I haven't really had much bubble action in the US but when I lived in Asia for a few years these kinda drinks were all the rage. I used to drink these things all the time. Something about those little tapioca balls makes these fruit chillers really special. But what I dig about this place is they don't just stop at the normal black balls, they have a large assortment of "fruit jellies" you can add to your drink. I totally dig on the jellies and fresh fruit add ins. It's a laid back place where you can play some of your favorite boardgames from their big selection or read up on some of the latest celebrity dish from their stack of magazines. first of all, i think it's really irresponsible for fruitealicious to continuously dose their drinks with crack. that is the only explanation for why i sometimes wake up in the middle of the night, completely dehydrated, craving fruitealicious so hard that it feels like withdrawal. on the other hand, it could just be that they serve damn good tea. the ultimate endorsement of my fruitealicious love is the fact that i live directly upstairs from a fat straws. in fact, i'm in fat straws right now, leeching off their wireless. their drinks are solid, and the avocado smoothie is always ace. but my relationship with fat straws is like a long marriage, and i am completely cognizant of its flaws (weak tea, watered down drinks). if fat straws is my husband, fruitealicious is the insanely hot, illicit love affair. delicious fresh fruit, mind-boggling popping boba, and a countless combination of possibilities. i recommend the strawberry black tea with mango pop boba, but don't hold me responsible when addiction sets in. i'm sure you've heard by now that the service is impeccable. i cannot emphasize how true this is. carmen and jon really pour their all into this place, and strive to please their customers. and neither of them have mocked me for showing up three days in a row in the same clothes. read more

Was just in there and ordered a lychee lemonade. It was awful....just sour and no lychee flavor. Seeing that there is replacement guarantee if you are not happy with your drink, my daughter went to ask for a different drink. The guy copped an attitude until I can over to make the request. He made a new one, but not without showing his displeasure. Big mistake coming here. I should have gotten my drink at Sharetea down the road. Went back for a second try and I'm so glad I gave them a second chance! Shortly after posting my first review I got a message from the owners personally appologizing for the poor experience I had on my first visit. The message was very sincere and the owner explained that he had been having some staff issues and that may have been the reason for the lack of supplies available to make the drink of my request on my first visit. He invited me to come back and give them a second try by offering me a complimentary beverage of my choice. Fair enough, I'll give you a second go. As I said in my first review, I REALLY had high hopes for the place and I wanted to like them. So many people love this joint, so I really was already thinking my experience must have just been a one off bad day for Fruitealicious. And lets face it, we all have our less than perfect days, don't we? WOW, so let me say I am SO SOOOO glad that the owner wrote me and encouraged me to come back. I don't live very close to Fruitealicious, so chances are I would have never gone back in this lifetime. But, for a free smoothie I figured I'd stop by the next time I was remotely in the area. I introduced myself to John, the owner. I had printed off the message he sent me via Yelp as verification to claim the free drink, but he quickly realized exactly who I was as soon as I started to explain and warmly greeted me and thanked me for coming in. It had been a couple months since he messaged me, so I was already impressed that he knew exactly who I was. So John again offered an appology for my first experience not being phenomenal, but was glad that I came back in and gave him a chance to change my mind. I chatted with him a bit about his business and how long he had been doing bubble drinks, ect. John is a super nice guy and he and his wife started Fruitealicious together....how cute. I love supporting small local businesses when I can. We then started to chat about all the drink options and what his recommendations were. Their menu is impressive....if not a bit daunting....so I was hoping he could point me in the right direction. John made a couple suggestions, one of which I already had my eye on. I appologize for not remembering the exact name of the drink, but it was A-MAZING. I think it was called Tres Leches. Basically it was horchata drink with chunks of delicious flan in place of traditional boba. Yes, you read that right....FLAN! I think they even made the flan in house. I added traditional boba to the mix. He whipped up my tasty treat himself, and in no time I was sipping a little glass of ambrosia like nectar. Mmmmm mmmmm. This time, the boba (bubbles) were perfect in texture and consistency. While I was there trying to decide what to order, several other patrons came and ordered drinks, and John was kind enough to pour me a small sample cup of each smoothie/tea concoction. I think I tried 3 or 4 drinks in total, and they were all awesome! So, in my opinion, Fruitealicious really is AS GOOD AS IT GETS for Bubble Tea and Smoothies in the DFW area. In fact, they actually might be able to hold a candle to some of my favorite places in NYC. Fruitealicious for the WIN! read more

