The entire experience made me feel like I had been transported back in time to the 1960s. This review is for the version at Adventureland in Magic Kingdom at Disney World (opened 1971). The original is at Disneyland (opened 1963). There was also a version at Tokyo Disneyland (opened 1983); while the original show closed in 1999, it was replaced by new versions, including the current Stitch-themed one (Lilo and Stitch). It's basically an indoor animatronic tropical bird show with talking, singing, dancing, and sound effects. You sit in rows of a circle and look up and around you to take in all the sights. In addition to birds, there are tiki drummers and talking totem poles. I wonder if this is what a psychedelic experience was like for a Disney animator or Imagineer (or WED Enterprises engineer back in those days) during the 60s. "The Tiki, Tiki, Tiki Room" song, written in 1963 by the Sherman Brothers for this attraction, is still, in my opinion, one of the catchiest songs at Disney World to this day. We made an impromptu visit to this attraction on a non-holiday Monday around 12:10 PM. I don't think there was a Lightning Lane line for this one, so we entered the regular line. There was a short wait with a preshow outside (which my wife and I mistakenly thought was the main show; we didn't realize the full show was in a theater inside).

It's whimsical, classic, and full of Disney heart. A must-see every time we visit Magic Kingdom!

I can't remember the last time I did this attraction, but with the upcoming update and addition of…read morea Walt Disney animatronic, I wanted to experience the nostalgic attraction from the Worlds Fair again. I had forgotten a lot of the specifics and just remembered the basic concept. The representation of different holidays & seasons with each subsequent time frame I didn't remember at all. It was very interesting to see the accuracy of some of the futuristic (now contemporary) ideas reflected in the final scene. I am looking forward to the update especially since we missed the Walt Disney animatronic at our last Disneyland visit due to the attraction not being open yet. This is another opportunity to take a break and sit in air conditioning on hot days.

Gran Fiesta Tour is the slow moving boat ride located in the Mexico Pavilion at EPCOT and is currently home to the Three Caballeros. I actually really enjoy this attraction and find that we ride most visits EPCOT. It usually has a very low wait, it is inside, slow moving, air conditioned, it is great. If you are looking for it, head to the Mexico pavilion, which is the first pavilion to the left at the start of World Showcase and look for the giant temple. Once inside head to the left for the ride. This pavilion itself is small and crowded. It is sometimes hard to see where the line starts but look for the cast members and it will be on the left. The right is the tequila bar. My wife and I prefer to get a drink first and then ride but please note they will not even allow you bring your drink in line. You must finish it, which is something I dont agree with. Every ride allows you to at least have your drink in line. The ride itself is again a slow moving boat ride, with 6 rows in the boat. Another note is the rows are small and not lengthy. My wife has long legs and her knees are always hitting the row in front of her but you can ask for the front. The ride has you searching for Donald while visiting different sites in Mexico. Overall, this is a very relaxing ride, it's family friendly, great to sit down and relax, and just a classic for me. I definitely recommend adding it to your list. ACES!

Even with several boats taking groups for a ride, the line can get backed up as foot traffic flows. Each row fits 3-4 adults, which was a bit tight for our 4 adults. It's a relaxing water attraction with no reason to get splashed or hills. I noticed during this visit it lasts awhile, which is great when the weather is rainy or hot - plus the line queue is primarily inside as well.

I've been on this ride I think three times in my life: twice as a kid circa 1990 at both Disney World here in Florida and Disneyland in California, and once as an adult recently again at Disney World. I think I enjoyed it more as an adult than I did as a kid. Either way, I do think this ride is worth going on as part of a Disney bucket list. At Magic Kingdom, I don't think the ride has changed much since its opening on October 1, 1971. The scale is impressive. At around 12-15 minutes in length, I think this is one of the longer rides at Disney World. The ride definitely feels like a creation of its time (1960s-1970s), and that part to me is interesting and cool because in 2026, we still get to experience what it was like when Disney World (1971) and Disneyland (1966) first opened. Trivia: At the Disney World version of this ride, about 100 countries or cultures are represented by nearly 300 audio-animatronic dolls. Shout-out to the Thai dolls. The song is sung in five main languages: English, Italian, Spanish, German, and French. Other languages, like Japanese, can be heard at the end. We had Lightning Lane passes around 2:13 PM on a non-holiday Monday and experienced a short wait (a few minutes). Fun fact: When I was a kid, I got lost outside the Disneyland version of this ride. My family lost me for well over an hour (maybe two or even three; I just remember hearing the clock outside ring and seeing the animated figurines parade out every 15 minutes over and over again). I stayed put at the gift shop outside and my cousins eventually found me and took me to my mom who was crying inside The Mad Hatter shop. She feared I had been kidnapped.

The film itself is still good but would benefit from added scenes from more recent movies and some of the 4D effects don't always work well. I've also noticed some of the seats appear very worn. I still enjoy this attraction not just from the break from the heat and standing but it is not a must do for me every time we visit.

This ride breaks down so often you'd think it was built by prospectors instead of Imagineers. But when it's working--oh man. That runaway mine train tears through red rock canyons, dynamite blasts, and goat-filled hillsides like it's got something to prove. It's not a roller coaster--it's a divorce test in the desert. The turns are sharp, the drops are sudden, and the whole thing rattles like it's held together with chewing gum and prayers. History check: opened in 1980 at Magic Kingdom, designed by Imagineer Tony Baxter, it was Disney's first real "thrill" coaster that didn't need loops or corkscrews. Disneyland Paris has the best version, but Florida's still holds its own--when it's moving. Think of it as the iPhone 6 of Disney rides: revolutionary in its day, fragile as hell now. The theming? Fantastic. Frontier mining town, caves, geysers, animatronic donkeys that look like they've seen some things. It's a whole Western movie squeezed into three minutes of screaming.
