Frozen Ever After is such a fun ride @ EPCOT! As a huge Disney fan, I love how it brings the world of Frozen to life & makes you feel like you're actually in Arendelle. The boat ride takes you through scenes featuring Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Kristoff, Sven, and all the familiar Frozen songs. The animatronics, scenery, music, & little details make it really fun to look @, and of course, hearing the songs throughout the ride makes it even better. I also love that it's not just a ride for little kids. There's something about seeing all the characters you know & love come to life that makes it enjoyable for adults too. The ride is relaxing, entertaining, & has just enough excitement to keep it interesting. The big drop was the highlight of the ride for me. I got lucky & was in the 1st row. Frozen Ever After is 1 of those EPCOT attractions I always enjoy doing when I'm @ the park. If you love Frozen, it's def worth riding! read more

Frozen Ever After is a boat ride that showcases incredible animations, music, and visuals inspired by the film Frozen Ever After. The boat ride is good for all ages and everyone will enjoy the ride. Since we didn't have the premium pass, we ended up waiting in line for about an hour before we finally got to ride the boat. That boat ride was awesome. It was a really nice break from the hot day and perfect to enjoy with the kids. The animations were totally spot on, and the ride itself was pretty smooth, even with a few backward bits and drops. read more

The guy was SO funny! The show was special because there were live characters and also snippets of part of the movies on the backdrop screen. Music was excellent. Decorations were magnificent. This was a fun boat ride. It's mostly calm though there are a few ascents. Don't forget to look up at the last drop for photos! I don't know where you get the photos, though--I didn't see a place to tap for my PhotoPass so we missed out on whatever picture we may have gotten. I don't need a "plot" to my amusement park rides... but this one just shows different characters and events from Frozen, being a much beloved movie. It's a water ride but I don't think we got wet at all (and I probably wouldn't have cared if we had). It's a very popular ride, with 50 minute or longer wait times standard, so we had this as one of our lightning lanes. (As much as I enjoyed the ride, I don't think there's any ride I would want to wait an hour for if I could use a LL to avoid it.) I liked this one more than Remy, so if I had to choose I'd probably make my way to Norway (Remy has the advantage there since it's in France, near the boat/Skyliner entrance we used to the park). read more

I almost skipped this ride because of the fear of getting wet when it just stopped raining outside. There were signs posted that it's a wet ride. And the cast members said you'd get soaked in the front row. With that we requested to sit in the last row. Our boat must have been an anomaly as no one got wet. It had been raining off and on so we had our rain coats on and were ready to take in some water, but nothing, which was good as we really didn't want to get wet. The only bad thing about sitting in the back row is you don't really show up in the ride photo. The line wasn't bad. We waited under 15 minutes with a lightening lane. read more

This is one of the few rides in EPCOT's World Showcase. It is set in Norway and replaced Maelstrom after the Frozen movie became a huge success. The lines are always long, 65 minutes when we visited last, and there is no "single rider" option. Queue starts outside the building and then moves inside. Inside there are cute buildings that are decorated like places from the movie. It did take us a full 65 minutes to finally get on the ride. The boats have 4 rows of seating and there are warnings that you may get wet. I feel like they took out the bigger waterfalls from the original ride and now there is really just a small waterfall at the end. We did not get wet at all however, I think the riders in the front row might've gotten a little wet. It is a cute ride with all of the frozen characters: Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Sven, etc and definitely appropriate for all ages. (Especially Frozen fans, but if you didn't see the movie the ride would still be enjoyable.) read more

I loved Frozen Ever After way more than I expected. The whole ride feels like stepping straight into Arendelle the music, the lighting, the little surprises around each corner. I appreciated how smooth the boat ride was, and I caught myself grinning when the big drop came. It's not huge, but it's fun enough to make you laugh. This ride is located in the Norway pavilion of Epcot. It's really popular and wait time reaches about an hour. We used the fast pass to skip the line and were able to get on the ride within 10 minutes. The ride itself is fun. Of course it runs the course showing different events fronts Frozen. At one point there was the inevitable "Let it go" sing along for half a minute. Then the boat ran backwards for a bit. The ride ends with a giant drop with a huge splash, that gets everyone wet, especially if you sit in front row. Overall it was one of my favorite rides in Epcot. read more

