Wow -- Froth, what a spot! My intern and I met here for a coworking session. I let her pick the spot and I didn't do much research prior, so when I walked through the front door my jaw was on the floor. The place is stunning! It reminds me of a hotel lobby in the best way. Very open and spacious, with lots of tables and desks spread out throughout the space. The barista working helped me decide what to order. She said "iced coffee is a lifestyle" and because she was so cool I did end up ordering an iced beverage on a 10 degree day in February. I went with the dalgona iced latte. This is espresso with a housemade crumbled Korean toffee and milk. It's pretty sweet, but mighty tasty! The toffee melts into the drink to add a toasty sweetness to the latte. The food here is INCREDIBLE! I ordered a breakfast sandwich that was so good. It came with crispy potatoes that were amazing too. Cannot wait to come back and explore more of the menu!
Such a great place to WFH. It has big booths for larger groups and individual desks if you want to have a solo work day. At first it may seem like there is no seating available, but there is a seperate room in the back of the coffee shop where there are more spaces to either just enjoy your coffee or work. It was very busy on monday morning and I feel like its like this all the time because their coffee is good and so it their service. If you like lavender, you should try their latte and add the lavender syrup. It was such a treat. I also got their turkey sandwich that came out on perfectly toasted bread. Overall, great WFH day at Froth!
3 words: Floating Hibiscus Matcha! Absolutely divine, whoever created this is a genius. Without the hibiscus syrup the matcha definitely had that earthy/grass taste, so heads up for those who prefer a sweeter matcha. Perfect place to study, with a lot of great seating and a cozy but industrial loft vibe. The staff are super kind too!
This is a staple cafe for me! Perfect for bringing your laptop to do work either inside or out on their patio. I love sitting on their patio during the summers because it is located in between buildings which are tall enough to provide ample shade! They also have seats with umbrellas, and you have options for different kinds of seating. It's dog friendly and a calm and relaxed environment for working or chatting with friends. Their cafe drinks are always fun and creative and they often have seasonal options! Their drinks are crafted like cocktails, so expect some really refreshing and creative iced drinks during the summer. I recently got their floating matcha hibiscus drink and it was very refreshing and not too sweet. The drink didn't taste much like hibiscus but I still enjoyed it. WiFi is strong so it reaches the outside patio too. Seems like a pretty popular space but I am able to usually find a seat in the afternoon when I've come to do some work. Definitely recommend! The other good thing is that they have a bar outside and a restaurant called bunker inside, so you can switch from work to dinner/drinks in the evening! The food smelled so good but I didn't stay to try it. Next time!
Cool concept inside the Duncan in the West Loop. Amazing industrial vibe inside with plenty of seating for those that are looking for a space to work. Great outdoor area to also enjoy your drinks. Service was fast and staff was friendly! Pro Tip: Froth also serves breakfast and lunch dishes so also come hungry!!
Perhaps a nice place to sit and work but the vibe was interesting. I felt like I walked into an exclusive club, but not necessarily in a good way. They had a small selection of pastries. The coffee was fine, it got cold in my cupholder which is saying something. Service was also fine, i was clearly heading out and a lid was not offered nor did I see one on the counter with the napkins and such. I thought based on the quality of the venue that the coffee would match and that I would finish it on the way to my car. I was sadly mistaken.

