    Award winning wines

This is a difficult review to write. 3.5 would be more accurate. First, the wines are exceptionally good. The Voignier was excellent. And another full bodied red, COAX, was terrific. But why on earth have us sample them when they aren't available for purchase? Oh, I know. Join their Citizens Wine Club and get them shipped. And that's the entire focus. They pushed the club to the point we were uncomfortable. Also, the educational push was much. Georgia grapes. California grapes. Swish. Don't swish. Aerate. Don't aerate. Don't refrigerate whites. Yada yada yada. Let folks enjoy their wine any dang way they want. Don't judge. There's no right or wrong. Food? Expensive, but excellent. A sandwich is large enough to split. But there's a $6 split fee because they double the side salad and chips to two plates. That's a mandatory up charge. The small cheese plate was ample. Wines & Food? 5 stars. The hype & push took away the joy of the experience. Unfortunate. These are superb wines. Enjoy them. Just avoid sitting at the bar and the lecture that comes with it.

I had a sample of different red wines. Audacity- a bit too robust for me, but rich in flavor. The wife enjoyed it. Enabler- great taste it didn't bite, pretty smooth and worth it to slow sip it. I enjoyed it. Clos Primavera co-equal- a bit flat for me, sorry not my favorite. Primavera proclivity- it left an aftertaste and was a bit bitter We had some mozzarella cheese awesome Chicken fried rice awesome Macaroon and biscotti awesome Overall an 8.5

We recently hosted our son's wedding rehearsal dinner at Frogtown and it was everything I had hoped for! Cydney (one of the owners) helped us craft a wonderful menu and Craig selected a delicious array of wines which we loved. Dinner was delicious and beautifully plated. The arancini which were selected as an appetizer were a particular favorite of our guests. The view and landscaping made for some spectacular pictures, and the interior needed little embellishment to set the mood for an elegant and beautiful meal shared with family and friends. Thank you Craig and Cydney for a wonderful experience for our group!

The majority of my stars are for attentive service from our server Julia and the spectacular views. We had lunch and a tasting for a group of 7. Food came out quickly but many plates were cold (paninis and pizzas) and the chips were soggy and rubbery on every plate. The pizza dough was amazing and so were the desserts we had. Now to the wines......the worst we tried all day. The tastings were individual and the group consensus was that no one liked their flights. So maybe skip the wine and just enjoy lunch in between other wineries in the area. The views are gorgeous and serene. Definitely worth a visit.

The best out of 7 wineries in the area we tried. Definitely the best experience overall! We loved the service! They actually took the time to show you what they had to offer, and you didn't feel like a production line. Frogtown makes a custom tasting list for you! Super nice to try the ones you want! I hate wineries that pick which wines you are tasting for you. Frogtown will also give you fresh homemade chips to help distinguish. If you love dry/semi dry red wines you will love this place! The flavor was amazing! Glad I stopped here for my birthday! One of the best views on the deck as well.

Next stop on our wine tour. Short drive from Wolf Mountain. Parking was a little rough as we had to park all the way at the bottom of the hill. Drop everyone off and let the fittest of your group park the car and do 'the hill'! lol We were sat outside which was nice. Great views of the winery and the weather just right. We opted to try the red and white flights. Solid wines. I thought all of the reds were big and flavorful. Whites were full bodied and buttery to dry and crisp. We did not have any food but it look good but seemed a little pricey. A solid stop but would rather have just went to the bar and done a tasting but that was not allowed yet.

Nice view from the top deck

Great views, good food, and below par service. Lots of potential but poor execution here. They are obviously understaffed and disorganized when it comes to properly serving their customers. Expect to wait 15 minutes for water and 20+ minutes to pay your bill when you're done. The food itself was good, although slightly overpriced. We had a Tascano pizza and the King George panini. The wine is good as well. We had the MSV wine which was very smooth, buttery, and not too sweet. In the end, the great view, good food, and tasty wine were overshadowed by laughably bad service. Me and my fiancé got to the point where we just expected more issues and laughed as they came. Here's a list of them! 1. Took about 10 minutes to be approached by a server 2. Waters took 15 minutes 3. We were told by the waitress (without even asking) that we could be moved to a better table....then we saw someone else get seated at said table 4. Our wine glasses were fresh out of the dishwasher and hot (we were drinking white wine...) 5. We waited 25 minutes to see our server again to pay the bill 6. The server came back after we already paid and said that the transaction didn't go through because of a bad internet connection and they had to run us through the system again. At least we have a good sense of humor because the experience was comically bad. Do not recommend to my worst enemy.