This year I opted for Epcot After Hours since I was getting in late enough that a day park ticket didn't make sense, so I made sure to ride Frozen Ever After because there's always a massive line whenever we've been to Epcot. Now after having ridden the ride (think slightly more chill POTC but Frozen themed) it was short enough that anything over 45 minutes would be too much of a wait for it in my opinion. I'd either recommend a LL if they have them or riding it during EE or After Hours - otherwise personally I'd skip it. The boat was wet that we sat in, but seated in the second row I didn't see any splashing. I did find it interesting that the boat flipped backwards and the ride ended up being designed a bit more differently than I expected. All in all, it's a cute ride, but I felt like Remy had more bang for your buck - so unless I'm with someone who hasn't ridden it before (and it's EE/AH) I see myself continuing to skip it in the future. read more

Back a few years later and we definitely wanted to experience Frozen's boat ride again. There's no options for single riders so we had to commit to the standby line, which is going to be a solid 30-60 minutes throughout the day. Frozen fans will love the scenes and music. As adults we loved the directional changes of the boat and small drops. You may feel water get in the boat - minimal but a few damp bottoms. Great ride for all ages. read more

This laid back ride was fun, and worth the wait, although we waited til it was under 45 minutes before taking the plunge, compared to other wait times for this ride. The wait queue was charming though, with fun Frozen references. I am a Frozen fan, so seeing the story in the ride was fun. I'm a grown adult. I pay bills, file taxes, and complain about gas prices. And yet, here I am giving a five-star review to a boat ride about a singing ice queen and her snowman sidekick. Because Frozen Ever After is that good. The line? Brutal. You'll spend an hour sandwiched between five-year-olds in Elsa dresses, parents who look like they've seen combat, and one guy loudly humming "Do You Want to Build a Snowman" for the fifteenth time. But when you finally board that Viking boat, it's pure Disney sorcery. The animatronics are some of the best on property -- Elsa's face moves so naturally you half expect her to hand you a W-2. Olaf waddles around like he's had three too many butterbeers, Kristoff croons, and then... boom. You hit the backward drop. Not Tower of Terror intense, but just enough thrill to remind you you're still alive. And then Elsa belts out "Let It Go" as snowflakes swirl and your cynical adult heart melts faster than Olaf in July. Yes, I miss the old Maelstrom ride -- trolls, polar bears, oil rigs, and a general "what did I just ride?" vibe. But Frozen Ever After is smoother, prettier, and honestly more fun. It's a multimillion-dollar sing-along that leaves you grinning like a kid, and I have zero shame admitting it. read more

This ride was so fun. I was sad to see Maelstrom go but Frozen definitely deserves a ride. Shockingly, the big snowman seems to scare children so that is something to be aware of if you have small kids. Even this line was great - that is a Disney specialty. It's just air conditioned and always night time and you walk into the store that's in the movie. It's great. read more

Epcot day ride #2: You don't need to know the movie Frozen to ride the ride. Maybe it enhances the experience. I have seen bits of the movie and the ride has inspired me to give it a proper watch. This was a Norwegian themed ride before it became Frozen. I have no memory of that, though my ride buddy does, and misses/prefers that ride. I'm sure the Frozen theme has greatly increased the length of the line. The ride line is usually pretty long. If you see it under an hour, just go for it. We waited I think 80-90 minutes, though the ride wait time said... 60? (But that's kind of standard with Disney.) About 1/4 or 1/3 of that time, we waited outside in the sun. I don't know what else to say except it's a dark ride and it's pretty cool. Should make a good impression on kids if they can get past the dark and maybe a little scary of a waiting area. read more

Wow what a super neat ride for Epcot! As a mom of a 5yo daughter, I would not miss this ride for the world! It was so much fun, and our second trip to Norway. It reminded me of a very tame splash mountain, in aboat, and telling the story of frozen 1. The 3 minute ride with my kids was so special, our princess rode with nana, and we got to have fun through the sights and sounds. There is a lightening lane available for this and we were able to jump the line, and get right in. Super fun highly recommend! read more

Frozen Ever After is probably the second most popular ride in Epcot, after Guardians of the Galaxy. It was a 3 hour lineup for the ride when I was there during the holidays, which was exasperated by the fact the ride broke down twice that day. If you're into the whole Frozen franchise, this ride would bring back a lot of song nostalgia. I have to say though, the ride was too short. It's a good family friendly ride (as long as you can tolerate the wait), but if you're looking for some thrill, this isn't it. I would say if it was an hour wait, it's worth it. Located in the Norway pavilion, in ehat used to be Malestrom, you'll find the Frozen Ever After rode. Well, first you'll find a very long line that winds around on itself that brings you through Oaken's shop, and then an hour later, you'll get to the ride. It is beautiful and fans of the movie will have fun to see and the music is fun. The Ice Monster also makes an appearance, and the little child in the seats behind us got very scared. Just something to keep in mind if you do have little ones. All in all, it is a good ride. I just wish the line were shorter. It is a slow boat ride with one dip, which is great for a little relaxation after standing in line. Not sure it was exciting or memorable enough to get back in the line on a return trip. I remember watching the movie for the first time and the fractals and castle scene taking my breath away. I was hoping for a similar reaction. The ride feel just short for me. That said, it is worth seeing at least once. read more

