When Dr. Markenson heard that I was there to make an appointment, he would have none of that and promptly sat me down in the chair and fixed my tooth there and then. No waiting, no future appointment, just a fixed tooth to get me on my way.

All the paperwork was drawn up and ready to sign. I said, this is just a second opinion and you guys are a lot more expensive than the other ortho we consulted. I made it very clear I was not signing or authorizing any work. They seemed to be confused by this. A few months later, I received a bill from my insurance saying they've been billing them for work performed. I immediately called then because this payment is affecting my daughters dental benefit. The lady I spoke to seemed to be confused. She explained that it was a billing mistake. I asked how? We never agreed to do any work? She said she would reimburse the amount billed and stop the billing. Well, here we are months later, and I get a letter in the mail from my insurance stating they've paid them $1300. Even after i spoke to them, they are still fraudulently billing my insurance company and affecting our benefits. Funny how I can't get a hold of anyone. I reported them to my insurance company as fraud and will pursue legal action if needed. Not a good place. Would not recommend them to anyone. Bad business practices.

We were overcharged and when I called they apologized and told me the service was coded wrong. They promised a refund just to wrap me into a bureaucracy hell. The lady in billing department tells me that there are open claims and refund cannot be issued. I called my insurance they told me they paid everything. Please teach your contractors some manners when talking to people. I am a big believer that you get more bees with honey not vinegar, unlike your clerks.

He doesn't have a dental hygienist who cleans your teeth, he's a do-it-himself kind of guy...with that said, this place is soooo outdated. Making an appointment with him is as difficult as trying to get his staff to submit your dental services to insurance company correctly. (Sometimes the "forget") The past couple of years, we've had many issues with incorrect billing and it's probably because he has a high turn around rate with his staff. The blonde receptionist that quit was as rude as can be every time you engaged with her. The last time I was getting my teeth cleaned, I was getting my teeth polished and the Asian dental hygienist pictured in the yelp profile was talking shit about my mom, TO ME. Needless to say, I never returned after that. I found my entire family a new dentist and we are very happy. He lost an EXCELLENT dental hygienist, sadly I can't remember her name but she was beautiful and understanding (black hair, second picture with multi colored top on to the left of Dr. Post)