Words truly cannot describe how magical our wedding was at Neverland Farms. There isn't a wedding…read morevenue that is more gorgeous, picturesque, unique, and IMMERSED in nature, than Neverland Farms. Our wedding guests raved all night (and are still raving) about how our wedding is the most beautiful wedding they've ever been to (domestically and internationally). My maid of honor and several of my friends asked if I would mind if they had their weddings at Neverland Farms too! Truthfully, I'd love ANY excuse to come back. The owner, Suzy, her team, and the atmosphere of this place is something so special. From the horse and carriage ride into the ceremony that will leave your guests awe struck, to the expansive 120 acre property full of lush greenery, this is a luxury venue with natural charm. The owner, Suzy, is one of the best people I've ever met in my life. The moment we met, she pulled me and my now husband in for a huge, loving hug. The rest of our experience for the next year and a half followed suit. She made our wedding planning a breeze and full of love. She took care of us with so much attention to detail. I never felt stressed during the entire planning process. Suzy's entire wedding team carries the same energy. The day is about YOU and it is so felt. They waited on our every beck and call. I really felt like a princess. And EVERYTHING was meticulously planned to make sure we weren't left feeling without a single thing. Nora, Taylor, Ann, Pam, Mitzi, and Michael are all such beautiful souls and I will cherish the part they played in our wedding day for the rest of my life. I literally was hugging everyone all night! When you come to Neverland Farms, they treat you like a lifelong friend. It's the best feeling to have on your wedding day. Okay please believe - the compliments about the food are ALL TRUE! Neverland does not offer a taste testing, but it truly is not necessary. We knew the food was going to be delicious based on previous reviews, but Chef Michael knocks it out the park. I have a southern family that loves to cook - so our expectations were very high. Everything was spectacular and some of the best cooking I've ever had. That illegal Mac and cheese would be my desert island food. It can be difficult to find a wedding venue that caters, provides bar service, in-house day-of coordination, decor, chairs & tables, etc. The price is affordable and in NO way do you have to compromise on any part of the magic you'd want on your wedding day. Everyone here goes above and beyond. I'm the kind of person who obsesses over the details so I wanted to leave an honest review about this venue. Here were some of my concerns PRIOR to our tour that aren't mentioned in previous reviews and hopefully I can clarify them for the next bride! - I personally did not want a "country/southern" wedding and if you're a similar bride, this venue has southern elements, but feels more like a whimsical, luminous, enchanting private hideaway for you and your loved ones. - We are from south FL so I was concerned about the lack of diversity in the area. Although it's not very diverse, everyone is so nice in the surrounding towns. And once you're in Neverland Farms, you have 120 private acres to yourself. I could go on infinitely about how perfect our entire experience was. If you're on the fence, PLEASE at least go tour the venue. You will not be disappointed. Two days after our wedding, I still have blissful goosebumps. Please excuse the low quality photos! Our professional photos are not back yet :)

