I promise on everyrhing I love, the green beans were microwaved out of the can and served no salt, pepper or any effort at all to try to make them taste ok. My son had an odd craving for fried chicken. I say odd because we never eat fried chicken other than maybe in a restaurant where that is one of many other menu items. We did a search on Yelp for "fried chicken" and Frito Chicken was the first place on the list. It had pretty good reviews, so we decided to try it out. We ordered online and had it delivered to our home. It was at our door about 45 minutes after we ordered. The chicken was very good. I had a "chicken burger" (boneless fried chicken on a bun with lettuce, tomato, and mayo) and it was very good. My son loved the fried chicken strips. My other son and I shared some chicken wings. He likes things spicy and said the "spicy" wings weren't spicy at all. I liked the honey BBQ wings. My wife had a quarter white roast chicken and said it was good. We shared some side dishes of fries, yucca, and plantains. The fries and yucca were okay - not bad but nothing to rave about or go out of your way for. The fries were a little soft and soggy by the time they got to our house. The plantains were pretty good. The great news for me was that I did NOT wake up with a headache the following morning. I get a migraine headache from the MSG in fast food fried chicken, so I was taking a chance in giving Frito Chicken a try, and I was very pleased NOT to wake up in agony this morning. Hit or miss !! I ate here few times .. 1) tender chicken are too spicy and kids can't eat it , also it's not really tender and mostly dry ! One time was perfectly done juicy but all other times was not ! 2) they fry ton of chicken and leave under the warmer, so if you aren't very luck you will end up with a dry chicken that's probably fried 30+ minutes ago .. Overall, there's no consistency in quality, and that's mainly due to poor management. After a year of getting my fried chicken fix, I'd like to say they've stayed consistent with their taste and service. There won't be any price factor in this review simply because they're the only halal fried chicken that caters the area and you can't put a price on that. Their sauces are delicious and worth mixing when eating their fried chicken. Crispy and well cooked, it's a paramount of difference compared to the fast food chains. Only area of improvement because I do love their sauces, is to provide a sign for a limit on the amount of sauces per order that is allowable. This might have been the only experience I felt a bitter taste because while I've never encountered a problem with the amount that's given before nor asked for more, today I wanted to spice things up (literally) and get 2 more small cups of than the normal amount usually given. Little did I know that that 2 more was the exact amount that would break the camels back. The cashier was nice enough to provide his reasoning for why and still ended up giving the sauces, happy meal indeed. Overall, even after a year of ordering their fried chicken, their quality has remained the same and that shows enough about how much they care about providing tasty meals. We ordered a little bit of everything and here is what we thought: Broast chicken - phenomenal. Very good seasoning and a very generous portion. Fried chicken - very very good. Not your usual oily and heavy chicken. Had a very nice seasoning on it as well. Chicken tenders - loved em. Very big size tenders. Would definitely order them again. The sides were good as well and the owners gave us some milkshakes to try as well and they were a big hit. Prices were extremely fair for the quality and portion of the food. We sat and chatted with the owners for a while too and they were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Just a great place that checks all the marks.
