My husband and I were visiting WI and stopped in here before heading to the airport. Wow! The food was fantastic and authentic. We are from Texas so we're very familiar with authentic Mexican food. During our stay we ate at another Mexican restaurant that claimed to be authentic, but the food was terrible and the flour tortillas were obviously store bought. Not here! I had the barbacoa and my husband had the beef fajita burrito, both excellent. Everything looked and tasted fresh and scratch made. The beans and rice were some of the best I've had. Small place with amazing food. I love the array of sauces and salsas provided. I've had the carne asada street tacos that were fabulous and the chicken fajita quesadilla that was loaded with shredded chicken. It was juicy and had great flavor. The queso dip is good too. I gave this place 5 stars not because of its ambiance or quality of food, but rather what I witnessed today, when I had a late lunch. A poorly groomed man, with plastic bags in hand, walked in and asked for something to eat. The server sat him in a booth while the man waited. He was then given a plate of taco which he ate slowly. I called for the server and told him that I would pay for the man's food. The server tried to talk me out of it. Went to Fronteras last night (Friday) for a to go order and was very specific about no onions on my tacos that I wanted only cilantro. I even explained in Spanish regarding no onions. Of course I got my order and checked it before I left because this has happened before here and sure enough all 5 tacos were covered in onions. The order taker was nice enough to have the cooks remake my order and he did apologize. The issue now is I didn't get the right tacos I ordered originally. I was given chicken instead of Lengua which costs more. The carnitas taco to me was stuffed full of large pieces of fat out of spite I'm guessing. My wife ordered a Barbacoa taco and didn't get that either in her order. I don't like to be made to feel guilty when I was specific of what I wanted and the cook messed up not only once but then gave me the wrong meat that I ordered plus the fat taco instead of carnitas. The tacos we had were alright but this is becoming to frequently habitual when we visit this location. Please make your customers feel welcomed and pay attention to the orders. read more

The person working a few nights ago at the register would not stop saying things to my friends & I to make us supper uncomfortable. Comments about our appearance and creepy pick up lines. Non of us were enjoying it or even pretending to to be polite. He didn't stop either when we said it was enough and he could stop.
