So Frugal's has moved locations! Unfortunately it's not for the better. There is less stock (possibly because they've just recently reopened!) and the prices are higher. While there are definitely some treasures and deals to be found, it's ultimately a downgrade in quality from the previous location, at least at the current time. I also want to note that despite loudly advertising that "all clothing is $2.98," they have a section at the front of higher priced clothing items. I admit I think this is a rather duplicitous business practice. It also seems random what clothes are put up there. Some of it was the same fast fashion that infests the rest of the clothing racks, while some finer materials and true vintage was languishing on the $2.98 racks. It just didn't make sense to me! It's worth a stop if you're in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way for Frugal's. read more

Located in a relatively safe section of town, Frugal's Family Thrift store is available to service all of your second-hand market needs. I found the parking lot to be depressing as if I was in the middle of no-where with civilization being hundreds of miles away. I'm just adding this point as it was the way I felt. That said, the staff friendly and most of the patrons were very nice. Please note Thrift stores are very hit or miss so going from week to week can result in a highly different experience. I'll be the first to admit, all thrift stores have a funky smell to them and I found Frugal's to be especially smelly; nothing to the point of unbearable but it lingers for the duration of the visit. Now in terms of being what do they offer, well pretty much everything and anything. Furniture, clothing, toys, books, CDs/DVDs, cookware, you name it. I found the kitchen section in terms of pots, pans, mixers and things of that nature to be very sparse while their main attraction was clothing. Off in the back right, one can find a small furniture section with some decent to horrible offerings. I liked some of the books they had and was extremely tempted to pick something up since I found many that perked my interest. Their music selection had me laughing as I noticed a couple odd bands from the 80s, 90s and beyond which I don't think anyone would buy. Color Me Bad anyone? I don't recall seeing much for motorized lawn equipment but I was in and out relatively quickly. Overall, thrift stores have a very particular clientele and subculture. I'm pretty sure if you're reading this you know how things go, so I'm not going to try and upsell you, rather give you the thumbs up to come on by and see what they got. It's safe and the people are nice while have a very large floorspace open to many different reasonably priced objects. read more

The ladies working so hard are enjoyable and friendly to all. I recently purchased a patio set and I was immediately assisted in loading in my truck. As an elderly, I was indeed surprised and appreciative. read more

Most of the clothes are only $2.98 and the baby clothes are all in Big Ben's all mixed together not very organized but they are only $.50 apiece so everything is very well priced but not very organized and it can get tiring, looking through the baby clothes. But the people there were friendly, even though it's not that great of a part of town, but the staff was also very friendly. read more

I stumbled upon this place a couple years ago and was very impressed. This store is like a hidden secret gem for people like me who rely on second hand for most things. They still understand the concept of "thrift" and price most all items accordingly. The only exceptions would be occasionally kitchen items and furniture, but nothing like the markup at other places. I appreciate this place a lot and always find something great! They even do really awesome sales, though at their already reasonable prices, it's like a jackpot. This is a Christian-operated thrift store managed by friendly folks who understand the needs of those of us who can't afford to buy new items. They are a group that goes on foreign missions to serve underprivileged people in other countries. What they don't sell goes over seas to help others. Nice little thrift, with a ridiculously rotating amount of furniture and other odds and ends. Seriously, don't let one visit where you didn't find anything throw you off, the next day they often have completely different things out. Very cost effective too. read more

Located towards the end of a large, vacated strip mall, this is kind of a hidden treasure. Good variety of items. Has a little more furniture than some I have been too. The usual clothing and old electronics. Things seem to be easy to find. Big houseware section. It is really easier to find than you think, worth the stop on your thrift day out. read more

A small, clean thrift store with great ministries & the most inexpensive one to boot !! Great staff. Clothes are $1.99 or less everything else is equally inexpensive. They have a weekly food pantry, as well as a clothing pantry & a diaper pantry & other assorted as needed helps. They frequently have a shopping cart with free food (potatoes, onions, bread & whatever else they might have on hand). I drive past 3 thrift stores to donate & shop here. In a busy area next to a lot of other stores. This is Christian based so no matter what YELP has posted they are CLOSED on Sunday. read more
