I didn't think I would ever go to a hair salon based on Yelp but I did and I'm so happy I came here! Normally, I need to be referred to trust someone with my hair. Pasqual was so nice so friendly and he accomplished everything I wanted! In the past I would sometimes feel intimidated by a new stylist I even allowed them to berate me probably because I thought well, it's their profession they know more so I would feel defeated. In the end I would fold to them and leave unhappy with the results. I appreciate input but delivery is key. Pasqual is not like that at all we talked about what I was looking for he gave good advice and no pressure. He took his time and I'm grateful. I have long thick hair and could tell he was very comfortable and confident while working on it. It's a very relaxed atmosphere and it was clear right away the staff have a really great relationship with each other. Came here with Lea. She needed a hair cut last minute and didn't have an appointment. Pascual was there when we walked in. He was with a client and greeted us immediately. He informed us that he might be able to take us if his 12 o'clock didn't show up. Fortunately for us, she didn't show. Lea had dead hair and wanted to cut her hair shorter. Pascual was very easy to talk to and gave Lea exactly what she wanted, a beautiful haircut. Overall Pascual was very charismatic and easy to talk to. Lea is very happy with her haircut. Well it was time for your girl to get something done to her hair, and of course not looking forward to it cause I have no luck in getting what I want. Boy, I am so happy I found this place. After looking on Groupon for some cheap cuts, and seeing the reviews for those great deals, it looked like the deal wouldn't be worth a bad cut or bad service. Instead I opted to browsing around on yelp for nearby places to which I came across Paz. Which so many great review and rating siting at 5 stars, well I certainly can't pass up on that right? I decided to give them a shot and called them the next morning on a Saturday. Now, since I had plans on being out of town by Wednesday and I had a free day today, I definitely preferred to get this all done today if possible. Called once, no answer. Called twice, still no answer. Then waited another 20 minutes and I finally got an answer from Pascual. I tried to tell him over the phone what I wanted and can I get it done today, to which he said he could not do it himself but see if he could fit me in with Jacqueline instead. I call back later from him and I then had confirmation I would get my hair done today. Arrive at appointment at 2. Seated by Pascual and waited for my stylist till which she came in 10 minutes later than me, which is okay, no problem. Get started right away with what I want, show her the picture of exactly what I want, cut, color and all. Lucky for her, I'm just a blonde wanting to go a bit more blonder and get rid of some bleached out yellow, so I figured it wouldn't be that hard to figure out right? So I thought with the 3 other salons I've been to within the last year for the same request and them not following through. I was hoping those yelp reviews were all through. She started with a cut, cutting off a bit off at a time until we settled on a desired length. Then it got to discussing how exactly I wanted the color and where. And I know what I want, but it's hard to word it, and we were both seeing different ideas to what my hair should look like. To which Pascual hopped into the picture throwing out suggestions, which I though was great. Not that Jacque wasn't getting it, just Pascual saw what I envisioned a little more. Couple hours later, we get to washing it out, toning it, and yay the yellow is finally out! Buuut I still wanted my hair a little bit brighter..it stilled looked too dark near the roots and mid head. And this is kinda where we had our different ideas. In my head was envisioning highlights and didn't know how to word it, she suggested ombré/ balayage. We settled in the middle with ideas and she went back and put highlights on my hair while still keeping what she had done. More time goes by and I can finally see what I wanted. For once in all my salon extravagant experience. I got want I wanted. The entire time Jacque was fun to talk to and it was good vibes all around. Pascual's opinions on what she can do were helpful and Jacque just ended up doing an amazing job. They were both nice enough to keep me after close. And I'm so grateful she was able to put on with my confusing idea of what I wanted. So at the end of the day, I love my hair, and they now have me forever coming to them. read more

This review is for the lovely Jessica :) I had been wanting to color my hair for awhile now. It's been years since I've colored and my hair was an all-natural black color. I was so hesitant, but at the same time, I felt like it was time for a change, and what better time to do it before your birthday celebration? I began my search for the right stylist Tuesday night, around 11pm. Being the stubborn, impatient girl that I can be sometimes, I felt like I ABSOLUTELY needed it done Wednesday because that was the only day I was available. Oh, and my birthday celebration is coming up this weekend. I was able to contact several people - some were booked, and others had asking prices that were way out of my reach, even without me showing them my hair. I have LONG & THICK hair, so I'm positive they would have asked for a much higher price than usual. LUCKILY, I came across Salon Paz. I looked at pictures that were posted, and I saw Jessica's work and absolutely LOVED it. I thought to myself, "Oh my God, how am I gonna contact her? I need to contact her ASAP!" Fortunately, I was able to find it, and I texted her first thing in the morning, around 8am. I love that she replied RIGHT AWAY, so I sent her a picture of my hair, what I wanted, and she gave me the price up front, which is so affordable! I came in, nervous and excited at the same time. I knew I was gonna be there for awhile, and I was wondering to myself whether or not it was gonna be awkward or weird being with a person I don't know for however many hours. However, Jessica made me feel so comfortable the WHOLE time! She explained the process to me, and when she put something in my hair or used something on my hair, she told me what it was and why it was being used, which I really appreciated, being that I haven't had my hair colored in years. I love that Jessica is really personable and is able to relate to her clients. She has this happy attitude that just makes you smile, even though I was uncomfortable at times (my hair is so long and thick, and with the addition of color and foil on my head, you can only imagine the straining my neck went through). She knew how difficult the process must have been for my neck, so she kept asking how I was doing, checking on me, and adjusting my head when possible so that I could be the most comfortable. Jessica is very meticulous about her work, and she really wants you to be happy with the result. I asked her to trim my hair and keep my length. Weird right? But a lot of people have been saying my hair looks longer! Additionally, I was probably annoying her with SO MANY texts I was sending about which products would be okay/not okay for my hair, and she had answered all of them quickly and happily. Inside the salon and outside the salon, you can really tell she cares about her clients. I am SO GLAD I found her. I can't tell you how many compliments I've been receiving about my hair, and I can't tell you how much it's brought out my confidence. If you're looking for someone, Jessica's the girl to call. I have been everywhere for a hair cut/color. Yet, I have never found a place where I was like.."ahh, finally.." Until today people!! I got my hair done 4 months ago for my cousin's wedding and it was a nightmare. I found this wonderful salon back in May when I was searching for the perfect salon to do my hair. Last time I dyed my hair was back in 2009 so I was really hesitant/ scared to try something new again...BUT I felt it was time for a change. After researching salons around my work and home area I decided to try out Salon Paz. They had great reviews on Yelp and the pictures of their work on here speak for themselves. I made an appointment with the owner Pascual, who by the way is such a polite, funny, friendly guy! He did a great job on dying my dark brown hair a light brown/bronze color and straightening my curly hair super fast! He even showed me how to style my hair different ways. I returned last week for my second time and Pascual did an amazing job of dying my hair red! I'm super happy with my hair and my bf, friends, and fam all love it as well! I would HIGHLY recommend Salon Paz to anybody! The salon itself is very clean, their staff is nice, friendly, and really know what they are doing. I had faded out red highlights with my dark brown/black hair, and wanted something a little bit brighter, but still natural. Poor girl put up with my indecisiveness and millions of questions, and was also battling sinus issues. She was so patient with me and incredibly knowledgable.
