Lentil bean chorizo patty on everything bagel with egg & avocado spread. Vanilla almond milk latte. Delish!

One of my favorite coffee shops. This time I got the salted caramel latte with oat milk. It was delicious. Also got the pesto veggie breakfast burrito. Nicely grilled, egg & broccoli prepared perfectly. I didn't notice much pesto in it at all. But I loved it with the salsa on the side.

This was by far the best coffee shop. We tried in Chicago as tourist. The coffee shop atmosphere has a sunroom and a first floor so beautiful and so aesthetically beautiful to just sit there and read books or drink coffee and chat. We tried two different types of coffees. One was almond brittle and another one was a cold brew, both didn't disappoint it was so tasty and lipsmacking good with the right amount of caffeine. We enjoyed our visit here.

Iced Coconut Cream Cold Brew and Raspberry Sunflower Muffin

I went to Colectivo for the first time in person this morning and it was great! When I walked in, I was immediately blown away by the interior - I loved the coziness and overall vibe of the space. I ordered a Coconut Cream Cold Brew which was delightful + refreshing. I really enjoyed the coconut foam and highly recommend to anyone who typically enjoys cold brews and coconut. To eat, I ordered the Raspberry Sunflower Muffin which was honestly one of the most delicious muffins I've ever had - it was soft on the inside with a delicious crumble on top. I cannot say enough good things about Colectivo Wicker Park and highly recommend to anyone looking for a quick coffee, date spot, or space to get some work or reading done. Thanks, Colectivo, for a wonderful first (in person) experience!

This location is very busy but, we were able to find seating despite people with their laptops and other belongings taking up multiple seats. One woman took up and entire table and four chairs. This seems to be an issue with most coffee shops that I have been to. Not sure how the establishment can fix this without offending these people setting up an office away from home? Sorry for the side note above. My iced coffee was perfect. I wish I could figure out how to make these at home just as good as they do. I was disappointed at first with the size of the burrito being too small but, it was very dense and very filling. I was pleasantly satisfied with the quality and amount after it was all said and done. I will be back.

Colectivo Coffee is such a cool coffee spot in Wicker Park. It's hard to find a coffeeshop that also does good food, but they nailed both. I wish I had taken more photos, but I was very hungry. I ordered a London fog latte with oatmilk and the salmon avocado toast. The ambiance is such a cool, welcoming cozy environment. It seemed like a lot of people were working or studying. We went on a Friday morning and it was pretty full, but we found a table for two easily. I'd imagine it gets much busier on the weekends. Both my latte and food were exactly what I hoped for and I would definitely recommend stopping by this coffeeshop!

    Cold brew w cinnabun

The first Colectivo ive been to - came on a sunday afternoon and wasn't too crowded. There's plenty of free parking around with a short walk so the wicker park location is pretty accessible Service was quick and we were able to get a table right away. I was happy with the layout and aesthetics - there were various sections of the cafe; whether you sat in the back w benches, in the small outdoor facing rooms, in the fireplace area w couches, or upstairs w window seats, each had their own vibe and feel to it, all of which makes for a good study/work session or some light chatting The cold brew and pastries (got the cinnabun) were fine, nothing special - had a good experience overall when coming here to just hang out with a friend but would come back to see how spending a morning and/or afternoon would go if trying to have some productive time

Cool vibe though can get busy with a long line. I ordered ahead as we were walking over and our two drinks were ready when we got there 5 minutes later! My daughter got the super green smoothie and loved it. I got the iced cold brew oatchata. Very tasty but on the sweeter side.

One of my favs! After living in Milwaukee for 3 years, I was so happy when Colectivo came to Chicago! This is my favorite location. Great space to work with ample lighting. Great service, coffee, and food. Love this place down!!

I needed to get a bit of work done and passed by this cute cafe. The vibe is great here, very bright and cozy. The coffee was alright, I got a pumpkin lavender latte, which didn't really impress me. I'd give this place another shot if I'm back in the area.

Famous Chorizo Burrito-teeny tiny and seems microwaved
    Trish S.

I was excited to try the Famous Chorizo Burrito. Unfortunately, raw shell and hard egg gave microwaved $.99 frozen burrito but much smaller. Their salsa is fine and seems homemade. The side of avocado was the only plus and I paid extra for it. The lavender hazelnut matcha latte was good.

Love the entrance with the plants and outdoor seating. It was a little chilly so I chose the rustic cozy area. I loved the space! The chair was soft and comfy and I felt I was in a little cabin. Sunday early morning is a great time to go for a quiet space to read, work or just hang. The staff were friendly and offered suggestions. I did not get any food but they have a lot of sandwich options. I love cafe hopping so I was just there to enjoy a coffee and read. I enjoyed my coffee but I think I would get the smaller size next time so it has a stronger coffee taste. I would definitely come back!

