They are tucked inside the Santa Venetia market and are a separate business. You have to pay for whatever you ordered at the counter and not the front cashier. Besides their sandwiches they also offer homemade sides, various raw meats, sausages, frozen ravioli and they bbq ribs and chicken outside the market every Friday. The guys behind the counter are always fast and friendly. Be prepared for a long line during the lunch hour. It's worth the wait.

We have also enjoyed their sandwiches (beware around 12noon there is a line from folks working at the Marin Civic Center). Our favorite is their Reuben sandwich - with pastrami, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, and Thousand island dressing then heated in a Panini press. And most every Friday Dante and team are out front smoking and barbecuing. Folks in the community know to come by for Chicken, Ribs, and Tri-tip. The quality is always on point (you get what you pay for) and the process is easy to preorder. The main thing to plan for is the long wait in line to pick up your preorder. In prior years, I've usually picked up on Christmas Eve and the wait can exceed 90 mins to 2 hours depending on when you arrive - this is the case even when you doorbust at opening time. This year, we picked up on the 23rd and arrived around opening time, and it only took 30 minutes. There are also very high quality pantry goods to peruse and purchase, including pasta, mustards, spices, tinned goods, etc. Onto the meat: I preordered late this year so got 21 day aged prime rib roast (would usually aim for 45+ days), but honestly it was hard to tell the difference. I ordered the roast pre seasoned, cradled and tied for ease and it was very high quality, easy to cook and delicious. Shoutout to the very friendly and hardworking staff at Olivier's - I see yall fighting for your lives trying to control that line every year (lol). Thank you for your service!

I went with the Reuben: pastrami, Swiss, sauerkraut, 1000 Island on rye. It arrived warm, which I appreciated, but a warm sandwich with sauerkraut wrapped up for delivery is a rough combo. By the time it got to me the rye had gone a little soggy. A bit of a shame, but not a dealbreaker. Because the flavor itself was on point. The pastrami, Swiss, and sauerkraut balanced out well, nothing overpowered anything else, and it wasn't oversalted like a lot of Reubens end up being. The rye had a nice distinct character to it too. Next time I'll probably just walk in and order instead of doing delivery. I'm curious about their other sandwiches, though something cold would probably survive the DoorDash trip a lot better than this one did.

I called to let Mario's know it had been delivered to the wrong location and the girl on the phone tried to tell me to call back at 4:00 then she said it's not delivered by them, she said quote "its by other people". I told her my employers were waiting on their lunch. She put her manager on the phone and I was told there was no delivery available at that time. Our only option was to go pick it up ourselves and take it to my employers home. My office manager had to take time out of her busy day to go pick it up. This is so frustrating. We weren't even given an applogy! We also still do not know what delivery service was used so we cannot even put in a complaint to them! Very dissappointing.

My partner and I specifically come here specifically for their Picanha steaks which are extremely high quality and affordable. They're great to cook using the reverse sear method or grill like they do at Brazilian steak houses. They taste fantastic with chimichurri or even just with flaky salt because of how buttery the steaks are on their own. The last time we were here, we got 10 steaks for around $150 and we seriously thought we'd be spending way more. Of course the cost will depend on what you, like the prime rib here is very expensive, but weigh out your options! I do think everything else here seems to be a great price for the quality compared to mass grocers. I'd highly recommend anyone to check out this shop!

I tried to attach a video of the jiggle that I try to achieve in my stock. Jiggle!
