Great looking corner bar on the East end of Main St. I didn't think it was looking like a kid friendly place for lunch, but the bartender Kyle was extremely friendly and insisted we were good to go. The inside has dark colors, but brightened a bit by the sunlight coming through the outer wall windows. I liked the wooden barrel lights over the bar, barrel wall sconces by the booths and the small bikes made out of pipes with Edison bulbs in them that hang over the front tables. The interior had exposed brick on the outer wall, brown painted patterned ceiling tiles and a gorgeous long antique wooden bar. We sat in one of the cushioned booths in the back. Their menu is small and simple with about ten apps and six handhelds. They have some uncommon menu items that peaked our interest like Goat Birria Tacos, Sloppy Joe's and Mahi Sliders. My wife and son ordered the Sloppy Joe's at $8 that came with seasoned beef and their "House Sloppy Sauce". They both enjoyed them and said the seasoning was good and sauce had a bit of a sweetness. My youngest son had a plain chicken wrap $13 bacon, ranch, LT and Cheddar Jack. It was sizeable and fresh. We ended up splitting it up later for an app before dinner so its shareable if you have a smaller stomach. Kyle recommended their Smash Burger - Smashed Crispy Beef Patty, Cheese, LTO $13. It was average and there was nothing bad to say about it. I enjoyed a Mosier's Mosaic IPA by ShawneeCraft with it. They have a small house cocktail list and their tap list is small, but they do have some craft offerings and cans/bottles. The kids watched sports on a couple of the several TV's around the bar and we had a nice relaxing lunch. I'd stop in again if in the area. Thanks Kyle! read more

Visiting the area. Sign outside said $3 domestic beers every day so it was worth going in. There is also a local beer, IPA from the Shawnee Brewery, which is very good. The bartender was is good and allowed a taste and I bought a pint. There is a what could be called a bar menu available. The bar has specials available on certain days, check the website. Overall a classic type of bar, with a good atmosphere, it is clean, and friendly place to sit down and enjoy some beer, and a quick meal if you are hungry. Enjoy. read more

The pickle fries were amazing; really delicious. I am surprised more restaurants don't adopt pickle fries over chips. The coating was light and well seasoned. They were not oily. The chili was ok; not spicy at all for anyone worried about heat. The goat birria tacos were dry and would have benefited from some consommé which you usually find with birria. read more

I didn't eat hear so I don't know how the food taste like. My old fashion was closer to what I know it should be unlike another place I visited within a few blocks of here. No complaints here as long as I taste what I am paying for otherwise I can stay home and make it myself. I found this bar to grab something to eat while away for work. When I arrived I found parking in their small lot nearby. I walked in and sat at the bar. Not the most comfortable seats but it made due. Kenzie was my bartender and she was cool. I ordered the lemon drop martini and it was tasty. I then ordered the long island but it was too sweet so switched to red wine. For my meal, I got buffalo shrimp and that was very good. It had the right amount of spice. Yummy! The smash burger was great, and the waffle fries have a nice little bit of spice to them, which we loved. The goat in the birria tacos was on point, but I was seriously missing the consomme that normally comes with birria. Some cheese would also be good! But credit for actually having goat, which almost no one in the US does. read more

We ordered the wings with buffalo and blue cheese on the side as well as a smash burger with waffle fries. Food was spot on! Everything tasted fresh. I had a couple of local draft IPAs. I really like this place, I was here midday, so it wasn't very crowded but the service was good. I had the mahi sliders. They were delicious and frankly, the bartender was interesting as were the people I sat near. All around I had a really good experience and I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Really enjoyed The Goat on Main for our first visit! Parking was a breeze, with spots both behind the building and on Main Street, making our arrival hassle-free. The place has a fun and welcoming vibe, and the moment we walked in, we were greeted with smiles and our drink orders swiftly taken. We've got to make a return trip just to dive into their appetizers - the pickle fries and goat barria tacos are practically calling our names! The whole menu sounds like a foodie's dream come true. Our choices for the day were the Buffalo Chicken Wrap and the Beef Cheesesteak (though they had chicken as an option too). Let me tell you, these dishes were more than just delicious; they arrived steaming hot and oh-so-fresh, satisfying our taste buds beyond expectations. Oh, and here's a bonus: we found out they host local musicians on Friday and Saturday nights! If that's not a recipe for a good time, I don't know what is. And don't forget to check out their website for additional specials. In a nutshell, The Goat on Main is a must-visit. Derive was impeccable, the server we had (as a group of seven) was so nice, so inviting and kind. The food and drinks came quickly and were delicious! So glad we stopped at this place roaming around on vaca! Would highly recommend! read more

While I can sympathize that perhaps they put out the sign from a previous event not realizing the price had raised until they were slammed with the crowds, this really should have been fixed with more priority. In the end I paid because it was just a dollar. The portion size was very generous so I did still wind up feeling like I got my money's worth -- and anyway I felt like the prices were reasonable. Our food was ready very fast, within a couple of minutes -- great system in place. The pickle fries were some of the best I've had. The batter was well seasoned with a blend of spices in the batter. The fries themselves were very crisp and crunchy, fried in very hot oil so they crisped up instantly and were not greasy at all. The pickles weren't mushy and had a nice tang. The dish was drizzled in some kind of spicy crema. These were amazing and I would 100% get them again.
