Came here to have dessert after dinner. They weren't closing for another hour but it was already completely empty. Our dessert order was packed in a bag too as if expecting us to take it to go. Out of awkwardness, we didn't eat it on the spot. I got the triple layer dessert because I was most interested in the coconut part of their offerings, and this would let me try all of their variations. It's supposed to be coconut water jelly and coconut milk jelly all prepared inside a coconut which also has its own coconut flesh. I can't tell if I can't differentiate the layers or my coconut really didn't have water jelly inside. I could only see/taste the milk jelly parts. The flavor and texture itself is amazing. It's super soft and melts in your mouth texture. Appreciate how they didn't overdo the gelatin (or whatever thickener they use). The coconut flavor is soft and gentle and creamy. They actually add coconut flakes on top. It's nice to have different texture but I can live without it. Or maybe they added it in place of coconut jelly to be another layer?? Having the whole coconut itself makes it feel worth to get the triple layer. However, the coconut meat isn't necessarily the most tender or sweet. They give a plastic spoon and that's barely strong enough to scrape out the flesh. I guess that's why it's better to take it home - to use a metal spoon. My conclusion is that I'd rather get the single or double layer next time. I think I want to try the double layer next so I can explicitly see the coconut water jelly layer to determine if I think it's worth to get or I should just double down on the single layer option of just coconut milk jelly. It also begs the question whether single and double layer is worth it when the triple layer comes with a whole coconut while the former two come in a glass jar. 4.5* but will put 4* until I try more and have a better conclusion. read more

I warn you now, this place is dangerous! If a jar of their coconut jelly didn't cost ~$10, I would probably be eating one or two daily! Even with the cost, it takes some combination of willpower and intentional forgetfulness to stop myself from coming in every day. As much as I love to be adventurous when it comes to food, I've kept it simple. I've only had the single and double layer variants. I did try for a mango-mochi once, though they were out of stock that day. Oh Ye produces perfection! The level of sweetness is ever so gentle and delicate. There is enough of it that one knows they're enjoying a dessert, yet not a bit more. The texture is creamy and rich while still being smooth and not overly dense or fatty. The coconut flavors are mild, yet present and noticeable. Nowhere near the yelling done by Almond Joy, not that there's anything wrong with Almond Joy! I've had countless delectable desserts, yet none where subtlety is their strength, until now. The flavors and textures whisper sweet nothings in my ears and I am 100% here for it! Now, these are not a cheap pleasure, but in light of the quality of product, I think ~$10 for a jar is not completely unreasonable. By the way, pro tip: the jars are very cute, and not taken back for wash/reuse. If you want to keep it, bring a means of transporting it home. Finally, the one complaint I have is regarding the menu. Coconut Jelly is something completely new to many, thus, I would have prefered the menu not describe single and double layer with word-for-word the same phrase. There are plenty of great bakeries and such in the area, but only one place making coconut jelly. If street parking presents minimal to no open spaces, there's also parking around the adjacent residential streets for 2 hours. Our first time sitting down (second time ordering), the space isn't too small as there's enough room to sit and stand. As you walk in, the ordering counter is at the very end, flanked on the left by a bar-like seating area with stools and kiosks and the right with about a few small and medium sized tables. Step right up to the counter and you'll find the current available selection of coconut jellies - tonight (we arrived closer to 8PM) there were single, fresh coconut water, matcha, matcha red bean, Oreo, peach gum and coconut jelly triple. We ordered Oreo to try amongst ourselves and the texture of the coconut jelly compared to our first time taking out was inconsistent - lumpier and rougher as opposed to smoother. It leans towards the texture and abrasion of a pudding instead of a jelly. Although we needed to ask for napkins, we thought the service was quick and friendly - the individual who took our order brought his daughter (maybe his niece), who had a neat and fun time interacting with my cousin's son.
