It feels very lively and welcoming with the bright window lighting and upbeat music. The staff here are sooo kind and also really efficient!! Which makes the experience even better. The drinks usually don't disappoint... I've tried quite a few and they're always been yummy. Today I ordered the Peach Green Tea with Milk Foam, but I wouldn't recommend it since it tasted a bit sour. All my friends' drinks tasted amazing. My personal favorite is the Tbaar Green Milk Tea because it's floral and creamy. If you like drinks that are more on the milky side rather than super strong tea, Tbaar is definitely for you. I'd recommend it as a good hangout spot and enjoy boba with friends!

My memory of having Tbaar in the past is fuzzy, though I don't remember enjoying it very much back then. They have so many drinks on their menu, I honestly couldn't figure out what I wanted haha. Thankfully, one of the workers helped me out by giving me recs & I was then able to decide on two smoothies to try! I ordered a mango strawberry banana smoothie & mango orange smoothie. Thoughts: Both drinks had an artificial taste. The mango orange smoothie came with mango chunks that reminded me of the canned dole pineapple chunks, same idea. Eh. Still drinkable though but not something I would come back again for. I did enjoy the strawberry mango banana smoothie much more than the mango orange smoothie. Originally wanted to give Tbaar 3 stars, however, the worker that helped me was very nice & saw some other reviews saying to try their teas so maybe I will give that a try next time.

Coming in, I first could see the individually portioned rectangles of cakes and viennoiseries. No prices. That's actually a pet peeve of mine, as I dislike needing to take up the attention of a employee just to ask what the price is of something, in case another customer is behind me. Next, to the left, I spied their various baklava type sweets. But we are trying to eat fewer sweets, so initially I thought this might just be a reconnaissance visit. Further along yielded some savories. I pointed at and asked for one apiece of their chicken phyllo triangle (chicken briwat - shredded spiced chicken with sweet onion), the spinach flatbread (spinach herb cheese), and semolina pancake (Golden Pancake). These were pretty good. And service was nice. The sweets I picked up on another visit were poofy, but the filling ratio a bit off. Averaging out to maybe 3.5 in my book?

One would think a 1,000+ reviews in I'd gain some level of confidence! Yet, there are still reviews where I feel I am just winging it. Of course, I try to give my thoughts and opinions as best I can, still, I feel as though I were approaching 30 and can't believe I am technically an adult. This is the case with Pastry Land. I've been in here probably half a dozen times, and only now have I decided to put words on paper by wasting your time with irrelevant metaphors. ONWARDS! Pastry Land has great European style cakes and pastries. Their selection is wide and varied, and the quality is terrific! Everything I've had is distinct, scrumptious, and not over-sweet. Okay, great, so why four stars? Well, with the exception of a pistachio baklava square that knocked my socks off, I didn't find their goods were above and beyond sufficient as to drag me back with the same magnetism as Tatté or Flour (for e.g. - I know these are in different categories). They meet expectations, which is a solid four in my book. For some final notes: I feel that the value is fair in light of the quality. Also, the location itself is spacious, very clean, and the staff are friendly.

We usually go for the BBQ beef banh mi, and at $8, it's a great deal. They make it fresh to order with a nice mix of veggies and a sweet mayo-like sauce that ties it all together perfectly. Super flavorful and satisfying. We've also tried the cold cut version, but weren't fans of the pâté spread -- it gave the sandwich a taste that didn't really hit for us. That said, the BBQ beef one keeps us coming back. Great option if you're in the area and want a quick, flavorful bite.

They overcharge customers based on appearance. If you look like someone who won't question the total, they'll "accidentally" bump your price or make up extra items. It's not a one-off mistake--the pattern shows up again and again in other reviews here. I've personally caught them doing this. When confronted, they acted like it was just an innocent error, but it clearly wasn't. * Always ask for the price before you order. * Always get a receipt and check it before you leave. It's sad, because the food itself is decent--but any place that plays these games doesn't deserve your trust or your money. Unethical and disappointing.
