So, I've been way past needing a haircut for two months, and I wanted to get one in before CNY... wife's orders. I search up barber shops still open at 6pm, and Caesar's pops up. I call, and she says to come on down. I'm not adverse to a bad haircut, as my hair grows fast. But, when you get a flattop, it's baseball cap city for then few weeks when it goes wrong. (I'm looking at you, Sport Clips!) SHE CUT MY HAIR PERFECTLY!!! All I had to do was choose my side razor # and she Edward Scissorhands me like no tomorrow. I wasn't feeling the height after the first pass, which pisses off most barbers because they literally have to re-cut your hair to keep the proportions. She commented before I did! She says, it needs to be shorter, are you OK with that. I'm like yes ma'am - take my money! I am happy to announce that I am now in a long-term relationship with this barber shop. Against my better judgment, I decided to give them a shot since Caesar's is closed for Chinese New Year. That was a mistake. ​Here is why I won't be back: ​Dishonesty about Skill: I asked three separate times if the barber could do a flat top. He aggravatedly said he could. After a long, painful process, I walked out with a basic crew cut. If you can't do a specific style, just say so. ​Dull Equipment: It felt like his scissors and electric cutters haven't been sharpened in years. My hair was being pulled and yanked the entire time. It was incredibly uncomfortable. Here is a the weirdest part, you have to lean out of the chair, face-down into a sink for the shampoo. His assistant uses Dove bar soap on your head while alternating between ice-cold and scalding-hot water that runs straight up your nose, since you are face down. ​After charging $25 for the cut he clearly didnt deliver on, he actually asks for a tip...well, he said, "what? No tip?" ​I only have myself to blame for trusting him, but take my advice: if you value your hair (and dont like your hair pulled or your nose being flooded with hand soap), wait for your regular barber to get back or go literally anywhere else.

We showed her a picture of the hairstyle he wanted and let's just say we were happy with the result. $17 includes cut, wash, and style. The only thing is that she's kind of rough when styling. But other than that, she knows what she's doing. she's very quiet and serious when she's cutting, try to not feel so awkward about the dead air moments. Haha!

I decided to give them a call and see if they had time for an appointment later on. They were able to accommodate me in the next hour, perfect I was so excited. MEGAN cut my hair and she was so sweet and spent time on every trim. I mean I wasn't looking for anything fancy but it turned out so fancy and made me look alive again. Amazing what a stylist can do in one hour to turn around and get cute bangs and layered hair. Love my haircut and especially the after thought of using a hot iron to straighten it out.
