I've enjoyed this place in the past however the cooks and server thought it'd be ok to serve me dog biscuits today. Upon complaint assuming I didn't understand Spanish, I was insulted repeatedly around the room. 0/10 evening. Food 0 - service 2 - Ambiance 0

Friday night at 6:15pm, no crowds, immediate seating. This place offers some interesting traditional dishes that you don't always get at other Mexican places. I started with a mangonada drink which is made with mango, lime, some other flavors and a stick of Tirolo straw (tamarind lollipops). If you like a drink mixed with sweet & sour, and chili spices, then this is the one that you don't want to miss. I always seek out for either a fried tilapia or menudo (beef tripe) soup when I try a new Mexican restaurant to test out their "authenticity". They had both on the menu and I chose the soup. The soup was loaded with tripe but not as spicy as I have tasted elsewhere, which actually was what I like. Adding cilantro, chopped onions and lime to the soup made this dish a perfect choice for a chilly night! The restaurant takes up three spots at the location. The restaurant is in the middle, to the left is a bar and to the right is a mini mart. Services were great and price was very reasonable. I am very please that there is another nice restaurant within the walking distance!

A la Carte, shrimp tostada, side of rice, shrimp taco.

Excellent tasting food, the best shrimp Taco and Tostada in the area. We will be back.

This is the best authentic Mexican food in the Fox Valley area by far! The drinks are amazing and service is out of this world! We got there at 8:55pm or closing, they served us so fast and they did not deny us. The food was superb.... Great people. I definitely recommend this place!

Perfect end to the week.. #TGIF

Lindo Michuacan is a festive and authentic Mexican restaurant with a lot of character. The menu has some delicious sounding items that are not the typical Mexan restaurant fare like Parrillada, ahogada, and a Cuban with a Sunny- side-up egg on it! We wussed out and got enchiladas, but they were still delicious. The staff was really nice and attentive and created a welcoming environment! The drinks were a bit pricey, but I recommend checking this place out. I will definitely be back

Best Mexican food in Appleton without a doubt! Many people have recommended this place to us because of how authentic it is and how great all their food is. The restaurant is split into a bar area with some tables and there is another room next to it with additional tables and booths. The entire space feels roomy with plenty of space between tables, which makes for a pleasant dining experience. We went for lunch and it wasn't very busy. Our waiter was with us only a few mins after we sat down and was very friendly. I ordered a strawberry margarita on the rocks. Be aware... they are strong but taste delicious! Our waiter brought us salsa and bean dip, which were both very good. My boyfriend ordered 3 street tacos- a carne asada, barbacoa, and chicken. He really enjoyed them and thought they were some of the best street tacos he's ever had. I ordered the vegetarian burrito. My burrito was huge and covered in a smoky red sauce. It was filled with rice, beans, mushroom, bell peppers, green beans, spinach, and tomatoes. I had over half of it left over because it was so big! We will definitely be back here!

My husband and I have loved this place for the last three years since we've moved to town, unfortunately the last several times we've come we have left disappointed. I'm not sure if there's a new chef in the kitchen but the meats have been dry and overcooked. Tonight my quesobirro tacos came out soggy with no meat in one of them. Unfortunately after 3 or more bad experiences we are not sure if we will be returning to our once favorite taco spot

However, if you're looking for a great brunch and a LOT of it, it doesn't get better in the Fox Valley. Holy geez! My wife had leftovers for dinner and the next day's breakfast! There is a hostess stand and an area to sit while you wait for a table (it was about a 10 minute wait for a table). Service: They delivered the food and refilled coffee and waters promptly. Food: They can't accommodate any custom requests. I asked for extra crispy bacon on my eggs benedict and they said they would see what they could do. It was really soggy and chewy so I couldn't eat it (texture issue). Do not order the eggs benedict, three of us at the table ordered different variations of this dish and were all disappointed (zero texture, extra soggy, no flavor, too much hollandaise sauce). Do not order the eggs benedict on the potato pancakes if you are hungry, the potato pancakes were as thin as a dime and the size of my hand. I left hungry and went home to eat. The one person who didn't order the eggs benedict loved their food. The rest of the food that was coming out looked great, I think we just ordered the wrong dishes. We'll give this place a try again in the future to try something else off the menu.

These burgers have so much potential for Mateo's to increase their customer base if they would simply offer a vegetarian patty.

As an avid Yelper, I looked it up and wasn't too impressed with the photos, but I decided to trust a local's choice. We took the 10-minute walk from our Airbnb, and when we arrived, I was shocked to see how big the restaurant was. It was bustling on a Saturday morning, but we were seated quickly. Immediately, I noticed a warm and friendly family-focused atmosphere. Our waitress was kind and quick. She brought us the menus, got our drink order, and gave us time to look through everything. Since this was our first time in Wisconsin, we got an order of cheese curds and a breakfast skillet each. We easily could've shared one breakfast skillet, but they were both so delicious, and I'm glad we got our own. The cheese curds were phenomenal, even though we ordered them as an appetizer. They came out at the same time our meals did. I enjoyed our time at Black Bear and I'm even considering going back again as I write this review. A great spot for newbies in town and definitely worth checking out.

I came here with my darling children while home visiting my folks. We were seated rapidly and served rapidly too. I had something called the Tot Scrambler and it was basically an homage to poutine: tots, onions, bacon, scrambled egg, gravy. Yes, it's every bit as awesome as it sounds. My daughter had an egg-n-cheese croissant and sweet potato fries and the fries were excellent. My son had an enormous meal with French toast which he caused to disappear with remarkable speed. As is my custom, I give this place 5 stars because it is a perfect avatar of its genre. Being here is like the emotional equivalent of falling into a vat of macaroni and cheese. (Which, if they have it here, is surely perfect.) Parking was fine and handicap access was fine too. If I still lived here in Appleton I would come here every month for sure.