Froth has an outdoor patio along with couches and tables inside, making it a good spot for working or studying. The atmosphere is clean and minimal, with a calm vibe that's great for hanging out or getting things done. The menu offers a solid variety of food and drink options. We asked about the most popular drinks on the Frothtails menu and learned that the flavors are listed in order of popularity. We tried the Dalgona iced latte and the Ladybird. As a peanut butter fan, I really enjoyed the Ladybird, the cocoa and the peanut butter flavors stood out in the best way. The Dalgona started off a little bitter, but once the toffee blended in, it mellowed into a smooth drink that wasn't overly sweet. For food, we ordered the French toast and the turkey BLT (no tomato). The French toast had beautiful presentation, but the flavor of the bread was just okay, and there were way too many berries on top. The turkey BLT was decent, but nothing special. The coffee was definitely the highlight, both the taste and presentation were great. While prices overall are on the higher side, the coffee itself is priced similarly to most other shops
We finally made it to FROTH Coffee, which had been sitting at the top of our Yelp "Next Up" list for weeks. This spot has a magical energy, especially for those of us who work from home and sometimes just need a change of scenery. Spacious, with plenty of seating, it's ideal for grabbing a coffee, a dessert, and getting in a few focused hours of work or study. The background music was at that perfect sweet spot: calming, not overpowering, and just right for post-school or early evening vibes. My husband ordered the matcha, and honestly? It was one of the best we've tried, even better than a few matcha specialty shops. Smooth, vibrant, and flawless. Major points there. I went for a cappuccino (extra hot, please), but unfortunately, it came out lukewarm and just average in flavor. Not bad, just not memorable. On a sweet note, I grabbed a brownie that wasn't on the menu but was displayed at the front, and wow. Soft, chocolatey, studded with chips, and absolutely delicious. Overall, FROTH is a lovely local coffee spot that checks a lot of boxes: cozy, functional, and aesthetically calming. I'm giving it 4 stars because while it wasn't mind-blowing, it was still a really good experience.
I think I found my official new favorite coffee restaurant in the city. Remarkably good cappuccino, and my wife's espresso was very smooth and Rich. It's in a converted warehouse style, but it still has many cozy features, including comfortable furniture, lots of space, and a very chill presence. Whether you're looking to get some food and coffee to hang out a friend, or a nice place to work or study, I would highly recommend. Oh, and the baristas were super fun too.
I really enjoyed the vibe of this place. It was relatively quiet making it a good study space. I went around 11am on a Monday and it was really full, so it's definitely popular because it's a really large space. It is dim lighting but I think it sets a nice vibe, there's nice window lighting and seats by the windows too so it's not all dark and I wouldn't say the darker lighting is too dark either. The barista waited for us very patiently as we were a larger group of first timers so that was appreciated. Overall, the general breakfast sandwich was a great size and came with a side of potatoes so the price was reasonable. It filled me up, but I think I'd want to add bacon or something to it.
The Hibiscus matcha was underwhelming but still of good quality so I would come back to try a regular latte. The ambiance is okay if you are in a group, much less if you're alone or were trying to work because the set up is difficult to accommodate for that (very few outlets and tables that are too small/low).
The design of this cafe is like an old university library that decides to also serve specialty coffees. Everyone here is on their laptops in this expensive modern furniture. Good for if you want to camp out for a while with other people. Cold brew is the standout of the menu, comes with a really nicely frothed cold foam with a complex sweetness. Dalgona latte is only okay--tastes just like a regular milky latte, even after the Dalgona toffee melts.
Nice, roomy, smooth, trendy, cool dude behind the counter, and jazzy vibes. This place is so nice. Concerned for parking. Came early morning and there was NONE! That said, still loved it for the v9bes, ambience and great service. Prolly will try a sandwich next time. read more

Everything is perfectly delicious, make no mistake about it. Housed inside a renovated YMCA, Froth offers some tremendous drink and food options that are worth the trip. I've never had a matcha latte quite like this, wow, it is exquisite. That said, the wait times are interminable. Sure, there's only one guy up front and one in back, but 35 minutes to complete our order? What they lack in speed they make up for in quality. read more
As a dog owner, I struggle a lot to find a good place to settle down with my furry pal for coffee that's indoors. In the summer, it's very easy anywhere - just ask for the patio seat and hope that it's not crowded already. In the winter, Fido unfortunately stays home - unless we're going to Froth. It helps that it's located just a block away from The 569 Bark Park, which happens to be our favorite in Chicago. Froth is located in the lobby of a rental complex? hotel? The high ceilings and the Gilded-Age-esque decoration help to set the mood. It's not-too-quiet but certainly not loud - a perfect place for studying, or sitting down for some brunch. Menu-wise, it's rather limited but everything is also rather good, albeit rather expensive. My favorite drink would be the Dalgona Ice Latte, which comes with a toffee crumble that is very delicious to crunch into and pairs well with the roasted coffee flavor. There's also a selection of brunch plates, of which The General is my favorite - the scrambled eggs within the sandwich are perfectly fluffy and there's an air of Asian fusion to it - probably due to the gochujang vinaigrette. Meanwhile, my furry friend is taking a nap at my feet after running his heart out at the nearby dog park; both of us content. read more

