This was our first time at this establishment. First, they DO NOT offer military discount. The food to me was fair at best. The kimchi was not fresh and tasted bottled. The shrimp tempura was battered shrimp and was undercooked. The spicy pork was fair but I have had better at other restaurants in town. The avocado smoothie tasted very artificial. This location and clean. The service was good and fast. This location appears to be popular for the drinks based on the number of people who came in for drinks only. There was only one other person who ate there in the time we were there. My 3 star rating is for the food and not the drinks. read more

They sell Korean food at this restaurant not just smoothies, which from the name you would never know! I haven't tried to food yet, but it looks pretty good! They have a very extensive smoothie menu, with lots of flavor options. They also have different flavor "popping" boba not just the standard tapioca. I have only gotten Thai tea from here, and I really enjoy it. I love that it's served as a slushee. They even have coffee based smoothies on their menu so there is something for everyone. I've gotten my toddler a smoothie once, and it was very tasty. Because of Covid I have been standing behind the counter so I can't watch them make the drinks, but the smoothie tasted like it was made with whole fruit and not purées. First time trying their smoothies. Delicious and made with fresh fruit! IMO they are a little heavy on the cream and sweetener. Their boba is cooked for too long and is quite soft. They can take phone orders but only for food, not smoothies. Just outside JBER, I'll be coming back again. read more

I ordered chicken teriyaki with fries and chicken noodle mild ramen. They mistaken my order twice. The first order I received was chicken nuggets with fries. Went back to correct it but just to get chicken teriyaki burgers this time with no fries. Then I had to wait another plus 10 min all in total I waited there 30 plus min. The name is super distracting because it's not just smoothies and fruit, they have a Korean bbq kind of vibe when you come in to order. All of their food is well cooked and it's a super easy and quick place to come grab food and take it to go. Definitely would recommend. read more

I didn't believe it when my coworker told me they had the best bulgogi in Anchorage, but now I'm a believer! For Taste, portion and price I give them 5 stars! It's an unsuspecting restaurant nuzzled in between subway and Kenny's in the tikahtnu commons. $13.50 gets you a plate of pork chicken or beef bulgogi & a healthy portion of white rice! They have specials on specific days like Wednesday their special was $12.50 for spicy beef bulgogi so $1 off the regular menu price. Also tried their dumplings and they had a different name for it but the sauce that came with it was very good and complimented the dumplings nicely. The shop is pretty small so on winter days you can't hide from the rush of cold air that comes in when someone enters the restaurant. I do have to add that their boba (tapioca balls) are subpar. Get A cup of iced black tea with boba!!! Very delicious!! My husband thought it was too sweet but was perfect for me. Just had to wait for the ice to melt a little. I tried having bulgogi and chicken katsu here before and it is not too bad for a quick lunch grab. I would come back again. Love the smoothies here! They use actual fruit in their smoothies, so they're more natural and healthy than most other options in Anchorage, and they taste absolutely delicious! I wish they had a smaller cup size though. They only have two sizes, and the regular feels more like a large in my opinion. The only thing I would change about Fruitland is having the option to purchase a smaller serving for a slightly lower price, since the smoothies are a bit pricey. read more

Moved from Wasilla to Anchorage and the Wasilla Fruitland IS THE best! Tried Fruitland in Muldoon and was THE worst! I ordered a large power twist yogurt style w double boba, it had 0 flavor, tasted like nothing but ice, paid for a large and the lady gave the size of a medium not even filled up, bobas not cooked right and wouldn't even go through my straw! Ended up having to take off lid!!! 2 other people ordered behind me and they got their smoothies first. They had NO waiting kids and I had 2 waiting younger kids age 5 and 8 all while trying to "social distance". Unprofessional, horrible service, you don't get what you pay for, and they clearly don't know how to make their smoothies. I'll never be back. And I will never refer anyone to go there!!! read more

This is my favorite smoothie place! Whenever I drive near this place, I HAVE to stop and get myself a smoothie. I've never had any of their food, so I can't attest to that, but their smoothies are so yummy! My personal favorites are Mango Mania & Ginseng Power, but honestly, I've never tried a smoothie I haven't liked yet. All of their smoothies are healthy, tasty, and refreshing. Some say the prices are a little expensive, about $4-$6 depending on size, but I feel they're worth it and these smoothies will satisfy your hunger. Try one for yourself! read more

We came in here the other day to get my kid a smoothie before we sat down for dinner next door (Kenny's Kitchen) and when I saw they also served bulgogi I told my husband we need to eat here next time. When we lived in England we ate at a Korean restaurant named Kim's Bulgogi and it was THE BEST food in England. So I was really excited to have bulgogi here in Anchorage. Unfortunately it was not up to par with Kim's or any other restaurant around here for that matter. We wish we had just walked next door to Kenny's instead and pay half the price of what we paid at Fruitland. Maybe it was our fault for thinking Asian food would be a good choice at a smoothie shop. My husband's food looked like dog food. He even made the comment that he wouldn't even feel right feeding it to our dogs; he said "Annie I love you too much, I can't give you this." He ordered the jumbo combination and he got 1 frozen shrimp, a handful of dried pieces of fatty chicken that had no flavor, and some cut of meat that he is unsure of where it came from. He says "I hunt, I cut up animals, and I don't even know where this came from." Plus, the vegetables were from a bag in the freezer section at a grocery store. My food was mediocre; I got spicy chicken bulgogi and it was just OK, a small portion of chicken with a large portion of rice--ratios aren't right. This food was most certainly wasted calories. Lastly, I'm not sure what to say about service. One lady was friendly and complimented my kid, but the other lady just seemed annoyed with us. I didn't have my glasses on so I couldn't read the menu, I grabbed a to-go menu to read it better and I stood off to the side to make it known I was still trying to figure out what I wanted. Apparently during this time, according to my husband, the not-as-nice lady kept asking "can I help you" over and over and over again. My husband tried several times to tell her that we weren't ready. I didn't even hear her once. Clearly I can't hear or see well. The noise in that place is, well, loud. I couldn't hear a single thing unless I was right in the person's face. Several blenders were going and noise was coming from the back. It's hard to have good customer service when there is chaos going on around you and you're talking like you're in a library. I feel terrible because I'm the one who chose the place because I wanted bulgogi, but it just made my husband even more hangry than he was before we ordered. To top it off, the prices are outrageous. Almost forty bucks for two meals and two smoothies. On the plus side, the smoothies are good. But I probably won't be able to order the smoothies again after I post this review. read more

For a smoothie place I think Fruitland is great. For a boba place it definitely misses the mark. I wish they would incorporate a larger variety of boba items into their menu. Oh how I long for a Lollicup or a Quicklys! The variety of smoothies is great. You can even add supplements and what not. Great for a nice sunny day or a healthier alternative to satisfy your sweet cravings. The new location in the Tikatnu plazas even offers some food menu items. I love this location because I can have not only smoothies but also awesome Korean food! Food is not salty nor greasy so I don't feel bloated after eating. I can tell that they use fresh meat and ingredients. My favorite smoothies are ginseng and runner shot. Smoothies are wonderful but thats what they should have stuck with.. I would have given them 4 stars but i actually took one away due to them trying to serve food other than smoothies.