We recently had the utmost pleasure of hosting our wedding at Neverland Farms, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. From the moment I had my first call with Suzy, to the first time we set foot on the property to the last dance of the evening, everything was simply perfect. It was more than perfect. It was a dream. Venue and Atmosphere: The venue itself is a hidden gem, nestled in the heart of Cleveland, GA. The natural beauty of the surroundings, with lush woods, a charming barn, and a serene pond, provided an exquisite backdrop for our special day. Whether you're going for an elegant, rustic, or modern wedding, this venue can transform to suit your vision. Staff and Service: The staff at Neverland Farms went above and beyond to make our day flawless. They were professional, attentive, and extremely accommodating, and genuine all amazing people. Suzy and Nora were a dream to work with, ensuring that every detail was taken care of. The service provided by the entire team was impeccable.. and honestly unheard of. There wasn't a single thing they missed, a single thing that wasn't absolutely perfect. At the end of the day the only thing that saddened me was that I wouldn't be seeing any of these amazing people anytime soon. They genuinely felt like family and the closest of friends. Catering and Food: The catering at Neverland Farms is top-notch and I am a huge foodie who has spent years working in a kitchen. The menu options were diverse, and the food was not only delicious but beautifully presented. Many of our guests raved about the quality of the food, and the accommodating staff ensured that all dietary restrictions were well-handled. I can't tell you how many people have asked for recipes. I am sure every single item on their menu selection is divine but the tomato bisque, smoked salmon and Mac n Cheese are sinful. If we didn't have a barn full of guests I would have spent the entire evening just stuffing my face. After thought I should have totally brought a doggie bag to sneak some snacks to take home ha! Amenities and Facilities: The venue offers a range of amenities and facilities that made our day even more dreamy. The bridal suite and groom's loft were both beautiful and like nothing I have ever seen before. Suzy keeps the bridal suite a secret to the day of and I wont go into too much detail but walking in for the first time brought tears to my eyes. The sound and lighting systems were excellent, and the dance floor was perfectly nestled in the center of the hall. The entire venue is overflowing with natural light, trees, ferns and more twinkly lights that you could ever imagine. Value for Money: I have nothing to say here except Neverland Farms is worth every single penny and cent. Weddings seem exponential when it comes to cost for something that truly goes by in a flash. But, I would do it all again and only at Neverland Farms. Overall: And, here is where my waterworks start. Our wedding at Neverland Farms was truly a fairy-tale experience. And, yes I know that is a cliche but it's true and there are no other words to describe it. The combination of the beautiful venue, outstanding service, and delicious food made it a day we, and our guests, will cherish forever. If you're looking for the perfect wedding venue, amazing people to help and stand by you, and memories to last a lifetime... I wholeheartedly recommend Neverland Farms. Hats off to the entire team for making our special day a dream come true. We will love you all forever. We will miss you all dearly. Thank You from the deepest crevices of our hearts.

In order to make my visit worthwhile, I decided to participate in the wine blending experience. Please note that this has to be booked ahead of time for them to prepare the items you need for the experience. When I entered the reception area of the winery I was greeted by who I know now is one of the owners which was a pleasant surprise. You get escorted down to the basement where the barrels and other items used in the winemaking process are stored. Imagine my excitement when I noticed the blending set up looked like a chemistry lab. The STEM girlie in me couldn't have been more excited! You are given some background on the history of the type of wines available and how certain blends are made. Once that is done, you are guided through blending your own wine; using 3 types of blends that are made on site at Kaya. The blends are red wines so if you prefer white blends this experience may not be for you. Once you complete your blend you seal it and label it and voila! Your own personalized wine. This experience was amazing and I wouldn't hesitate to come back to try it again. Nick was a top tier teacher for this experience!

It wasn't like the tour itself but actually got to make some bottles to take home of the wine. That in itself was worth it! So first things first you'll get there and you'll come into the lounge or cabin area and there are a couple of different spots you can go to. There is actually a spot for members only from what it looks like but there is a general spot and then there is a whole outdoor area like a patio. They have another outdoor area that is on the side of the building that you get the best view of the greenery and that's pretty amazing. It's a really nice view. If you're hungry, they have some small bites for you so don't feel like you have to drink and then not eat. Just in case you're wondering, they will have finger foods for you. It's nothing major but it's like dip or something along those lines so don't expect steaks. For the bottling you will go down to the basement where they have all the barrels (Nick was awesome and took care of everyone there). You will get to try a couple of different wines and mix those together to find a specific one that you like. At the end they will help you bottle it and cork it and then you will take it home. Overall if you haven't done any of the winery things in this part of Georgia, it would be a good place to start. Especially because there's so many in this area that you can do several in one day.

