Me and my wife absolutely love coming to the Fruitful Yield and we wanted an excuse to check out the Elmhurst location. I thought it was cool that this was right below our parking garage the moment we got out. It's a really huge store honestly with a wider selection of snacks and food compared to its other locations. It's got narrower aisles which there's nothing wrong with it I just thought it was cool for this store. Clean restrooms and very helpful and social staff that really know their products. Denise at the Elmhurst store is one of my favorite people EVER to consult with on my health journey. Her knowledge of products and the companies that make them allow me to make the best choice for myself and my family's needs. I was so disappointed when I stopped seeing her at the LaGrange Park location, but when I saw her at the Elmhurst store I was teary eyed. There are some people who just go above and beyond when they really don't have to, and Denise absolutely does in every interaction and encounter we have had with her. She is always so kind and both empathetic and energetic in her responses to all of my questions. Honestly, shopping at Fruitful Yield is my self-care and I feel that my business is always appreciated - I try not to shop anywhere else if I can help it because I love this company so much and they employ so many amazing women, especially Denise. read more

Everyone greets you as soon as you walk in and is extremely welcoming and friendly! I love stopping by for snacks and specialty items.

Convenient location for me. A lot of natural foods I eat, and also some outstanding cleaning products that are non-toxic. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. My doctor recommended some products there for me like Arnica Gel, which really helped my back soreness. It's kind of "crunchy," as the kids say, but I definitely recommend checking it out. read more

This store is convenient cause it's a corner store and there's street parking around it. I think of it as a mini version of wholefoods. Some items are priced the same while others are cheaper. The selections are pretty comparable, they offer a free customer rewards card. If you spend a certain amount then you get a $5.00 off your next purchase. Last time I got $5.00 off card in the mail. They also accept manufacture coupons here at well. If you get lucky on-line, there are times that there's a printable coupon to use at Fruitful Yield...maybe not in this locations but you can ask if they would accept it. They usually would...they should if they want your business! They have a few fresh food items, mini frozen section, and refrigerated items as well. The inside of the store needs a face lift though...it's kind of old looking. I would go back if I don't want to take a hike up to Wholefoods. read more

I love fruitful yield. It's my place to go when I need rosewater spray, Aztec clay, nourishing skin oils, essential oils, dr. Bronners or just to browse. I usually have an interesting conversation and learn something new from one of the employees. They even sell kombucha on tap! How awesome is that?! I haven't tried it but I'm wondering if it has more bubbles than the bottled ones. If you're in the area and into the crunchy/scrunchy lifestyle you might as well stop by! read more

Frustrated that so many items are sold for so much less on the FY website... some items are literally 20% less online! Why the markup for customers who actually come into the store to shop? Conversely, the online shopping experience is awful - one can't read full product labels and many items in stores are simply not available online. FY can do better. read more

