Chicken Scallopini
Emily C.

Semi casual American dining in the Ross Bridge neighborhood. I came here for dinner and ordered the Chicken Scallopini, which had a great serving of chicken. The buttery garlic sauce was very tasty and the breaded chicken was delicious. I wasn't a fan of the green beans, but everything else was very good! My boyfriend ordered the pork ribeye, which we both really enjoyed. Both of our dishes were well-rounded and a decent serving. The atmosphere here is pretty standard, nothing noteworthy. It's very "elevated" sport-bar esc.

When I think of the words "Front Porch," I'm reminding of a relaxing time spending time with family and watching the world go by. Front Porch is a perfect name for this restaurant. It is in the Walkable Ross Bridge neighbor that feels like an old fashioned community. They have a nice outside area where you can sit with friends and family and relax. The inside is also cozy with nice sized booths where people can talk and connect. The service was good. Not to pushy but there when you need them. I ordered a build your own pizza. The homemade marina sauce made it.

Bacon bombs and cheese curds

We were in Ross Bridge for the farmers market and decided to try Front Porch while we were there. We were seated immediately and met by our server at our table of choice on the patio. We chose to start with the bacon bombs and cheese curds. This was an excellent choice!! Bacon wrapped kielbasa in a candied BBQ style sauce! Sign me up for seconds! The cheese curds were great as well! Deep fried and melted to perfection!! Even better when you dip them in the bacon bomb sauce. My wife got the chicken finger platter and I grabbed the chicken lettuce wraps. Chicken fingers were hand breaded and fried crisp. She asked for extra bacon bomb sauce to dip them in. Sweet potato fries were crispy with a honey sauce. Chicken lettuce wraps had an excellent taste but were a little dry. Made from breast meat, just seemed a little over cooked. Service was excellent, patio was nice and airy with a view of the street and area. Restaurant was clean and quiet. Would stop by again when we are in the area!

Front Porch Burger and sweet potato fries with caramel dip

We were a little ambitious Friday night and decided to skip our regular(s) to try out Front Porch. Unfortunately, it did not live up to expectations for us. We were sat immediately and our server was ok. However, the seating is super tight and we did not feel comfortable in the slightest. The food: We ordered the bacon bombs with cheese curds and fried pickles. They were actually really good (we RARELY consume pork) and we were optimistic -- get back to the appetizers later. Then came the entrees. Fiancé ordered the Chicken Scallopini and I had the Front Porch Burger with sweet potato fries. This is where everything went south. Fiancés panko chicken was hardly seasoned, although tender and cooked near to perfection. My burger was...decent. Not a fan of cheddar cheese on burgers but the burger itself lacked flavor, especially with it having their speciality sauce on it. The sweet potato fries had zero flavor. It comes with a side of caramel sauce to dip the fries in? But I'd rather have the semi-sweet and savory taste than intensely sweet. The fries had no flavor at all. I will say however, the burger did taste better the next day so maybe the flavor had to set in (I did have to add chick-fil-a sauce to it). The bigger issue was that, the curds and bacon bombs gave us both indigestion and they were the two best things we had. Overall, we were disappointed. Can't say that we'll be back.

Took my lady out for a pre-Valentine meal at the Front Porch. We received excellent service from a gentleman that said his name was Brown; but his mother calls him Adam. He'll probably answer to either if you go. First off, if you're a wine drinker you need to get there on weekdays during happy hour. HALF prince bottles of wine. We started with the A to Z Red Blend paired with chips & queso with the chorizo sausage upgrade. So delicious. They seemed homemade/fried on premise. If not, we'll need to know the supplier because they were out of this world. Super crispy but not super dense and heavy which allowed the cheese and chorizo to be the stars. Being Thursday, she tried the server suggested Triggerfish special with added blackened shrimp. Came with rice and asparagus. Out of this world with leftovers for the next day's lunch. I enjoyed the shrimp and grits. This deserves a repeat to see what is suggested the next time!

Came here with a group dinner time. Service was great. Our food and drink orders came out pretty fast. I was disappointed with my French dip. It didn't have much meat on it and was very fatty. I got onion rings as my side and they were really good. Even had a little bit of heat. I would get those again for sure! A few people in my group got pizza and it looked really good. They all seemed to like it. I'll be back-just won't order the French dip again.

This is a nice place especially for lunch with some business people to meet with. The food was good and the service was good. I think what I ordered wasn't my favorite food but I bet I should have just ordered something different. My burger wasn't bad at all it just wasn't delicious. The server we had was not bad but was not a great amazing vibe either. All was good but not a 5 star that day.

