Unfortunately, frito chicken wasn't as good as what we expected. We order 1/4 roasted chicken and 5 pcs fried chicken with fries. The roast chicken was ok, but it was served cold. The fried chicken was greasy and undercooked. It is a common knowledge that fried chicken need to set to rest for few minutes before serving, but our order was served directly fro the fryer. It was very hot that we couldn't even touch it at first, and then we started to cut into the meat it was watery and undercooked. The fries and side sauces were good! read more

Came here on a Sunday around 6pm. There weren't many diners inside when we got there and it seemed they did lots of carry out orders. It took a tad longer than expected for them to prepare two fried chicken entrees for us but it wasn't super long. I'm glad that it came out fresh. Had the dark meat fried chicken and it was good. Was crispy and didn't notice a lot of spice with a kick to it but it tasted fine. Maybe add a touch more salt for me but I like things salty. The fries were really good. They were seasoned fries. I'm glad I looked at some of the pictures on Yelp before I came because the fried rice is not typical fried rice. It's made with basmati rice, I think. So it's drier. The cut up veggie in it seemed fresh though. It didn't have a lot of flavor so I added some salt to it. It might be good if they had some soy sauce at the condiments counter to add to their rice. Our orders came with some green and white sauce, sauces that would typically come a Peruvian chicken place. This was a bit confusing as we didn't order the roasted chicken. Some families came in towards the end of our visit and the place filled up. Over all good fried chicken. I'd come again but wouldn't say it was the best fried chicken. I visited Frito Chicken in mid April and I haven't been back since so hopefully the cons have been improved. Pros: Chicken is very tasty and has a nice spicy kick to it. Cons: the restaurant was dirty, my feet were sticking to the floor--of course this made me wonder about the food I was purchasing The young lady working asked if I wanted any sauces, I said sure, what are my options. She couldn't tell me, she said I'm not really sure??? One sauce was a "house sauce" so I asked if that was the special sauce or the sauce they were known for--she didn't know. Upon getting home and trying the 'house sauce' I immediately recognized it, it was Italian Salad Dressing! The worker didn't realize that Fritos house sauce was the salad dressing. Last problem for me was the fried rice, this was awful! It was beyond dry and flavorless. Normally I would have returned the item, however, the same worker (as described above) didn't return my receipt to me when I picked up my order. Lesson learned. At this point the chicken isn't that great for me to return. Hopefully they have improved their cleanliness and the staff has gotten better. read more

Okay so the service wasn't that bad I liked the cashier however, the food on the other hand... I got a chicken sandwich fries and mashed potatoes and I am not exaggerating when I say this is quite possibly the most bland food I've ever had at a restaurant. The chicken sandwich was literally two bland dry tenders thrown in a bun and the fries were basically potato sticks no salt on them, those mashed potatoes though that was the worst mashed potatoes I've ever had and it's not close no seasoning just tastes like ground potato in a bowl. AHH finally a delicious Peruvian/fried chicken spot in Ashburn!!! (also, halal meat!)We ordered roasted chicken and fried chicken and both were brought out fresh and steaming. The chicken was so juicy and tender it was falling off the bones. The roasted chicken had a nice smoky flavor and the fried chicken's batter was so flavorful. Of course, the classic yellow Peruvian chicken sauce was yummy and the other options included a STRONG barbecue and tangy buffalo sauce. We tried the sides of gravy and yuca. The gravy was tasty but the yuca could've been cooked a bit more. Service was wonderful and we were asked if we needed anything multiple times even though it's a fast-food type place. We visited this place the second day after it opened. The fried chicken tenders were crispy and fresh : needed a dash of salt but tasted good with the dipping sauces. The roast chicken is delicious! We got the thigh and breast pieces both, and they were succulent and moist. The side of mashed potatoes was tasty, and the coleslaw and fries were just okay. Visited this location for early dinner this weekend. The place looks dumpy . The floor and entire place was dirty looking . Our table was dirty and wobbly. The place needs painted and cleaned up . The chicken portion was extremely small , 1/4 chicken was so small . The fried rice was different and not that good . My son ordered the friend chicken it was a nice size portion . The employee at the register was very kind and friendly. Overall I would suggest people to go somewhere else to eat . They need to paint and remodel this place. I think it's safe to say this is the best fried chicken in all of Virginia. After moving here from NY 3 years ago it's been a struggle finding places that i really enjoy eating at or ordering from. Frito chicken filled that void almost immediately! Their fried chicken is spectacular. Not your usual heavy, oily meat - this was different - they make it in a way where there is just the right amount of oil and flavor. The meat is tender and juicy. My toddler boys, both picky eaters, love the roast chicken, and they almost never eat white meat. My husband who prefers boneless meat loves ordering the tenders. Weve had the lemon pepper wings too and they were delicious as well, it was a new flavor for me but i really enjoyed it. I see myself coming back again often, they are also very accomdating to their family meals. They are not stingy on extra plates, sauces, etc. Owners seem very friendly and they truly care about their customers. If youre unsure of where to eat out tonight, don't think twice, just GO.
