the next day they broke right off and made the gel manicure look even worse, as they're already peeling. It's not worth it. To make matters worse all my nails are uneven and she cut them way too short when I had asked her just to file them a bit. I'm surprised they have so many good reviews. It's Not hygienic what's so ever, this place needs to be shut down. Service sucks, customer service sucks, as the lady was unapologetic and when ever I pulled away cause of the pain, she'd just sigh and pull. Why people come here is beyond me, they are so rude and there's no cleanliness AT ALL. I only went here as a last resort cause I was desperate as I needed to get a mani/pedi for a special occasion and my usual spot was too busy for a last minute walk in. now here I am with infected hands and feet and in too much pain to even walk. I can usually go 3 wks or more before really having to go back. I've tried other places but my nails always chip by the 2nd week. So I no longer drift away. First time here. I agree with all the other Yelpers don't let the outside fool you its very nice inside but not the prettiest strip mall on the outside. Once inside your automatically transformed into a very relaxing atmosphere. Nikki was very sweet and quite. She took her time and did a wonderful job. I had given her a tall order to paint USC on my big toes and she did an ok job with that. Upon advice from one of the Yelpers I made an appt for the weekend for a Sat at 3 pm and they got me right in. Preference is for music in background its more relaxing to me but none going this day. Just TV was going but on low as to not bother you to much. The first part of my pedicure was alright, a little rough, a young guy was doing it. When it came time for the callous remover and the gel was being applied, he got it all over the plastic that my foot was on and then he folded it over the top of my foot. Within a few minutes, the top of my foot was burning and I told him. He rinsed it off, but the top of my foot had a chemical burn. It is still scabbed. ZERO STARS. I went based off of Lee's reviews on here and I wish I would be able to give him a good review but unfortunately not. I'd give zero stars if I could, he was so rude to me and kept giving me attitude whenever he would communicate with me. As he was doing my nails he would tug in my arm and then throw it back to me when he finished. He cut my nails without asking me what length I wanted I'm assuming he thought I wanted short?? When it came to color the one on the nail sample was a SOLID color, not see thru. He did about 3 coats and tried to send me on my way when I mentioned to him that I obviously needed more he got up in frustration walked across the room came back with a completely different color and put that over my coat so they wouldn't be so "see thru" according to him. Anyways after another coat my nails were still very see thru but at this point I was annoyed and not having it so I let him finish, paid and left. I shouldn't have had to pay $54 for this set and a pedicure. If advise you take a detour and save your money! read more

My sister and I found this place by accident, and we've been coming here since. The name is perfect because MOST of them are actually friendly. There is a guy named Steven and he's hilarious! I don't get my nails done too often, but usually because the past experiences have been not that great--esp in the acrylics department. Very natural looking coffin shape; lee is not the verbose type, but he's good at what he does. I'm not looking for a friend, so that's all I care about. I absolutely LOVE this salon! I've been a regular customer for 4 years and have recommended it to many friends who love it too. They are always busy which in itself tells you they are good. They are super clean, friendly and efficient. Going there is pure pleasure. And they are so good at accommodating your appointments. Lee does my acrylic nails and he is a master at it. I always get compliments. They are super strong and don't look like acrylics, they look so natural. My pedicures are done by Tiffany, she is wonderful , meticulous and does a fabulous job.