We bought tickets online and they had our name and feed purchases ready when we pulled up. Greeter gave us our buckets and explained the rules. We were probably one of the first cars through, so the animals were sort of hanging out far from the road. First animal we see is an emu in the distance on my niece's side. We are so focused on looking at that one and trying to get her excited, that I didn't even notice one had sneaked up on my side of the car and literally stuck his head in the window and grabbed feed from the bucket on my lap which startled me a bit which then proceeded to startle my niece...and that essentially set the tone for the rest of our time there. Next we came to the zebras. We were warned that they were a little pushy and had teeth like donkeys. You're taught to hold the bucket outside the car, but they pushed themselves inside the window (on my niece's side of course) and kept trying to grab the bucket, which just ended up dumping half of it into the car. We also saw some quiet, polite deer in the woods as well as some antelope in the distance. Next, we saw some llamas (or maybe alpacas). They too are a little pushy, but not as bad as the zebras. I think one even stopped at my window and smiled to pose for me to take his picture before he helped himself to another half a bucket of feed. Then we get to the camel. All prior animals were able to literally get in our car. The camel is inside a pen thankfully....He comes to the edge of his fence and we pulled close enough to where I could hold the bucket out my niece's side. He immediately grabbed the bucket from my hand, held it over his head to eat it, then dropped the bucket on the ground. I'm thinking I have to get the bucket back because I don't want to get in trouble. Problem #1 is, the first rule is to stay in your car at all times. Problem #2, some of the emus have now followed us and are quickly approaching from the rear. I climb into the front passenger seat, open the door, grab the bucket and quickly get back into the car. Meanwhile, the camel has moved on. He got what he wanted and had lost interest, figuring he would just wait on the next unsuspecting victim in the next car. We pass some water buffalo and the longhorns and a couple of highland cows. An ostrich quickly runs up the road in front of us so we can't get away. He helps himself and seemed a little more polite and pretty than the emus, so I let him snack. Eventually, we found the parking area and petting zoo. Mind you, there are signs telling you not to pet them or feed from your hand...but still call it a "petting zoo." Fed the goats and a huge pig. Made our way to the giraffes and someone shared some lettuce with my niece so she could feed them. She didn't love it, but didn't freak as much. Then we go to the aviary. We had bought three sticks with sticky seed on it, all of which I was carrying when we entered. I think we walked into a Hitchcock movie.... Parakeets swarm us the second we enter. Land on the sticks, our arms and my niece's head. That went over well.... Tried to direct her attention to the pretty birds and bright colors. Figured we should just exit quickly so we did. Went to gift shop where she bought a stuffed highland cow and all was well again!

After visiting over five properties, all were either too rustic or too cookie cutter perfect. On our final site visit, we knew we had found THE place at Mountain Laurel Farm. The farm is located just inside the Chattahoochee National Forest which provides so many scenic views. Driving up, you're just taken away by the tranquil peace of the property. The barn itself is quite rustic, but it's so charming and still provides the basic necessities (restrooms, electricity). Although there is no climate control, we had no issue with the heat on our wedding date after opening all the doors and windows and adding a few household fans. I do wish there had been more resources in the catering room; I'm hoping Melody can make some upgrades there in the future (running water/industrial sink, ice machine, larger fridge/freezer). However, our caterer had no issues with making the catering area work for them. Melody, the property owner/manager, was incredibly easy to work with. She was so patient throughout the process, quickly answering all my questions and concerns. She has so much décor and so many props and furniture available at the barn, along with her linen rentals, you really only need to show up with your food and beverage. She had lots of good ideas about how to set-up the barn so that it would maximize space for our guests. We loved having access to the farmhouse for the wedding day. Although no one lodged there, it was a welcome place for me and my bridesmaids to finish getting ready, as well as a cool spot for our wedding party and us to rest after the ceremony and before photos. It was fun to look out onto the ceremony space before the ceremony and after and see all of our family and friends gathering for our special day. The property is located a short distance from a major interstate, and just off a main highway, with close access to resources (grocery store, entertainment and cultural activities, department chain stores). This was helpful to our friends and families, all traveling in from out of town. Most of our guests made a weekend of the trip, visiting Helen, wineries, water activities, and all the other things the area has to offer. There are many rental cabins close-by and we also held a block of hotel rooms in Helen which was convenient for our guests. If you are looking for a charming rustic location with wonderful amenities and breathtaking views, I highly recommend Mountain Laurel Farm for any wedding or social occasion!
