A friend and I recently returned to the Rose Bowl flea market after more than a decade. I used to…read moredo a lot of Thrifting, but slowed down once I started shopping online on eBay, Etsy, Poshmark, and similar sites. It does not match the thrill of seeing things firsthand, but definitely saves time. We did not go super early in the morning when they probably had the best stuff because neither of us were looking for anything specific. Just wanted to check it out. There is definitely a large amount of vintage clothes, furniture, housewares, and other collectibles. There are a couple of plant stalls, although we only checked out one. It is awesome. That real bathrooms are available as opposed to ports potties. There is a small food court and a couple of food and drinks stands throughout although the selection isn't super gourmet. I believe the coffee was well over $10 a cup and that is for iced coffee, not cold brew. I don't think there were any espresso drinks. It can get quite hot walking around in the parking lot so I would suggest dressing accordingly. I noticed several people brought little carts to carry their purchases. The parking is free, but there is a lot of walking so you would have to carry your purchases a long way if you do not have a cart.

Great for people watching. The serious buying all happens before the sun even rises. Prices are…read moreelevated above other markets due to the size and frequency of. Overall a fun time to walk around if it's not too hot out. Can be unpleasant during summer months due to lack of shade and heat. Go and see the beat items but keep the wallet closed.

Little Tokyo Famers Market... I don't mean to make a joke, but putting the term, "Little," in front…read moreof the name of this farmers market is very ideal. Because, this is a very-very small farmers market. This is not a criticism. This is just a fact. When you come to this farmers market, there's only a few sellers offering fresh produce. This being stated, however, these sellers do offer some very good vegetables and/or fruit items. But, you just have to keep in mind, your selection is going to be very limited when you come here. Other than some vegetables and/or fruit, you will find various sellers offering various other items at different points throughout the year. The sellers at this farmers market change frequently. So, you probably shouldn't expect to go one time, come back to the next, and expect that same seller to be there. They may be there or they may not. In terms of location, this farmers market is located in the shopping plaza just across from the central area of the Little Tokyo shopping and dining area. So, it's very easy to find. It's right off the 2nd Street. This farmers market certainly serves its purpose, but you just have to keep in mind that what's offered here is not defined by large quantities or a large selection. Nonetheless, you may find exactly what you're looking for.

Food Access LA assists JACCC in hosting the weekly local flavor with food stands, artisans and makers with handcrafted goods, many sharing Japanese culture along the way. Because of this pairing, the market accepts CalFresh EBT and SUN Bucks. CalFresh-EBT and SUN Bucks benefits are eligible to purchase of $10 fresh fruits and vegetables and $10 for the purchase of any food item at the market which is amazing! They are working on getting WIC and the Senior Farmers' Market Nutrition Program accepted in the future, as well. This makes my heart so happy that this farmers market is truly making a difference for people. The market itself was just the right size for me - not too big, not too small! A few places I tried and liked: Mister Riceball - smart concept and absolutely delicious! Middle Ground Coffee - great flavor in the cold brew! and check out the cool farms involved: Tamai Farms Yamabushi Farms G Farms Henry's Farms Osorio Family Farms Garcia Ruelas Hernandez Brothers Family Farm Shigeru Nursery I love this city!!! They also had a few tattoo vendors that will give you one on the spot. They also have a few stores around the area. Didn't buy anything from the vendors at the flea market but did buy a matcha bowl and whiskey holder for a really good price along with a sun hat at one of the stores inside the galleria. Will certainly be back, they validate parking too. That's always cool. Lost a star because they didn't really have much restaurants or places to eat or grab a snack. They also have an Asian market/grocery store, so if you want to grab groceries after checking the flea market, that's convenient.

It is incredibly crowded for such a small market. There are vendors selling clothing, cameras, random knickknacks, handmade art, and tattoo stations. Yes, you can sit in a chair and get a tattoo at this flea market. People are getting tattoos here. I bought an adorable handmade little cat made out of pipe cleaners for $12.99 from someone who will make customized pieces. From another vendor on the other side, I bought a handmade clay ring of a black cat face for $25.00. She makes the cutest little clay art. So small. Pieces smaller than half an inch tall. Too CUTE! Needless to say, she had the largest crowd congregating around her table and buying up her display. The customer ahead of me in line got the free tote bag with purchase because she spent so much. I got a free magnet with my purchase. Parking: Metered and free two hour street parking.
