I flip houses and have used Frost waterproofing for many jobs around the buffalo area. Always give you a fair price and they do great work

Pjk Construction - The sealed part is the white barrier

    Pjk Construction

PJK Basement And Yard Drainage is actually who they are and what they do. The name, PJK…read more"Construction" does not fit what they do. Maybe at one point they did construction?? now they work on foundation repairs, sump pumps, yard drainage - that sort of thing. Steve was very professional and knowledgeable about the issue we had in our basement. We hired his company for repair of our foundation walls. We had three cracks that were letting water in and had to be sealed. The price was fair and the job addressed exactly what we needed. A crew for workers came out and completed the job in about five hours. Steve came out to supervise in the beginning and then he left. We had estimates from other companies and felt at this price and approach to fixing our problem was the best we could do. We are pleased with the work that PJK provided. I hope you don't need this kind of service at your house, but water problems do occur from time to time in the basement. Oh, and don't forget to run your dehumidifier!

Please note, I am not speaking about his plumbing services, but rather his yard drainage service. I have a wet area around a deck. Over the years, it has progressively gotten worse, to now standing water. Jon stated it was a result of my rear gutter draining into the backyard (gutters were replaced two years prior, but the area was wet prior to that). I paid $3,375 to have the downspout placed underground, to an already existing drainage system that Paul had installed a few years prior. And a drain by the deck. The very next day, it rained, and I still had the same pooling water. Their solution didn't work. They then informed me that I would need to pay an additional $1,925 for them to come back and "fix" the issue. After further discussion, they reduced the amount of additional pipe they claimed was needed and instead quoted $925. Regardless of the amount, I do not believe I should be responsible for additional labor costs when the initial work failed to correct the problem. At most, I should only be responsible for the cost of any additional materials. Additionally, when they placed the gutter downspout underground, they neglected to install any type of filter to prevent leaves & debris from going straight into the PVC drainage. As a result, I now have the added expense of installing a leaf filter over the gutter. Something I did not need prior to the downspout being placed underground. At this point, it's turning into a he-said, she-said, with Jon telling me I was the one who said the issue started when the gutters were replaced. Not true. That area had always been wet and was getting worse over time. I made it quite clear that the gutters being replaced was probably just a coincidence. He's the master plumber with a degree in civil engineering. He's the expert in this field, not me. Again, not the same professional service that Paul was known for.

Brad explained what they would do in detail, he did not try to push for more work than we needed like one other well advertised company did! The price was 25% lower too and they installed a tee so if needed in the future I could clean out the drain tiles because I have an iron problem called orcher bacteria. They even told me about a product called "orcher blocker " to help with the problem! The other guy saw the problem but wanted to replace all my drain tiles for tens of thousands of $$$ ! The repair guys put down plastic along the complete path through my hose , on the rugged stairs and across the basement to protect the brand new floor I am installing to the work site! They were efficient, quick , explained what and why they did it, they told me about the "orcher blocker" to help with the iron that has plugged my tiles , sump well and burned out plenty of pumps that I have agonized with for 35 years!! That I can't thank them enough for !!! So ABSOLUTELY recommend them and thank them all !!!!

It took a little while To get scheduled and then it took a few months to wait for the appointment. When the day of the appoint finally came, the workers were professional, reliable, and hard working. They put down floor covering to make sure they were not tracking in anything while going I and out of the basement. They were clear with what they needed from us and communicated when they were leaving for lunch, for the day, etc. none of our cracks leak at all! It's been about 2 months since they were here and we are really pleased.