Froth is a nice spot tucked away in the West Loop. There's a great patio with a large amount of seating both indoors and in the patio, and it's a dog friendly cafe. The floating hibiscus matcha usually comes with macadamia nut milk, but opted to get it with oat milk instead. The drink looks beautiful with a nice layering, but for $6.50 before tax it's not really worth the price. The matcha flavor was just okay - not too bitter but not a ton of flavor either, and I couldn't taste the hibiscus at all. I would give the drink 3 stars, but the large amount of seating and nice comfy patio brings Froth up to 4 stars. read more
Café Froth at Duncan's West Loop stands out with its inventive and unique drink menu, featuring gems like the Nigel Thornberry and Sandy Cheeks. Beyond the distinctive drinks, Café Froth has excellent breakfast and lunch options. I enjoy the General Breakfast Sandwich which has perfectly fluffy eggs on a light buttery brioche bun. The Turkey BLT is also extremely flavorful and comes with plenty of kettle cooked chips as a side. I am not super adventurous with my drink orders and my go-to orders are an oatmilk chai latte or an oatmilk latte with lavender syrup. Even though I didn't try their most adventurous drinks, both of them were excellent and I would recommend. My friend ordered the cold brew and old-fashioned donut. The cold brew was a bit much for her and she couldn't finish it. If you're sensitive to caffeine, I would proceed with caution and try something milder like a matcha latte or one of their signature drinks. The donut was excellent and honestly one of the better old-fashioned donuts I've had in a while. The café's commitment to both creative drinks and delicious food makes it a standout place to stop in for breakfast or lunch. It's also a fantastic place to work or study in the West Loop, where you can savor a wonderful latte in a spacious and beautiful setting. Love this place!! Plenty of seating for remote workers. You have the option of indoor old school library vibes with large desks and outlets. Then an attached patio with couches and table/chairs, plus a bar that opens up in the afternoon! Ordered the Dalgona Iced Latte, was $8, would order again, it is topped with Korean toffee. I thought I had tried the best matcha latte in Chicago, but as soon as I went to Froth I realized they have the best matcha I've ever experienced. It isn't sweetened but doesn't need it it tastes soooo buttery and earthy without being grassy. Ask for the macadamia milk and make sure you sign up for the rewards stars! They also are dog friendly indoors and let my pup lay on the couch :) read more

Very nice interior and decoration. Very high ceilings. Comfy couches. Really nice place to spend an afternoon reading a good book. Pretty quiet despite its popularity due to its high ceilings. I had a golden milk which is hot tea with milk and some other spices. It was pretty good. read more

An out of the way spot that doesn't look like much from the outside, but opens up into a vast lobby that manages to be open and dimly lit all at once. Lots of sofas and tables that fill up quickly, and there's a large patio outside for the warmer days. The cocktail menu is well curated with both classics and specials with a twist. What a great find this morning! A bit tough to find when driving, but they do have a sign on the sidewalk and my phone GPS led me straight to it! It's in the lobby of an apartment building and there is AMPLE seating inside. And not just boring tables and chairs, it's a really fun vibe and the furniture all matches the vibe. There is also a dedicated outdoor patio. I initially came in for a basic drip coffee, but they had so many fun speciality drinks I decided to indulge. I went with the Blueberry Jasmine Matcha which had a perfect balance of all the flavors - I can't describe it with words you just have to try it! I also got a molasses spice cookie which was soft & delicious. Can't wait to go back and actually try their black coffee...or maybe I'll try another fun speciality drink. Froth has it all! Ambiance, tasty breakfast sandwiches, and the perfect work from home/study vibe. I came to Froth on a rainy Sunday afternoon and was instantly stunned by the decor/ambiance. Literally stunning: comfy couches, huge lighting fixtures, natural lighting, STUNNING. Also a plus, if you are working there are plenty of outlets so you can buckle in without having to worry about your devices running low on charge. In walking up to the counter to order, the barista was very nice and personable and even chatted a bit as he prepared my order. The food was so tasty! I ordered 'The General' which is a breakfast sandwich with scrambled eggs, bacon, greens, avocado and vinaigrette. So so yummy this was the highlight and highly recommended ordering. I also ordered an iced latte which was creamy, bold and absolutely delicious. I worked at Froth for about two hours or so and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Highly recommend. read more
I love this place!!! When I first walked in, I felt like I was in a mysterious professor's mansion. The style is very masculine and I honestly didn't understand that Froth is part of an apartment (or maybe condo?) building but I really like the space! The person behind the coffee bar is always friendly and fast to deliver drinks and food even when there's a line. The breakfast sandwich is DELICIOUS! Honestly, one of the best I've ever had. I always get the matcha latte which is served in a cheerful yellow mug and I love it. Froth is a great atmosphere for getting work done. Everyone seems so focused on getting shit done - it's very motivating. Oh and their dog-friendly patio is heaven on warm, sunny days. read more

