Anyway, we arrived around an hour before close, most places in this area close at 9pm btw. We were greeted by the host who walked in from near the kitchen area. We decided to sit outdoors since the weather was pleasant. We found a table for two near the projector showing a muted black and white film on the brick wall. The chairs had blankets over them just in case it gets chilly at night. It was very thoughtful. I decided to order their special 3 course meal including a white wine ($45!). It was like they had their own restaurant week specials like SF but I don't believe that exists in Marin. The 3 course meal included a beet salad, pasta (it was the screw shaped kind) with Bolognese and a tiramisu which was my fav of all 3. The white wine was a bit on the sweet side. My husband had the pappardelle pasta with oxtail. That was a treat! I liked his dish more than mine but all of it was so much we had to take half home! The complimentary focaccia really pushed us over the edge. I would definitely come back to try their pizzas!

The Corte Madera Farmers Market is much smaller and more intimate than the Sunday Farmers Market at the Marin Civic Center. This isn't by any means a bad thing. Bigger isn't always better (or so I've been telling girlfriends for years). Here's the way I look at it - instead of a full kitchen, you're getting a kitchenette. Instead of a full length feature, you're getting a really good short film. It's like the Mini Me of Farmer's Markets. And you know what - that's a-ok by me. Smaller crowds. Prettier environment. Plus, when I'm done shopping, I can poke my head into others stores at the Town Center (Safeway, CVS, Crate and Barrel, etc.). You'll find many of your go-to produce and meat/poultry vendors here. Plus, they have my favorite Indian/Nepalese food vendor here (gotta get me some momos, samosas and dipping sauce). And unlike many of its counterparts, this Farmers Market is open from noon to 5pm (which is much better for my schedule). It's definitely worth checking out. Happy shopping, my peeps! : )

The flavors were authentic and flavorful without being overly Americanized. The pork curry was absolutely delicious and is definitely a must-order. I also got the tea leaf salad and immediately wished I had ordered the large because you can never have enough tea leaf salad. The palata was a great starter -- flaky, warm, and exactly what you'd want. The miso black cod was another standout. The broth it was simmered in was incredibly flavorful, and the fish was perfectly cooked. The garlic noodles were also done really well with the right noodles and great flavor -- honestly better than some places known specifically for garlic noodles. And of course, the coconut rice is always worth ordering. We skipped dessert since nothing really stood out, but I would love to see them add more traditional Burmese desserts like faluda in the future. Parking wasn't too difficult, especially if you circle around the back neighborhood area.