Amazingly attentive service during this end of 2024 visit. Hubs tried the BURGER and FRIES - still quite good! I opted for the MEATLOAF PLATE W GREEN BEANS AND MASHED POTATOES - it was so comforting and satisfying! Highly recommend!

My family had an interesting first experience at Front Porch earlier this evening. It was our first time trying this place out and upon entrance, we were greeted by a young woman and man at the front, and this is where our interesting encounter began. I asked for a table of 4, and the young woman replied back by asking if everyone for our party of 6 was here now, to which I was confused. The man also asked if the rest of our party was here and that there was already someone waiting at the table. I told them that we weren't waiting on anyone else and repeated again that we wanted a table for 4. It was then that it seemed to click for the two, and we were seated. My family then realized what that confusing encounter was about -- the hostess sat us at the table directly next to an Asian gentleman, with 5 other empty chairs at his table. When the hostess saw my family walk in, she automatically assumed that because we were also Asian, that we were associated with the other party, even though I clearly asked for a table for 4. A perfect example of implicit bias present in current times. Unfortunate and quite frankly somewhat offensive. Why did they automatically connect my family to the other Asian group and assume we were all together? I understand there may not be as much diversity in this area as in other parts of the country, but honestly this is no excuse. On the other hand, our waitress was very friendly and attentive. However, at the end after we paid our bill, when she brought back our check, we noticed that she had not included our credit card. We flagged another waitress down and she said she'd tell our waitress. We waited for about 5 minutes before our waitress came back with our card and told us that the card had slipped onto the floor. Not the biggest deal, but also what if someone had swiped it? Food was pretty mediocre. We ordered the Korean bbq chicken wings, front porch burger, mahi fish tacos, and the French dip (prime rib, Swiss cheese, horseradish cream). The Korean barbecue sauce did not taste remotely of actual Korean barbecue so it was pretty disappointing. Wings were crispy and hot. French dip was pretty good as a sandwich, front porch burger was your average burger, mahi fish tacos lacked flavor. Overall, given our personal experiences with what happened and the quality of the food, we're not exactly inclined to go back. Waitresses were all friendly and welcoming though, and the place has a casual and laidback atmosphere

Just the crust remains of spouse's pizza.

Excellent! I had shrimp & grits - best I've had this side of New Orleans. Spouse had "build your own" pizza with shrimp, sausage & tomatoes & onions. Both dishes were excellent. Restaurant itself is roomy, clean, and very pleasant. Atmosphere is family friendly with kids menu, while also offering a wine list. Both restrooms were spotless and inviting. We were seated immediately on entry, mid afternoon during the week. Servers did a superb job checking on us without being intrusive. Ask to be seated in Brown's section.

It's a nice place to go visit. The overall mood is welcoming, area is very clean, and the service is fast and friendly. Food, however, leaves to be desired. The fried pickles were pretty good, but the salmon was honestly a little small and really dry. Idk how I feel about rice on beans with salmon either. Good place to hang out and have a beer. Just maybe not if you want a really good meal.

Great food, great service, great atmosphere. The pizza is outstanding, as are the burgers. The chicken fingers were quite good as well!

She provided excellent service, and the drinks were reasonably priced. We came back after our appointment with a bigger group, and the service was still good. Our group of 6 had a variety of orders, but it was mainly appetizer-type foods. The wings were really good and very flavorful. I did not really enjoy the steak nachos. They had way too much sour cream on them, which took away from the overall flavor of the nachos. While the steak on it was very flavorful and the portion was a nice size, I would have liked to see the fillings on top more evenly distributed so they wouldn't take away from the flavor. The drinks were still perfect, and our service was still good. I would definitely return but would likely not order the nachos. I would order the wings again, though.

You will run probably at least around 30 dollars for two at lunch. We obviously caught them at a busy time even though we were the only two there at the beginning as they were expecting a large party and they were prepping catering food, but our food still came out within a reasonable amount of time. I did notice one of the chef on his phone one minute and then touching cooked food that he's serving the next to package it for catering....without washing his hands. I can't help but find that a bit gross when I consider how very dirty a phone is since that's literally something you touch all day, all the time, regardless of what you're doing. I will leave it at that, ha.

The outdoor seating is spacious & it was nice to hear the live music coming from a neighboring business. My friends got the Goofy Foot drink & said that it was good but definitely on the stronger side w/the tequila. I opted for a glass of Riesling, it was delicious & paired perfectly with my meal. We didn't get any appetizers. The espresso martinis were also delicious. I wanted a cannoli for dessert but they were sold out, unfortunately.
