Can I leave no stars... Used to love bringing the kids here for icecream.. Tonight the kids went to pick up food, noticed that the order was wrong and took it back... They person at the front argued that the kids placed the order wrong, they ordered nuggets and received shrimp, my son even questioned the order because the price was higher than usual, and was read back the correct order..refused to fix it because they were closing, my husband called to speak with the manager, and was told if we wanted the order fixed, we had to pay for new food... rudest customer service ever... First timers. Pulled off freeway for Jack in a box, but accidentally cans across this phage making a wrong turn. Sooo glad we did! Our order consisted of a double burger w/fries, 10 piece nuggets w/fries, 2 corn dogs, and a burrito. All the food was super good (burger could have used some seasoning, but otherwise good). Nuggets looked like McDonald's but I think tasted better. Very affordable (10 piece nugget w/fries was only 3.49, but came him a ton of fries). Doesn't about $17. And to top it off, the sauce for the burrito was a throw back sauce my girl used to have back in elementary school, making it that much better for her. Food is definitely fresh and made to order! I go for the Burgers. They have a special burger and shake combo. It's perfect when you want to trade the fries for some ice cream. We've used them via Door Dash several times and it has been excellent every time. It always comes much faster than they say! Their philly cheesesteaks are amazing, the spicy chicken is delicious as a sandwich or a salad, and the milkshakes are to die for. Not too sweet, and they will blend flavors for you. 50/50 chocoloate/peanut butter. Pineapple vanilla. Real peanut butter, real pineapple, not icky flavor syrup. You're welcome. RUDE workers will stop me from spending my money anywhere. I rarely go here because the drive thru wait is always extremely long and the food is a bit expensive, they charge extra for normal things that other places don't (like cheese, ranch, etc). Anyway, tonight I waited in the long drive thru line, got to the speaker and sat there for 5+ min and no one said anything. So I thought the speaker was not working and pulled forward. When I got to the window I was greeted by a very bad attitude. I told the girl that no one got my order yet because no one responded at the speaker - in a snotty way, the girl said "did you not stop at the speaker?" I told her I did and I waited and no one said anything. Then she said, in an annoyed tone "well do you know what you want because if you don't then you're gonna have to drive back around" - this was absolutely ridiculous. I should drive back around and wait in the long line all over again because she wasn't doing her job and couldn't just acknowledge me at the speaker so that I knew she was there and that it was working, so I knew to wait? I was shocked at the suggestion but told her I knew what I wanted. Just as I started to tell her my order, she rushed me and continued her bad attitude acting very annoyed with me. So at that point I just said "never mind" and before I could even finish the word she had started closing the window on me. My daughter suggested coming here for an early lunch, so up Gateway I drove to find it. As I pulled up I fully expected to be served roachburgers with a side of mouse fries. "Worn" is a polite adjective for the exterior, and it's covered with tacky signs that infringe on a beefy range of copyrights, from the House of Mouse to the little blue mushroom-dwellers. I was warned that the tables would be scratched and tagged, but when we entered we found the inside to be nicer that the out, and the tables - or at least their tops - had been replaced. It's a greasy spoon for sure, and there was something charming about it, a relic from a more innocent age, when the FDA was way off in Washington and 'cooked in lard' was the only way to serve a steak. Frosty Queen is what it is, doesn't aspire to be more, and it doesn't apologize: it's a cheap little burger joint that accurately reflects the community around it. A little before 11am, we were the second group to come in, but the dining area was about half full when we left. I think it was staffed by only two people - one on the register, one on the food - and the service was not breaking any land speed records as it was, so I can see that they might get backed up during peak times, but that was not our experience. They have a pretty sizeable menu, serving combo meals of various burgers, chicken, tacos, and more. I ordered the San Joaquin burger (hello, pastrami) and the rest of my group noshed on chicken nuggets and fries. The lettuce, tomato, and onion on my burger were legitimately fresh, and the meats satisfied my hungry soul. The chicken was typical fast food chicken, which is to say not something I would eat, and the sauce choices are ketchup, ranch, and BBQ sauce, so if you're looking for sweet & sour or Frank's Red Hot or something, look elsewhere. The fries were not special, but fries don't need to be special to be edible.
