    View from the sauna bed

Went here for my birthday on a last minute appointment. I called for any openings that day and they easily fit me into their schedule for a Fire and Float beginner pack that was just $78! They have a parking lot that has reserved spaces just for their business. The inside is really nice, each station has their own private rooms with towels, robes and other necessities you may need. The hot sauna wasn't as hot as i expected as it may have been on a lower heat because i was a first timer for any type of sauna but I definitely sweated. The bed is open around the head so you can stay cool while your body gets to work. The float bed was amazing. It was relaxing and music is able to be played or turned off from within the floating pod as well as a light. It may get hot in their so if you open the pods door to your liking it will let in cool air.

I won a free float therapy from an Instagram contest. When I first walked into the Spa I was very impressed. The place was immaculate. I love the beautiful couches and decor. The business owner was very friendly and helpful with floating tips. When I first saw the pod I was shocked. It looks like something out of this planet. I was very excited to try it out. I went into the pod and turned off the lights and music for complete me time. I felt total relaxation and fell asleep. The water was a perfect temperature for my body. I used ear plugs, they provided by them, to block the water from entering in my ears. They had hair ties too, so I could tie my hair back. I was suffering from some upper back pain from work but after the float it relieved my pain. I liked that there was q-tips to clean the ears for after the float just in case water got into my ears. The room is stocked with many clean towels and a bath robe. The shower is right next to the pod so I could wash off the rest of the salt. They thought of everything because the door next to the room I was in, was a hair dryer room with a big mirror and had some lotion in there too. I will come back again soon to try out the other interesting services they offer. I work with people and I'm going to recommend this spa to everyone. I had posted some snaps and had so many friends asking me about my experience at Frost and Float Spa. If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would!

Ask the Community - Frost and Float Spa

Is the water filtered between uses?

Very fishy that there's no answers. As a business owner, you would think such important hygienic measures would be disclosed in the description on the website.

I've done the float tank, the RASHA machine (my favorite), the sauna, and the oxygen steam, and each experience has been great. I felt like i was suffocating. the infrared sauna is nice though there's an odor there too. The towels they give are freyed and thin- little things like nice towels give a more restorative feel. they aren't expensive. The heat in the sauna was good and half an hour got a good sweat. The flotation tank was too hot., It's supposed to be a sensory deprivation tank which means that the water temp is supposed to be the temperature of the body. It was the temp of a hot bath. It smelled. I've been in many flotation tanks and tanks with magnesium salts before. The smell began to be suffocating. I got myself out.- i had been in for an hour but the tming device said i had 30 minutes left. That's the least of it though. There are things this place could do to spiff up and become more of a wellness place where people know what they're doing.

While I was already in an Uber on the way to my early morning appointment, the spa called my partner to say their water system had burst and the flotation service could not be done, which meant my appointment would be pushed back by an hour and 15 minutes. Since I wasn't going to wait that long, I turned around and went home. A few minutes later they called again saying they could take me only 15 minutes after my original time, which was confusing considering the earlier issue, and unfortunately it no longer worked with my schedule. I ended up keeping the massage and facial appointment later that day. When I arrived, I had to wait behind another client whose check-out went well into my appointment time. On top of that, I was told my service wasn't scheduled as a prenatal massage, so they needed additional time to change the room. My partner specifically booked a prenatal package over the phone, so this was another unexpected delay. Once I was in the room, my therapist Erica was very kind and welcoming. She explained how the prenatal massage would work, starting face up and then moving to my side later. The massage itself was fine, but the facial was disappointing. It was essentially just a face wash and warm towel. I've had quick 30-minute facials before and they typically include at least some pore extractions or a face mask but that was not the case here. During the massage, I was told I would eventually move to my side due to the prenatal positioning, but that never happened, likely because we ran out of time due to the earlier delays. It would have been helpful if that had been explained. At the end, I was offered water in a cup (tap water I assume) rather than a bottle, which felt a bit unusual for a spa experience. I also had to ask for tea, while it had been automatically offered to my sister who finished her service earlier. Overall, the staff was polite and kind, but the experience felt disorganized from start to finish. For nearly $400 for two services plus tip, it unfortunately did not feel worth the cost.

The 60 minute float was the perfect amount of time for me. I did fall asleep at some point which was nice. I was super sleepy and relaxed for the rest of the day. The float tank also does a great job of relieving minor aches and pains because you can stretch with no weight on your joints. I wish that I had thought to turn the lights off in the room before I started, because there was a little bit of light seeping through the cracks of the float tank. You can have the option to turn the lights and spa music in the tank on or off. My skin was super soft afterwards because of the epsom salt, but you might want to plan to do this on a day when you don't have any plans afterwards, because my hair was kind of funky for a while afterwards.
