    Cabin. No 1st class.

Before I get to my review, there are three things you need to know about flying on Frontier, if you're a first-timer like me: 1. You pay for carry-on luggage. 2. They close the door ten minutes before the flight leaves. 3. All snacks and beverages are for purchase only on board and they only take credit/debit cards. The best way I can describe this low-budget airline is that everything is a la carte. Travel is bare bones - you are just paying to put your body in a seat. Every other service or product that follows is at your discretion. For example, you can either pay to choose your seat or wait until you arrive at the airport. On board, non-bottled water is the only free beverage (Side Note: It was interesting to see that only two people bought snacks/beverages on my whole flight). On the flight I took, there was no first class. Everyone was in the same-sized seat. Perhaps, they can get more seats in the plane? They also have really tiny tray tables that are not even the length/width of a computer tablet. I just might prefer these tray tables that are not bulky. I should add the crew was courteous. No complaints in that department. Frontier is worth a try! As long as you know what to expect ahead of time, you won't be surprised by the a la carte costs. I am grateful Frontier invested in the town where I live and plan to retire (Memphis), after Delta de-hubbed the airport. We really need to return the investment so flights can stop being so difficult and expensive to book.

The good is the agents and the folks who take care of personal medical equipment (wheelchairs,…read morescooters). The BAD...their new seating policy! What a mess and really a "rip-off". We were 40 mins late leaving SA due to boarding issues(oversized baggage that passengers were determined to fit in overhead compartments and helping a paralyzed individual, which due to the new seating policy the crew finally figured out that if she was in the aisle seat and could not get up to let the window and middle passengers in they needed to get those passengers on board‍). Why don't they have a section in their SOP for issues as such and why don't they have a box at the ticket area and/or gate area to make passengers use it to make sure the carry on luggage will fit???? So simple of a concept. Now we are leaving Memphis and again late due to carry-on luggage. Running 15+ mins late now.

You are supposed to be able to choose a seat when you check in 24 hrs before your flight. I clicked that button the exactly 24 hrs ahead of time and our seats were already chosen for us. parents and kids all split up. supposedly you could go on and change your seats but none were available had to pay to get our daughter a seat in the same row opposite side of the acft. :( Alegiant is looking better and better.

The airport itself was pretty neat and clean. Had no issues navigating when I deplaned. However,…read morethe trek to my rental had me singing an oldie but goodie. "I would walk 500 hundred miles and I would walk 500 hundred more." Wow, I think it was almost half a mile to get there. Friendly CSR's made up for it though. Just walk across and take the elevator up then walk down the stairs and across then down thru the tunnel then take the fork in the road. Then once you finish with the paperwork, go up the escalator towards the mountains to get to your actual rental.

This week was my first visit to the Memphis International Airport…read more Memphis is a small airport compared to ATL and other international airports that I have been inside. I have to admit that I was plenty surprised by how nice and updated it is. There are numerous places to relax, recharge and to work. All of the seating has a place to charge your electronics. There are a few cute shops inside and please tell me why the staff is so darn friendly. I honestly believe that the staff set the tone for the environment and Memphis is killing it. I stopped at one shop and a young man named Dandy was working the register. Dandy was personable, outgoing, answering all of my questions and made excellent suggestions. Honestly, because if Dandy I walked away with several Memphis Wild Huckleberry items to try.