I recently reviewed Fruitealicious and loved everrrrrything about it except this one little bad experience. I had a manager contact me and offer to correct their mistake and apologize for the off day that one of the workers, who had been rude to me, was probably having. To be honest with that kind of customer service and those killer bubble teas, I don't need to go back again to know that this is a five star establishment. Love these guys! Great service and great bubble tea! This location in particular is also my favorite because they've been around for so long, work great with customers, and never change with the way they work with their deals and offers. One thing I especially love about this place is that they have flan as an option to put in your drinks, which most people don't know about but it is Fantastic! It would be nice if they allowed free samples to try of certain drinks in smaller cups in case someone just wants to try it if they can see if they like it or not. Wow, extremely impressed with this place! I haven't come across anything like it. It's much more than your average bubble tea place, it has all different types of drinks that appeal to different styles / tastes. I love the different types of bubbles they have; they even had star shaped mango ones! My favorite drink is the Frozen Hot Chocolate from the Mixology menu, yum!! It actually had real chocolate pieces in it! I was in chocolate heaven. The decor is very bright and fun. The owner's and staff are nothing but pleasant and helpful. I have to revise my prior review; while I do think they're a bit pricey for boba tea, they are worth it. They are always friendly, fast, and are changing up their menu and offerings. They've even started to offer a sweetness scale, so you can notch down the amount of sugar in each tea. As a business, they employ a lot of teens, and seem to be happy to give them a nice place to hang out. I have a word of warning: ask if the tea if made with powder too. My SO bought a watermelon bubble tea and it wasn't as good as mine because they used powder along with syrup. They told me that teas with powder are watermelon, taro and honeydew. If you stay away from those, you should be at the very least, satisfied with you drink. I make this a destination on my summer walks. The people who work there are so knowledgeable, I feel confident in asking them for recommendations. I got Green Tea, Passionfruit, and Lychee Jelly. One girl made up my drink and recommended I try Pineapple next time. I did, with Black Tea, and Mango Jelly. Delicious after a hot day, and Dallas seems to have a lot of those! The darker tea mellowed out the tart-sweetness of the pineapple without overpowering me with the bitter tea flavor. I have had Ten Ren bubble tea in NYC, and various other bubble teas around NYC. This has to be among the best. Large variety of choices, fresh fruits. I was so glad that I didn't have to give up bubble tea on my move down here! ETA: Their member awards program isn't great, but seeing as I plan to go there very often, it doesn't hurt. You get points for every drink, say a large bubble/jelly tea drink is 355 points. When you get up to 2000 points, you'll get a receipt that lets you get $2 off your next drink. So basically, spend $20 to get $2 on the next drink. With a 8.25% sales tax, you're getting a little more than the cumulative sales tax back (1.65). I have since had the aloe vera jelly. Ask for a sample of anything you're not familiar with. Also, you can ask for flavors from the chillers menu. They're very accommodating! read more

Just had my first sip of heaven here yesterday! I tried the watermelon black tea with strawberry popping jellies....OMG!!! Hale to the popping jellies! It was very difficult not to order my usual fav at other tea shops, thai or chai milk tea with boba, but the menu was so big I wanted to try something different. So glad I did! Now I'll be driving 40 min. at least once a week to get my fix. Very friendly staff and generous with the boba/jellies! Also love the sealed lid. read more

This was my first time at Fruitealicious and when I walked in, I had the nicest barista/cashier greet me. He was super sweet and asked if he could help me choose what I wanted or give me any suggestions. I ended up ordering what I always order from any boba cafe which is taro with pearls! I had a Groupon for Fruitealicious so I ordered 2 large taro smoothies, one with pearls and one without pearls. I got both my drinks easily and without any hassle! My Groupon successfully scanned and I left with two tasty drinks! Of course I didn't drink both large taro smoothies, but I definitely downed one! It was super tasty and it is comparable to the taro smoothie I get from other boba cafes! Unfortunately Fruitealicious isn't as close to be as other boba cafes are but as long as I'm in the area, I'll definitely stop by again. read more

Awesome!!! I've never tried one of these places out before. To be honest I always thought they were a little hokey and gimmicky. I final stopped and tried it the other day on my way out of Albertson's. The young girl behind the counter helped me decide what to get, lots of options, and even let me try the little jellies, squishers, and tapioca balls that you can add to the drinks. The drink was delicious and will be back again more often. As a side note, I really found it interesting that they seal there drinks with a heat seal instead of a lid. makes it great for you not having to worry as much about spilling the drink if it tips over. I ordered the jasmine milk tea, my go-to favorite drink. However, I was very disappointed here. It tasted like water and sugar. There was no milk tea or jasmine flavor that it's supposed to have.
