I was in the area, and I love Russian food, so I thought I'd check this place out. I ordered the Boo's Love meal, and $18 seemed a little steep, but I was really hungry. Thankfully I pulled over in the lot to eat, so I didn't get far before I noticed my meal had come with fries instead of the salads. The salads were half the reason I wanted to eat there. I walked up to the window to ask why I had gotten fries, and the woman told me they were out of the salads. That's definitely something she should've mentioned when I ordered, but she didn't. I pointed that out to her and explained I wouldn't have wanted it if I had known. She offered to let me return my meal, but I suggested she refund half and let me keep it, which she agreed to. The piroshki was a good size and well seasoned with plenty of filling. The fries looked seasoned but didn't taste like it. They needed salt and/or some kind of sauce. I didn't order any sauces because I didn't know I was getting fries, but they should've come with something complimentary IMO. They were extremely slow for a Friday afternoon on a very busy road. The prices on their website are considerably less than at the shop ($18 vs $15.50 for my meal), and there wasn't a current menu pic on Yelp (which I've since added). I would've skipped it altogether if I had known what they were charging. I imagine that's part of the reason they're so slow. Minus two stars for not explaining they were out of half my meal before preparing it, plus one for offering a fair solution, minus one for sub-par fries and nothing to eat them with. I used to drive the I-5 as a trucker and would stop at the TA along the way JUST FOR THIS SPOT!. Their Piroshkis are soooooo good and their fries and pastries are to die for. Marry me please. I was in Newberg on some business, and I drove by From Russia With Love. It looks like a coffee stand, maybe a little larger. I had heard some vegan friends mention it, so decided to give it a try. I got Kalli's fave, a golden pastry filled with seasoned potatoes. A side of the cabbage and cucumber salad, which complimented the savory pastry! The potato pastry was piping hot, and I pulled over in a parking spot to enjoy while it was fresh and hot! I got the vegan option and the person that took my order knew exactly what I should order that was vegan. I also got a coffee with a dairy alternative.There weren't a lot of vegan options, but I would order Kalli's fav again in a heartbeat! read more

I love this place so much! I praise them on their food and their drinks... with the exception of today. I usually order a Fat Russian Peroshki and a large iced White Chocolate Mocha with whipped cream. My Fat Russian was off, it didn't even have cheese and was very dry. My White Chocolate Mocha did not even really have Mocha and the whipped cream was nothing but foam. I had to throw away my drink. I am not putting this place down, I really love them. Food is always good, one time my dough wasn't cooked through but I Cooked it through at home. My biggest complaint is I can never find the description of the food items anywhere online, what's a "Mary's" without having a description? When I do go to the drive thru the prices aren't readable and the menu items are crossed out with tape. For a place that does so well in Newberg, the owners should really spend the extra money to update their menu in the drive thru and online. Hmmmm, from all the five star reviews, I obviously ordered the wrong thing. After driving by this little red caboose-like structure for years (it always reminded me of a train), we finally stopped to see what it was all about. Love that it's drive up and wait time is minimal. The menu is a tad difficult to understand. The photo menu has some delicious looking pirozhki but there is no description of what is inside. It's also pretty funny there's a "To Go Orders" on the menu since it's all To Go, right? OK, there is a picnic table and a small cement bench on the property. I was there for the dumplings, or the pelmeni. Considered the national dish of Russia - Siberian to be exact - they are typically made with a thin, pasta-like dough filled with minced meat and shaped like a tortellini. Pelmeni to Russians is what tortellini is to Italians. As it turns out, pelmeni take about an hour and a half to actually make fresh and the woman at the window said all she had left was frozen pelmeni, specifically the mashed potato, no meat that day for some reason. Well, frozen pelmeni was better than no pelmeni, so we decided to share an order ($10) since it looked like you got about 15 of them. Another thing to note is that pelmeni are typically served alone, slathered in butter and topped with sour cream, or in a soup broth. Our order was accompanied by a tomato cucumber salad and shredded cabbage on the side, along with a two ounce container of sour cream. Definitely needed more sour cream! From Russia with Love is heavy on espresso and other coffee drinks if that's your thing. Lattes, cappuccinos, mochas, Americanos, as well as various frozen and blended concoctions. Prices are pretty competitive with the other coffee places in the area. From Russia with Love is worth a try, I promise to go back and try the pirozhki. read more

