OMG! We came to Florida in 2018 and found Friends! And I'm going to tell you......go there once and they certainly make you feel like you are family. The owner regularly comes out to greet his customers. He is an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan and always teases my husband who is a Washington Commanders fan! they have a ball going back and forth. The variety and taste of the food is wonderful. The place is amazing and we love the owner and the staff. We been coming ever since because they are our FRIENDS! read more

Awful service, waited forever to place an order because our waitress forgot about us. Pancakes were leathery and bacon was bad quality. Bathrooms were absolutely disgusting, looks like they have never been mopped ever! Don't want to imagine how gross the kitchen is. Waitress asked if food was good I said no. She says excellent. 7 plates and only thing edible was the pancakes and French toast. The 3 adults ordered omelets and an egg Benedict all the meat was rotten. I went to pay at the counter the lady asked me how was it. I told her terrible she laughed and smirked. I said no I am serious there was something wrong with all the meat. It tasted spoiled she said oh well that sucks. I said I shouldn't be paying for all the food we sent back but she didn't care rang it all up. I paid and left. I will never return here. We live very close to Friends and go quite often and order takeout as well. They 100% of the time are excellent! This is not a cute beachfront , latte' serving establishment. It's a GREAT place to have eggs and bacon, grits , sausage ,pancakes etc... no nonsense quality food! It's right at the foot of the bridge across from police station. You'll recognize it by all the cars, trucks and golf carts out front. Great food and great prices, no pretense. read more

By far the friendliest restaurant in Central Florida. Definitely a place that the staff makes you feel at home immediately. it's small and a bit off the beaten path. Definitely a local hang-out. The food is pretty decent. Cooked good and fast. Everything was prepared fresh. Really enjoyed their french toast. They do have daily specials (toady's was a cherry pie french toast). This is more a place that you go to enjoy the atmosphere mainly. if i lived closer I would be there daily. They really make you feel welcomed and that's a big plus. Ate here at opening one morning while visiting Flagler Beach for work. Service was alright, coffee was ok. The breakfast itself was a bit underwhelming. I don't expect much from a breakfast cafe, but eggs, potato and breakfast meats are easy. The potatoes, I think red potatoes, were not cooked or seasoned well & waxy (the reasoning for using russet typically) eggs were sloppy and greasy and the 8 top must've simply overwhelmed the small kitchen, even with the relatively straight forward breakfasts ordered. read more

We have been regular customers for breakfast for the past 2 years (have frequented at least 10 times), normally we are satisfied with the quality and value...today, however was a very different story. Our server, Shannon, seemed to have a negative attitude from the start. We ordered the following: Husband: pancake breakfast, with three eggs instead of two, it came with sausage links, coffee. I ordered veggie omelet with only mushrooms and peppers, and asked if I could swap out the toast and potatoes for sliced tomatoes and two turkey sausage patties. Shannon said "sure" ...(she never said it would be an additional $3.99). I normally order two scrambled eggs with tomatoes and sausage patties . The turkey sausage was dry, overcooked, super spicy, I ate two bites and left the rest. We sat with dirty plates the entire time when we were done, and saw other tables getting much better, friendlier service. When we went to pay, the total was $24.04...normally our bill is under $20.00.. When I politely asked why it was so high, that is when Shannon really got rude, in fact the gal at the cash register apologized for her. I doubt we will be back...I left feeling very unsatisfied and ripped off. read more
