Yum! With some time to kill on our hands my husband and I visited my home town of Quincy and stopped here for dessert last weekend. The shop is sweetly decorated and has a huge selection of ice cream treats. My husband ordered a strawberry sundae with black raspberry ice cream, whipped cream and a cherry. I had a single scoop of coffee ice cream that hit the spot! We came by on a rainy Sunday evening but I can imagine that this place must be bustling on a warm summer or even fall afternoon. I was so happy they were open so I could finally visit! We will definitely be back the next time we are in Quincy! read more

My husband and I came to Hough Many Scoops on a surprisingly snowy April afternoon. We had been in search of a cute ice cream shop to take pictures in for a pregnancy announcement (I'd have 2 scoops, and he'd have 1. Caption would read "One scoop for the each of us.") Hough Many Scoops had the perfect atmosphere for our picture! Although tiny, the parlor has some seriously adorable decor. From the ice cream = heart wall mount, to the brightly designed chalkboard full of fun ice cream flavors, HMS has adorable taste (hehe, unintentional pun). The owner, Kelli, was very welcoming. She not only agreed to us taking pictures in her parlor, but let us be a bit obnoxious and move a few things around so we'd have room to take our pictures. She even offered to re-freeze our ice cream midway through taking our photos so they wouldn't melt too much. And she also offered tips on how to get the best photo, as she used to be a photographer! (I am currently a photographer, but being in the picture is very, very different than being on the one behind the camera. Posing yourself is a battle! And my friend taking the picture, although artsy, is not a photographer). When we finished taking our pictures, my husband, my best friend, and myself, finally got to sit down and enjoy our ice cream. My friend and I opted for the strawberry, and my husband got the mint chocolate chip. YUM! As I know most of you are just reading this to hear about the ice cream, just know it was so good! My strawberry ice cream was smooth, and had frozen strawberries hidden inside. I usually don't even like strawberry ice cream (only chose for the color), but I find myself craving the ice cream again today. Was just that good! Wish I didn't live an hour away, as I'd be here all the time! The bottom line: Yummy ice cream with a lovely smooth texture, a kind and proud owner, adorable atmosphere good for dates and families alike, and good prices. Check this place out! read more

Rated this neighborhood ice cream parlor 2 years ago, went back today and had the most delicious chocolate ice cream ever! The parlor is neat and clean. Parking is at a minimum so we drove a short distance to nearby Nut Island Park and ate them. I would highly recommend Hough Many Scoops in The Hough's Neck section of Quincy. read more

I ordered an ice cream pie for son's bday on a tues for a sat bday dessert. I knew that something was going to get messed up for the teenager taking the order seemed very confused. He said he would have the owner call if there was a problem. I left name and cell phone. No one called so went to pick 4 days later and lo and behold. No pie. No order. No one working at the time could give an answer as to why no pie made. Asked for owner to call. No call. Im a big proponent on giving my money to local businesses. This place is absolutely astonishingly delicious and the service is so good. My family and I go almost every week for a treat and have never over the 2 year period been treated bad. They are always adding new things and have silly named sundaes. They have a flavor of the month and even Chocolate and Cherry dip. So yummy! I would totally recommend going there.