I drive past this place multiple times a week and have never given it a shot. I was really surprised when I learned they were actually more than just a coffee spot. The blended coffee I got was one of the best I have ever had and the fried pastries (I got a Mary's and a fruit Gracie) were really good. The potato Pelmeni was okay, according to the rest of my family, but nothing special. The salads, especially the cabbage one, was a hit with everyone and made us want more. The main issue this place suffers from is value. 18$ for a pastry and 2 bites of a cabbage salad and 3 bites of a cucumber tomato salad (If you can see Angela's review below this one, the amount of salad they gave was about 1/3 the size of each in the picture below). At 12$ a person this would be a wonderful meal and I would 100% be going back, but at 18$ a person I walked away feeling robbed. If I ever come back, It will mostly just be for a coffee. read more

First, you come here for the coffee. It's the best most non-bitter coffee around. Hell, I drive up and over a hill and back just to get my caffeine fix from here. I love this place! It's a Russian spot serving coffee and piroshkis, both savory and sweet. I've been a couple of times and will keep going back for the food. You can't go wrong with fried dough filled with meats and cheeses and veggies! They have several different ones to choose from ranging from breakfast options with eggs, potatoes, and bacon, sausage, and ham to dinner options with chicken, bacon, and cream sauce. There is something for everyone. The ladies that are working here are so sweet and helpful. I've had one with steak, provolone and peppers and onions and let me tell you... it's so rich and delicious and so big! Half of one is plenty, but you'll want to eat the whole thing! They have sweet piroshkis filled with lemon and cream, or raspberry and cream and a couple of other options. Think large lemon and cream filled donut! I've driven by countless times and finally stopped to try. The beef pelmeni were great, on par with those from a Russian deli I frequent; they made a good road snack. The piroshki without meat tasted like a mashed potato sandwich, it was good, but I'd opt for bacon or sausage next time. I finally decided to give this place a try. Hadn't been here before but drive by it a lot and read the reviews so I was excited to give it a try. Food was good but a bit pricey for a drive thru joint. I got the potato with cheese. Many reviews mention how nice the lady is that works there but I must have come on a day when she was having a bad day because she wasn't friendly at all nor helpful. I pulled up and had never been there but she didn't ask or care to see if I had any questions. Just straight to "what can I get you"...no smile, no eye contact even. It actually seemed like I was bothering or interrupting her. I was struggling to remember the name of the potato one and couldn't see the board and she just sat staring at me why I tried to describe it...I said the potato and cheese one, can't remember the name...and she just stared. So I leaned far out of my car and read the name of the one and she then asked me if I needed anything else. My friends told me that they even offer their pups doggie biscuits and I had two pups in the car, one in the front seat, one in the back, both looking at her longingly and she didn't offer a cookie. Again, she just seemed annoyed. After she took my order, she disappeared out of sight until she handed me my order. I was going to order a lavender lemonade that I hadn't noticed when I first pulled up but since she never came back except when my order was ready I just went somewhere else for a drink. Anyway, I may try one more time...but maybe not. The food was good but a bit too expensive for a drivethru and, frankly, bad attitude. Someone told me they had half sizes for less money (or used to...which I would have preferred since the regular ones are too big for me) but she didn't mention it and there wasn't two sizes available on the menu. This place is cool. Based on Yelp reviews and pictures, we stopped by for breakfast. It was a little misty outside, so it was nice only having the option for drive-thru service. We didn't have to get wet. After some small talk and based on advice from the employee, we ordered the Fat Russian. The house we rented was only minutes away, so the plan was just to take it to go. The nice staff member told us it would take roughly around 10 minutes. So, we waited. Almost to the dot, the food was ready and we went home. When I opened the bag and the wrapper, there should have been accompanying music to go along with this masterpiece. Maybe some drums. Anyway, when I saw this monstrosity of a sandwich/pie/whatever it's called, my expectation level immediately shot up. This thing had serious potential. I got a knife, cut this bad boy into several pieces and took the first bite. Again, wish there was music to go along with this. The food was awesome. Seriously. Is it healthy? No. Is it greasy? Yes. This is a fun place to have nearby! I don't know of many other Russian food spots around here. Tried for the first time today and we both really liked it. Went to the walk-up side and then sat at a nearby table in the grass. We started with beverages, my husband ordered a mango smoothie and I got an almond milk mocha. Both were great and I love all the smoothie and coffee options! I would come back even just for that. On to the savory Piroshkys - I got the Boo's Love with ground beef, onions, mushrooms, peppers and basmati rice. I really enjoyed this. The regular size is HUGE so I will be ordering a mini next time! Husband got the Mary's, with chicken bacon and cheese and he liked that one too! It was really gooey and cheesy and good. It's the little things that make or break a restaurant. Went twice. Ordered the special sauce to go with the pirogue. Paid extra for them. They never made it into the bag.