I have been confused about this store for years....Is it a grocery store? Vitamin store? And without a parking lot (street parking only), quite frankly I have just been too lazy to go in there and figure it out. I am on a smoothie craze and my smoothie making skills are getting pretty advanced! Needed fresh or frozen acai berries and I was also too lazy to drive all the way back to Whole Foods in Wheaton! Sooo...it was time to check out my local health food store! Fruitful Yield is a big winner!!! They had acai powder or frozen aronia berries (also a superfood and acai berry substitute). Some of the other goodies include wheat grass juice, organic frozen fruit, vegan cheese and lots of other health food brands like Amy's, Udi, etc. The store is split into a vitamin/supplement section. This part also has tons of different whey flavored proteins (blueberry, bourbon vanilla, etc)! The other half of the store is a grocery section with a small freezer/fridge section and lots of boxed organic and natural products (lentils, rice, quinoa, cereal, oats, oat bran, granola bar type things, CHOCOLATE, licorice candy, etc). The employees are very knowledgeable about the products they carry and can recommend options to you based on what you are looking for. Minus one star for being kind of a dimly lit/out-dated little store and having some freezer burned bread products in the frozen section. Hard to believe I have never written a review of this location before. It is my quick place to stop when I need something "healthy" and "green". The staff is always on their toes and ready to help, or to leave you be if you prefer (I usually do). The store is small compared to other locations, but I find my herbs, homeopathics, vitamins, organics, and cleaning supplies here - no problem. Although I usually think of this store as one of the go-to places when looking for some interesting herb or vitamin, I never usually venture into the other side of the small store. So I was pleasantly surprised at the variety of healthy organic grocery items that they carry here! They carry buffalo meat, which is much leaner than cow; and they carry Ezekiel bread as well as many organic produce items. One must-have at this store - they carry a wonderful herb mixture that is some kind of blend of echinacea, zinc, black tea root (?), Vitamin C, and a couple of other items; billed as an Anti-oxidant supplement. All I know is that one year I had a long lasting cold, and nothing seemed to help it. I went here and someone advised me to take this; perhaps it was all psychosomatic, but my cold went away the next day. And every year I stock up on these and take them regularly at the first sign of a cold, and it really seems to lessen the effect or stop the cold completely. The new store on Addison St. in Elmhurst is really beautiful. They have fresh produce and a huge selection of everything. Their sale ad lasts for 2 months so that is really convenient. This is a smaller Fruitful Yield Store so you may not find everything you find in one of the larger stores. However, the staff is always friendly, helpful and seem to be well informed. If they don't have something you are looking for and have the ability to order it for you, they will do so happily. And, as soon as it is in they will call to let you know. In addition, their prices are discounted as compared to big box natural/organic retailers. They have a discount program as well so that after you spend a certain amount you receive a $5 discount. Also to be noted is that you can get in and out quickly without waiting in long lines because their store is always staffed. read more

Fruitful Yield occupies a favorite niche in our weekly grocery trips - a lot of great, innovative food you won't find in any other grocery store (and believe me, we've looked...). We especially enjoy the wide selection of gluten-free products - from English muffins to quinoa pasta (and even Oreo look-a-likes). Very friendly staff is eager to help you navigate the many vitamins, supplements, and homeopathic treatments. I had no idea this store existed until I was looking online for a place to buy organic coconut oil in the area. What a nice find! The staff were very friendly and helpful. I spent almost an hour in there looking at all of the products (mostly because I'm a health newbie and I was reading up on 1/2 of the nutritional labels in the store). They have a lot to offer in that tiny store: vitamins, supplements, natural oils, organic fruits and veggies, frozen goods, healthy groceries, etc. They even have an entire shelf of gluten-free products. I also think that they have fairly decent prices. For example, I saw a bottle of Heritage Rosewater there that I had previously bought on Amazon for double the price. However, I'm not sure how their groceries compare to places like Trader Joe's or Whole Foods. Either way, I know that this is the first place I will turn to for all of my natural/homeopathic remedies and organic/healthy food needs. read more

Nice little store with very helpful employees. They're very knowledgeable about the items they sell and offer advice when needed. Kind of expensive, but these kinds of supplements, organic items, and homeopathic meds are always quite pricey. They have a website if you want to see the types of products they sell. Magnificent alternative option with all natural selections. The service is wonderful. I am not exactly target demographic but walking in for an all natural gout relief as well as sleeping and blood pressure assistance, I expected that look down the proverbial nose as this beer-swilling, near red-neck walked in looking for more than just what the pharm companies shove down our gullet.. However, I was absolutely wrong. The folks took the time to not only point in the right direction but explain the benefits of each of their recommendations. I didn't even know there was a location here until we stumbled upon it when we were walking around visiting other shops! I would compare Fruitful Yield to a much smaller Whole Foods, and a little cheaper. If you're looking for some organic/gluten free/ homeopathic goods, this is the place to go. The service is always friendly and helpful as well. This location is a little bigger than the one in Schaumburg - they have a whole grocery section that is set apart from the home/body goods. Very nice place, I would definitely recommend it if you are looking for something different that you can't find at other places. read more