I want to give this a 3.5 star, but I settled for a 3. It's hard for me to not give large judgement to this ride given the potential it could've had. Context: This is the review of a 30something childless adult woman. If you a have children this may not apply to your experience. While I am a fan of the Frozen franchise, this ride is truly skippable for me because it is truly just not a good ride and the ride it repacked was. The quick notes: if you are a family with small children or children who love the Frozen franchise, yes you will probably love this. I highly recommend investing in the lightning lane as the wait time is without fail Always horrendous. It does not mater what time of day or year, what day you are in park, the weather...the wait is absolutely ludicrous. And the queue has some really adorable elements but it is largy kind of meh. They could have really added some fun interactive elements (especially as they cut the original ride short to make the queue area larger) but they just didn't bother in the haste to open the ride in a short window. This one for me is a skip every time out of spite unless i'm with a group which needs to do it. It actually makes me angry every time I have to ride it because it could have been so good but instead it's just lazy. Here's the Tea: The ride they closed to replace with the current Frozen Ever After was an excellent ride. Beautifully themed. Interesting. Educational. Fun and silly. There wasn't an once of of the track o show that felt forgotten about. It was actually set in Norway which is a plus considering Frozen is not. There was continuity with the surrounding shops and bakery. It truly was a gem. Yes, I am a child of the 90s who did in fact grow up with this ride. Is there nostalgia at play here, absolutely. The thing is, the mandate for Frozen, was get it open quickly. They did it in six months. In this, rush they shortened the ride to add to the queue area. While the queue has its cute moments, interactive elements they are not always on, so they don't really have a place or any use at all...and the rest of the line is quite boring and dark. They actually took out design for dead space. As far as the ride is concerned, as I said they shortened it. Thy took out the element of "falling" over a waterfall on the exterior of the building making both the ride and the exterior less interesting. But most egregiously, there are whole sections of this ride that have no theming or decoration of any kind whatsoever. Just dead space with nothing. A wall and floor painted black. It kind of unbelievable. Especially when you consider the wait time this ride always has, and the fact they removed beautiful elements to just leave those spaces empty.I thin the idea was that guests won't be looking away from the main elements of the stay so who cares about the wall on the other side, but like me...I care. I'm an adult and there are other adults on the ride who are not like glued to the snowman at all times. It's just lazy, kind of insulting, and sort of the epitome of whats wring with the Disney company for the past 10 or so years. Slap some half way done IP on there and who cares if it's well done. Lastly, the egregious projection mapped egghead animatronics they use in these are down often. when they are down, they do not have faces. When I say egghead, I'm not being bombastic or mean...they are just that. White ovals stuck on top of an animatronic body. When the system is down they're super creepy, even scary. Ever seen iRobot?...stick a princess dress on those then you have an idea for what you would be in for. In short, when you remove something that is beloved and really high quality, you better replace it with something 10 times better not something 10 times worse...but hey it's IP so who cares. I get it, it gets a star because if you have kinds all they will see is their favorite character and be delighted so the IP so it gets a star...but its really not worth the excruciating wait it always has. It is not a good ride by any means and i do find it to be a bit of an embarrassment for a company that prides itself on producing quality entertainment. For me this is a 1 star every time and will be until they fix it. Big tip: Get a bunch of food at the Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe (Norway Bakery in the left just before the queue) BEFORE getting in line. It will be long and having the snacks will help ass the time. read more

