Ben the owner was incredibly easy to work with and made coordinating the quotes between 3 different houses sharing common fences very simple. Ben was very accommodating as we worked though multiple rounds of revisions to the quotes due to new requirements from the various houses. He quickly made the updates and got the revised quotes sent out. From a customer service and price standpoint, Good Neighbors Fence was easily the best of the 3 companies we requested quotes from. As for the quality of the fence, we could not be happier. Ben was on-site at least once or twice a day to supervise the crew throughout the 3 day installation. The actual crew was very professional and completed all the work with good attention to detail. They did a fantastic job keeping the work site clean throughout the day, and always made sure everything was orgainized before they left for the day. As always there were a few very minor details to be addressed on the final walk-through, but each item was quickly resolved by the team with a smile. The team really did make an effort to ensure everything was done to their high standards. I called three different roofing companies and Alex came out the same day. I never even got a call back from other two places. Ever since that first visit Alex has been a fantastic communicator. His crew came out and replaced the roof and vents in one day. His other crew came to replace all the gutters and downspouts. They even hung a new gutter/spout by the front door entrance and told me it would be no charge. Alex also personally replaced our hail-damaged screens. Now for the icing on the cake. Because we chose impact resistant shingles we are eligible for a significant reduction in our homeowners insurance. Alex took care of all the paperwork and communicated directly with our insurance company to make that happen. THAT is customer service and blew me away when he told me he would do that. The work and service Alex and his crews provided was top notch and we are very happy we chose Alex Roofing and Remodeling.

For prospective customers reading this, here is the verified context: Fraudulently advertising yourselves as a "James Hardie Elite Preferred Contractor" to secure the job, only to systemically violate the manufacturer's strict installation guidelines, is not a "punch-list" oversight--it is deceptive marketing and a material breach of contract. Puncturing an internal PVC plumbing pipe, illegally wrapping it in black duct tape, and immediately hiding it behind the new siding is not a 'punch-list' item - it is active fraudulent concealment. The 'Fraudulent' Financing: We authorized the payment because they claimed to follow actively concealed the duct-taped plumbing. Inducing a customer to authorize a loan by hiding severe damage is the legal definition of fraudulent concealment. Contradictory Public Statements & The BBB Complaint: JP Exteriors is using public platforms to feign cooperation. On our active BBB complaint, they claim they are waiting for our independent inspection report before taking action. However, their own written record proves they inspected the property themselves on June 11th and issued a superficial patching offer on June 22nd. The very next day, they explicitly stated in writing they were not willing to expand their scope to a full replacement, formally refusing to cure the hidden defects before our third-party inspection was even conducted on June 24th. The 42-page independent inspection report, which we received on June 29, definitively confirms that the widespread, concealed code violations and structural deficiencies cannot be resolved through superficial patching. The report details systemic failures, including improperly installed weather-resistant barriers, missing flashings, overdriven fasteners, damaged boards, unsealed wall penetrations, and an internal PVC plumbing pipe that was punctured by a fastener and actively concealed with black duct tape. The Manufacturer's Involvement: James Hardie is indeed involved, to the extent that the manufacturer offered to provide free replacement materials to JP Exteriors so they could execute a proper rework. Our problems started in 2019-2020 when my mother wanted to update the bathroom with a different toilet. During Covid, I was nervous about this project without advice from a plumber. My dad assured me that they had replaced many toilets in the past... (it's true. However this time dad was impaired with vision loss and cognitive issues). I couldn't tell what was wrong exactly but I was one who wanted to watch YT for advice and my parents grew annoyed at the thought. After the install, I knew problems were there when the toilet wasn't maintaining water... I was ignored. "You're not a plumber" was my mothers response every passing year... Eventually, the problems were too big to ignore. The flooring and toilet started to leak. The flooring was moldy, buckling and lifting. I was worried about costs. I was worried about my mom handling this project without my dad being in charge... the plumbing issues and potential leveling issues. Mom got several estimates. Our job requires 2 contractors. A plumber and a carpenter. They work independently from each other. This review is strictly for the carpenter/flooring. Steven has great communication skills and work ethic. At the time of this review he has 5 other stellar reviews and every single one of them has nuggets of truth that could apply to us as well. He pays attention to detail. He communicates effectively and if you are uncertain about an issue he shows up promptly, responds via phone or email in a timely manner and his rates are very reasonable! My review is lengthy so I will avoid making it too long. Bottom line if you need flooring installed by a reliable, trustworthy company in the New Braunfels / Canyon Lake area, consider this one. We were very impressed with the amount of work done in such little time. It was Steven & one assistant. Once they started work, they focused and worked hard. Flooring was removed, replaced, beams, baseboards... This was not a tiny job. They completed it in two days! I do have before, during and after photos but it's on mixed media right now. A misc. note: I initially did not want to get involved in my mother's project. It was a true test to see how this project would evolve. My mother failed miserably in this task. I was only able to feel comfortable enough to intervene because Steven is personable and easy to talk to. I'm a native Houstonian. I've worked in large companies with many different group leaders in my time ~ Steven is the definition of effective TEAM leadership.

After being a no show I get an email saying they didn't make it out, which happens. But instead of coming out the next day, they come out three days later. When I get home later that day I see some work has been done. Large patches of grass were missed all over, what was cut is very uneaven, there is trash laying around in my yardbthay was hit by a lawnmower but just left there, leaves and branches are still everywhere, and when I checked my yard cameras I see leaves we're just blown off into my neighbors yards, for which I am responsible for and have to make appologies for and clean up. So when I contacted The Green Dude about a $100 invoice for this mess, this was the response: "You are right it was not our best work and I apologize if the leaves got blown on the neighbor's lawn. Please take a $20 discount on this invoice." No offer to come out and fix it, the mess is still there and I am still being charged $80, plus need to go fix it myself, along with my neighbor's yards, or spend even more money to have someone come do it. I am very sorry, but I cannot recommend The Green Dude after this. You are better off finding a kid that can use $20 and hire them for this kind of results.

I had met with 6 other potential deck installers before Joseph and none of them came close to offering what Joseph offered in terms of craftsmanship, creativity, attention to detail, and thankfully, affordable pricing. Joseph and his crew of 3 went above-and-beyond for our project: a total tear down and complete replacement of our aging, structurally unsafe 2-story backyard deck of about 1200 sq. feet that was neglected for years by the former owner. We didn't simply want to recreate the old deck with new material; instead, we wanted to be bold and design an unique, one-of-a-kind deck, but within our budget. That's hard to pull off, but Joseph was able to do it. Despite losing a few days here and there due to rain and delays on material, Joseph & Co. were able to finish everything in about 2 months. I'm very hands-on with my home renovation projects. So Joseph and I spent dozens of hours scoping out this project, discussing pricing and materials, and project managing the project each day. Joseph always made the time to answer my (numerous) questions and he drove to my home dozens of times to check on his crew's work and speak with me. (He lives about an hour away.) Joseph is such a brilliant, knowledgeable, friendly, trustworthy, and conscientious man who truly is passionate about his craft. He constantly came up with creative solutions to develop what I consider a very original deck, from the configuration he came up with to lay down 3 different sizes and 3 different colors of Timbertech deck boards, to installing thin cabling for our railing, to installing a lighting system for the railings and upper deck that perfectly illuminates every inch of both floors at night. He's also a perfectionist like I am. If something was slightly off, he'd work to get it perfect. Since this post is getting long. I'll end with commending his crew of 3 who worked their butts off for us every day. They were professional and thoughtful every step of the way. Whenever we had a nitpick, they would patiently address our concern. Please see photos below of the superb work Joseph & Co. did!
