The rides at EPCOT are really fun and everyone loves them! But the wait times can get long if you don't have the premium pass. The park itself is a walking path that passes through different countries, so it's like a mini trip around the world. Each country has its own specialty food and shows, which can be a great way for kids and adults to learn about different cultures. The fireworks at the closing of the park were beautiful, especially with fireworks coordinated with music, and it was a great end to a great day. The park is just too big to see everything in one day. We went twice, but there's still so much to explore. Epcot was such an amazing park to visit, and it's become one of our absolute favorite.

Knocking off one star because the park is massive and the walking is absolutely brutal, especially in the Orlando heat. Lines for the popular rides and food booths get pretty crazy, but it's a must-visit and a totally different vibe from the other parks. We ended finishing the night with an AYCE buffet (Germany) and a firework show at the end.

I walked into an area…read moredesigned to make me feel like I had been shrunk down to toy size and dropped into Andy's backyard, and the execution of that idea was thorough. Giant game pieces, oversized footprints, building blocks used as architecture, and Christmas lights strung overhead as decoration all reinforced the scale in a way that rewarded me for actually looking around rather than just moving from ride to ride. Slinky Dog Dash is the anchor attraction and delivered as a family coaster that works for a wide range of ages. It is smooth, fast enough to feel exciting, and the Toy Story theming throughout the track layout is well integrated. Wait times regularly stretch past an hour, so prioritizing it early in the day or using Lightning Lane is the practical move. Toy Story Mania is an interactive 4D shooting game that holds up across multiple rides and was genuinely competitive and fun for my group. Alien Swirling Saucers is the gentler option that skews younger, but it is an easy yes for anyone who does not mind spinning. Woody's Lunch Box is worth building a meal or snack stop around. The totchos and grilled cheese are the items that keep coming up for good reason, and the Lunch Box Tarts are worth grabbing for dessert if I want something to eat while I keep moving through the land. The one consistent practical note is that the area has very little shade and gets genuinely hot during the middle of the day. Coming in during the early morning or staying into the evening is the right call. At night the land takes on a different quality with the lighting, and it is worth lingering in if my park day extends into the evening hours.

The park was beautiful, the cast members were friendly, and there was so much to see and experience. However, we were disappointed that about five rides were down during our visit on 5/6/2026. We were able to enjoy slow mornings, have a relaxing brunch, skip the early rush, and still enjoy full evenings in the parks. Even in mid-July, the crowds were much lighter than expected. The Florida heat and humidity were no joke, but bringing cooling fans made a huge difference. We also purchased Lightning Passes, and they were worth every penny. Because of the heat, we focused more on indoor attractions and shows, which ended up being a great strategy. My only suggestion? Disney could use a few more water rides across the four main parks, not just at the water parks. The parks were spotless, Cast Members were consistently friendly and helpful, complimentary water cups were easy to find, and somehow Disney's famous mosquito control system really does seem to work. We barely noticed any bugs, which is pretty remarkable for central Florida. A special thank you to Megan from Kansas State, who was working in Frontierland. She spent extra time answering our daughter's questions with so much kindness and patience. Then, completely unexpectedly, she surprised our family with VIP viewing passes for the parade and fireworks in a private viewing area. It turned an already wonderful day into a memory we'll never forget. Even with the scorching heat, the Disney magic never melted. In fact, I'd say the magic was on fire.

Park guests can stay dry or get as wet as they want while they take a self-guided journey through Moana's world. The Journey took us through a lush tropical island where we soon met the island goddess Te Fiti. On our journey, we played music with streams of water, raised water with the swish of our hands, parted a water fall and directed a dance of leaping streams of water. These are really fun activities for both young and old. Bring a set of dry clothes for your little ones who might enjoy getting wet on the splash pad :o). Try to time your journey with a character meet and greet with Moana. Plus don't forget to drop by the wonderful SeaBase aquarium that is near the Journey of Water.

Even though this is a walk-through journey, just like the other rides, you cannot take a stroller into this exhibit. There are some really fun elements to this, such as the first water encounter where you can pass hour hand through the strings of water to hear some duvet tones. There's a spot where you can jump and the water will respond, and a section where you can raise your arms for a similar effect. There's a wet and a dry path for folks to choose, though I don't think I got wet almost at all but for the time when I placed my hand in the water, and that was walking the wet path. It can get slick in spots though. And there's a PhotoPass opportunity on the path, so you can get a fun photo with Te Fiti in the background. And interestingly, there's a restroom in the midst of the journey. Across from this exhibit is a spot where Moana does meet-and-greets several times per day. As of May 2026, the last one takes place at 3 p.m. Don't forget your autograph book!

There are over 35 global marketplaces spread throughout the park. Each marketplace offers a wide variety of foods and beverages! This year, I picked up the festival passport at Epcot, and then tried to find Emile's Fromage Montage menu items. If you purchase 5 of the feature dishes and collect stamps for each, you could bring your festival passport to the Shimmering sips marketplace to receive a festival treat! Some of those options included the Fall Fruit Cheesecake and the Pumpkin Mascarpone Ravioli. Also, each year there is Eat to the Beat concerts. I ended up watching Hansen and the M-80s on different evenings. Both concerts were fantastic! You could bring food and drinks while watching the concerts! If you're looking for guaranteed seats to the concerts, there are Concert Series Dining Packages at specific restaurants like Biergarten Restaurant, Chefs De France, Garden Grill and more. You'll want to check the Disney World website to explore participating restaurants and dining package pricing. During the festival, I ended up trying out some of the following food options Potato and Pea Samosa - with Plant-based Coriander-Lime Cream (plant-based) Schinkennudeln - Pasta Gratin with Ham, Onions, and Cheese (Emile's Fromage Montage Offering) Apple Strudel - with Vanilla Sauce Frozen Apple Pie - Apple Pie Filling, Apple-Cinnamon Soft-serve, and Apple-Cinnamon Cider topped with Streusel (non-alcoholic) Pickle Milk Shake Fried Pickle Spears with Dill Ranch S'mores Milkshake drink. All of the food was fantastic. My favorites were the Frozen Apple Pie drink. The Apple Cinnamon Cider was a sparkling carbonated drink with the apple cinnamon soft serve at the bottom. It was such a unique drink and refreshing! The S'mores milkshake was delicious! There were chocolate pieces and marshmallow on top of the chocolate milkshake. It was near the Connections Eatery. The fried pickle spears were yummy too! It would be difficult to try everything at the International Food & Wine festival in just one day. Luckily, I had a few nights to try out a few of the booths. Luckily, the crowd thinned out around 3pm and it was much easier to maneuver around the park. It seems lines were longer this year, and many kiosks had only minimal working staff. The Canada, Mexico and France sections were particularly crowded most of the afternoon. My favorite dishes were Canada's Filet Mignon with mushrooms and mashed potatoes (though the filet was cooked quite well done this year), Australia's Grilled Blueberry-spiced Shrimp Skewer (the coconut-chili sauce set this dish apart and the line was nonexistent, which surprised me) and the Forest Field Pumpkin-Mascarpone Ravioli (with tasty pomegranate seeds as a cool twist). If you are looking for a break from the crowds, take the path to the Harvest Hallow area which is off the main circle of the Epcot Wine and Food Festival. It has more plant-based meals here, but they are quite good (especially the Ravioli!!). In addition, the lines are short if you are looking for some excellent wines. There is also plenty of covered seating and tables in this area compared to the rest of the park (see pictures). This is the last week for the 2025 Festival for 2025, so I plan to go one final time on Thursday where I am expecting a less crowded environment. (Tuesday thru Thursday do not require a reservation for passholders so I anticipate less guests.)
