There are 6 schools in Townview 1.Talented and Gifted (TAG) the smartest 2.school of engineering (SEM) 3. School of law (JBS Law magnet) 4. High school of health professions (HSHP) my school 5. School of business management (SBM 6. Education and social services (ESSM) Is this school hard?? Yes it is, and depending on which school you go into it may be even harder. For example TAG is harder overall than HSHP. They get more work and have high standards over all. Though some schools may have higher standards all the school are great and each holds their students to what they believe to be a reasonable academic goal. Is it hard to get in?? Yes and no, it has gotten easier which is a complaint I have. The class size has gone up so it is "easier" to get in. But it is in no way easy to get in. You still have to prepare and deliver on all the entry requirements and if even then nothing is guaranteed. Personally I love this school it prepares me perfectly for the future I want and sets me on the math to make my dreams into reality. All the teachers are great at their job so if you aren't doing good in a class that's on you because I know the teachers do all they can to help you succeed. From tutoring times to giving out their emails so you can ask questions at any times. If you come to Townview and are willing to put in the work then the teachers will be sure to help you get where you want to go and end up with that dipping your hand. I was gleeful... my HS daughter, was another story, her response, "Caf food is awful!" "Awful" seemed a bit extreme, but this is young person who typically has a lunch bag packed with hummus, tabbouleh and feta cheese chunks with naan bread and fresh fruit salad. But, with an entire year of FREE LUNCHES on the table, I had to check it out for myself. The meal was not bad for the $3 'civilian' rate I paid! Jumbo Fish Stick on wheat bun, beans, lime rice, mac n cheese all rather flavorful; but the canned fruit... not so much. The fish was actually FISH, not like the 'fish product' of yore! It flaked like fish, had a lightly crunchy crust and wasn't greasy at all. It possibly was baked! I fixed it up with Sriracha sauce and Ranch dressing. They get major creds for the service bar (fresh orange infused iced water) with a nice assortment of condiments! Not just salt/pepper, ketchup/mustard; there were bottles of lime juice, Sriracha sauce, BBQ sauce, Cajun, Ranch & Balsamic dressings and more! I certainly didn't have it this good at my HS cafeteria! The 'Kiddling'? She will be enjoying the culinary benefits of my school tax dollars this year! What we save will go towards Restaurant Week 2015, YAH! ABOUT THE TOWNVIEW CAMPUS... This campus is one of the best kept secrets in the often maligned DallasISD system. This is a huge school on a massive property. We came here for a touch football game, there were no…read moresigns telling you where to go or park. The stadium is clean, well organized and has seats and bleachers so no hurt back at the end of the game. The restrooms were clean. The staff was friendly, the concession stand open and operating with reasonably priced items. Make it obvious where to go so people are not roaming the parking lots looking for you.

The interior is mostly white with high ceilings and and pretty tile floors. The accents are very ornate but not over-the-top gaudy. The pews are dark-colored wood and they are long and roomy. I love the cushioned kneelers because the elderly and those of us who played too much sports can kneel without pain! The acoustic problem can be corrected with adding carpet down the aisles to absorb some of the sound. St. Rita's had the same issue but I think they finally figured it out. I'll check in there once Sunday and see and I'll let you know. THe majority of the Masses cater to the Hispanic population but that doesn't matter because it's all the same to me! If you haven't visited this beautiful parish I suggest you do. There are a lot of nice restaurants in the area as well so make a day of it and enjoy! I will post pictures next week.

My complaint is that when conversing with the student advisor I was told what classes were needed to receive the degree and I completed them. However, when the actual degree was submitted they told me that no matter what arts degree you strive for you will be awarded the AA first which cancels out the specific degree AA Business. Of course I took more classes than was necessary and costing a great deal more. Be careful attending TCCD you could end up spending a great deal more money and not receive what worked for.

I had a problem with the voucher I bought from Certiport and the employee called them and straightened it out for me. The second time I took the test I bought the voucher directly from the college and it was easier and cheaper to do that. Gave 4 stars because they don't offer tests for Office 365 programs.