Cute location, perfect for a quick breakfast bite and coffee. Lots of space to sit and nice decor- upstairs, outside and main level. Reason for dinging one star is that I had to wait for a long time for one breakfast sandwich.

Egg and Goat Cheese Croissant and Salted Caramel Latte
    Bailey W.

The line was super long this morning but the staff kept the line moving and orders out. Though it was busy there is plenty of seating. Almost all tables were full so we were lucky to get the last one. I ordered an iced salted caramel latte and an egg and goat cheese croissant and added bacon. The latte was just ok, it lacked caramel flavor. The sandwich was SO good. A little spicy for my liking but I do not handle spice while. I would definitely order the sandwich again and ask no chimichurri.

Very cool place. Apparently, it's the largest Starbucks in the world at 35,000 square feet. Five…read morestories but the fifth floor terrace was closed for renovation when we went. Go before 10 AM; otherwise, you'll be lining up for stuff. The first floor is merch, second floor food and coffee, third floor coffee experiences, and fourth floor the bar. I made a beeline to the second floor for some unique baked goodies such as the strawberry matcha financier and the hashbrown egg cup. So good! Love what they've done with the space. It just screams treehouse vibes and you can feel free to move around to different floors to look for seating. We ended up on fourth floor and tried out their cocktail flight (ube martini, matcha margarita, espresso martini,). Definitely something you can't get at a regular Starbucks. Definitely happy we started our day here!

I told myself if the line was long I wouldn't go. I got in line for the first floor to go area. You scan the QR code to check out the menu. People are busy walking around trying to buy merch to take home. The upper floors are for sit down service. The drink I ordered was so good. It was a matcha latte with black sesame cold foam. I think it's only served there because I have looked at the menu here at home and it's not there. I'm still thinking about this drink and going to look for it at a local coffee shop to see if it has something close to it.

The cafe is immaculate and service was very friendly. The person who took our order was patient as he explained the different pastries in the case. I wish they had signs explaining what each pastry was so I could have decided while waiting in line. We ended up sharing an iced pistachio latte (delicious and 10/10!), the pistachio cheesecake (10/10!), and the strawberry mousse cake (7/10 - a subtle sweetness, great texture, but needed more cake or crust inside as it was mostly whipped cream and the shell). The mousse cake was $12.00, which felt steep considering it was mostly whipped cream, even though it was obviously beautiful. We would definitely come back for the coffee and to try more menu items! Check this place out!

I wanted to like it. I did. But after a few visits, it's just not for me…read more The first trip, I tried the Matari Tea: Green tea, Himalayan pink salt, milk, and spices, topped with roasted pistachios. Sounds good, right? Alas, it could not have been blander. I couldn't taste any "spices" or even the hint of salt. The profile was that of very watered-down tea mixed with milk, and a ton of pistachios floating on top. Like, barely crushed pistachios. Huge pieces, covering the top of the drink, bobbed around like tiny icebergs, and even they somehow had a toned-down flavor. The drink was definitely a swing and a miss. Fast forward two weeks, and I tried Matari again. This time with a simple cortado. I sat at the table right by the door, and the espresso was pretty good. Solid body, not too bitter. It was on the pricy side ($7+), but I was ok with that. But then, I'm hanging out, sipping my coffee, and I catch a burst of perfume-like scent. I'm shocked, but whatever, I figured someone in heavy perfume walked by, no big deal. A few minutes later, wham, I'm hit in the nose with another burst of perfume. Then, I see it. A slight haze around me. So, not a heavily perfumed woman after all, but an automated air-freshener. After further inspection, I see the unit plugged in on the ground right behind my chair, which sprays up and out on a timer. That's right, an air freshener right next to a table where people consume food and beverages, shooting a mist into the air that slowly rains down onto my head and table, and into my coffee. I ended up tossing the last few sips of my cortado, as I could taste the scented whatever-it-was in my cup. I'd have gone to the counter and asked for a new one, but I was so over my visit by then, I just opted to get out. The staff aren't very friendly. Not rude, but they don't give off a welcoming aura, and I didn't feel like trying to explain the issue. Lastly, can we talk about their little "your order is up" beepers? We've all seen them. The little electronic things that blink and make a noise when your order is ready, so you can go snag it from the counter. When I think of a coffee shop, I think quiet and peaceful, or perhaps a bit louder, with bustling people and well-paired music. At Matari, it's an insane BEEP BEEP BEEP that goes off every few minutes when an order is up. I get it, you don't want to bring the food out to your customers. But does it really need to feel like an airport Chili's? It's a bummer, because Matari is beautiful inside. It's clean, it's chic, and its location is at a notable crossroads in Skokie with plenty of parking, leaving it extremely convenient. They've even got an easy-to-use website, which so many coffee shops simply do not have. There aren't a lot of coffee shops in this particular part of town, which is why I so, so very much wanted to love Matari. But subpar drinks? Air freshener spray intrusions? Frequent and obnoxious beeping? I tried. I'm sorry. I just can't.