Frozen Ever After is in the Norway pavilion at Epcot. This ride replaced the previous Norway ride which had mythical trolls and such. They have transformed this into a Frozen ride featuring the characters from the movie. The ride track is exactly the same, nothing changed. It is a very short ride as well and, in my opinion, not worth the wait it comes with. This ride does offer a lightening lane at a cost but unless you or your child are huge fans of the Frozen movie, I would not do it. My main issue with this is the line. This line moves slower than a snail. I believe this is due to so many people purchasing lightening lanes and they just allow them to keep going through. Really the regular line only moves when no one is in the lightening lane. My other issue here is you are in Norway, about to go on a FROZEN ride and it is so hot inside. They really should crank up the AC to assist with the ambiance. There are so many people it honestly is just miserable. There is not much to look at inside, it is pretty dark. There is only one area that has a few cute things to see. My other issue is the boat. I am tall and the space is far and few between. I am usually jammed in the knees, smashed against the row. You do ride in a boat, about 4 or 5 rows per boat. I usually ask to sit in the front since there is more space, but I do feel bad because it is a children's ride and I'm taking up the front with no kids. The ride takes you on a journey through the movie. There are a few drops, nothing too crazy, and you do go backwards for a little bit through the ride. They also have the music from the movie playing throughout the ride as well. Again, if you are a fan of this movie, this is your ride. They also take a photo on this ride, but you must be wearing a Disney Magic Band in order to see the photo. There are no photos shown at the end of the ride. It also empties into a gift shop. All in all, its a really cute ride. Its nothing thrilling or extremely exciting, but its really cute. It is a ride I will go on if the line is not very long. read more

I must admit that we both thought it was just okay. I've never seen the movie, so maybe I'd feel differently if I knew the storyline. It was also the longest line we waited in the entire trip. It had to be at least 45 minutes. The highlight for me was walking through Oaken's trading post and sauna while in queue. It provided a few strange, but fun moments. It's an easy boat ride at the Norway Pavilion. I'd say that this one is mostly for kids. The Nordic vessel does reverse backwards at one point, and you may get a light splash. Parts of the seat row we were assigned to were already wet. It's expected on some of the boat rides. Nothing big. Also, it wasn't that great for taking pictures. My picture of Olaf came out super blurry, so I didn't even post it. There's a lot of singing because it's a musical boat tour. Kids will love it! There's lots of oohing and aahing when the princess is on the balcony. I'd heard it was a must see attraction. Well, it is if you're a family with small kids. Used the lightning lane fast pass for this Frozen ride. It's a fun show with a mix of display screens, machinery, and signing. You're essentially in a chill boat ride that goes through the Frozen story. The models for Elsa, Olaf, and others are quite well made and good quality. The drops are not too intense and mostly chill. This was an overall quality and fun ride but somewhat short. I liked the let it go song which also came with a nice reverse boat drop. Not that because the speeds are low you probably won't get wet at all. The only issue I'd have is that while this is a good ride it would not be worth a 2+ hour wait if I was not using a lightning pass. read more

I could seriously ride this ride over and over and over , but alas the line takes forever and makes it near impossible at times to enjoy. The ride itself is so short so standing in line for 120 minutes etc sucks. The cast members seem to let so many lightning lane people through that it makes stand by take extra long. I will say the attention to detail and funny things like the ice room character make it enjoyable. Olaf is a favorite of course and even the snowmen are adorable. To be honest, we are adults who preferred the Norway ride. This is a homage to Frozen and its characters. It caters to children and indulgent family members. We liked the movie, but we don't feel it deserves a ride to itself, in place of a ride that explored Norway and its legends. We rode Frozen, and we don't feel the need to ride it again. It's cute, comfortable in the boat, and refreshingly cool after waiting in line for forty minutes. Earlier in the day the wait was twice as long, and we are happy to have waited only forty minutes. The children who rode before us were thrilled with it as they exited, and none in our boat seemed scared when the boat changed course and floated backwards. Their joy was infectious. Cute Show, Great Female Historian Character! The female historian character steals the show in the short tale version of frozen. Dancing all over even through the crowd and the falling snow captures the little ones. All the other characters do a great job as well. It's a great fun for the whole family over 3 years old at least kind of show. Our 2 year old was restless at points, which goes with the territory. read more

Not gonna lie - I wanted so much to hate this ride. I was an avid lover of the troll ride that was here before and was a touch bitter about them taking it out. Silly? Maybe. Do I still miss me some trolls? Yes. Do I love this ride....? Yeah, it's pretty great! Disney really is getting better and better with time at making animated faces look more realistic and engaging. This ride is a great showcase of that with many instances of image projections onto animatronics figures. The water ride is perfect to take you from scene to scene, and they have all the classic and much loved songs you want to hear. They kept the fun backwards drop and there are even a few vintage things throughout the ride if you pay attention. They did also leave the troll in the store as you exit, so I guess I'll allow it HA! Overall: A+ Super fun and very on point ride for the Frozen movie. Solid update in animatronics and projected faces. read more