Prices are a little higher but welcome to Chicago suckas. But still. So cute. When I see brew-tiful coffeeshops, I have to share them... So here is: FROTH : A cafe that has great ambiance, amazing coffee and delicious food? FROTH really has it all. (ALSO dog friendly!) Almost wanted to gatekeep this place because of how great it is but decided I'm here for you besties! (Still don't crowd this place though please ) Here's the lowdown on what I got: Lavender & Lime Latte : When I asked the barista what she recommended, it was this and the snickerdoodle au lait but with a note that many people like this one. I am many people. The coffee is mildly sweet, the lime and lavender flavor come together mysteriously and work so well together. If y'all like floral, fruity drinks or even if you don't please give this a try! : 10/10 : Approx. $6.00 (+tax) Latte (with Oatmilk) : Very standard cup of coffee but with very good quality coffee. I very much would recommend FROTH for standard cups of joes too! : $6.00 (+tax) : 9/10 Orange Scone : I don't know why I went citrusy, but I ended up going citrusy for FROTH today and I have ti say- I didn't mind my decisions! The scone was crumbly, mildly sweet with a great orange taste & most importantly was not dry. I can't wait to get more rotating pastries the next time I go! : 10/10 : $2.75 (+tax) read more

They have some really delicious specialty coffee drinks on rotation - I got the Sandy Cheeks, with Apple Jacks cereal milk, cinnamon and whipped cream and it was amazing! Their lunch is also great. The indoor space is really cool and there's a spacious outdoor patio - love that you can bring your dog! read more

I really liked the environment, it is cozy and quiet, so ideal to study or do work. I think the dark brew was on the average side specially after paying almost $6. The blueberry muffin was not great in my opinion either. I have to add there are also tables outside to sit, so again this place Is great to to work. read more

Jack Frost mocha was delicious!! The ambience was great, seems like a good place to study or work with calming music and plenty of seating. Gets pretty busy, so recommend coming early if looking for seating. read more
It's amazing they have opened up again with covid precautions and spaced out seating. The indoor is gorgeous with greenery and lots is study space. There is also a huge outdoor patio. The dulce chai latte is on the sweeter side and perfect for a morning study sesh. read more

While doing a Yelp search for "best breakfast sandwiches" I stumbled upon Froth. My 1st mind told me not to indulge after reading the description however I'm tired of eating the same old things. While I can't say I'm a fan of prosciutto even after removing it from my sandwich did I think the was lackluster. Aside from what I assume is either aioli or Mayo this leaves much to be desired. Also the restaurant is located in the lobby of a pretty awesome residential building with a public pool. read more

I live walking distance from here, which is really exciting. The cafe is in the lobby of this apartment complex. I wouldn't have even known it was here if I didn't just stumble upon it. It is sooo pretty inside. The layout, the furniture, the ambiance. All amazing. And it's the perfect place to study. Outlets and lamps everywhere. It's not too noisy at all. A perfect little cafe in the corner with some breakfast meals and coffee & tea. The barista was soo friendly too. Makes a place 100% more welcoming when the customer service is great. There's also outdoor seating which is spacious and cute as well. The apartments themselves in this building are pretty pricey but this building is in the West Loop, so it's understandable. The residents are very respectful and they welcome non-residents into the lobby to enjoy their cafe. I am most definitely coming back frequently to study and chill. So happy I found this place! read more
Beautiful, quiet cafe inside of a an apt building, seems a little hard to find but they have a sign outside. The ambience is like a library or hotel lobby with high ceilings and comfy chairs and tables all around, very conducive to working if you want a nice study spot. The Snickerdoodle latte with macadamia nut was actually really good, not super hot too. Flavors were there without feeling overwhelming. Quiet and peaceful setting was nice. read more
