Smoothie Menu

First time trying their smoothies. Delicious and made with fresh fruit! IMO they are a little heavy on the cream and sweetener. Their boba is cooked for too long and is quite soft. They can take phone orders but only for food, not smoothies. Just outside JBER, I'll be coming back again.

Spicy beef bulgogi

I didn't believe it when my coworker told me they had the best bulgogi in Anchorage, but now I'm a believer! For Taste, portion and price I give them 5 stars! It's an unsuspecting restaurant nuzzled in between subway and Kenny's in the tikahtnu commons. $13.50 gets you a plate of pork chicken or beef bulgogi & a healthy portion of white rice! They have specials on specific days like Wednesday their special was $12.50 for spicy beef bulgogi so $1 off the regular menu price. Also tried their dumplings and they had a different name for it but the sauce that came with it was very good and complimented the dumplings nicely. The shop is pretty small so on winter days you can't hide from the rush of cold air that comes in when someone enters the restaurant. I do have to add that their boba (tapioca balls) are subpar. I'll stick to benjis for my bubble tea fix.

Get A cup of iced black tea with boba!!! Very delicious!! My husband thought it was too sweet but was perfect for me. Just had to wait for the ice to melt a little. I tried having bulgogi and chicken katsu here before and it is not too bad for a quick lunch grab. I would come back again. If you're a korean, the owner lady can give you a side of kimchi for "service". Just ask. Good locally owned place.

Boba smoothies

Super amazing i love boba and anytime i come here they always have a variety of options and I'm never dissatisfied

Supposed to be a large yogurt power twist smoothie with double boba.

Moved from Wasilla to Anchorage and the Wasilla Fruitland IS THE best! Tried Fruitland in Muldoon and was THE worst! I ordered a large power twist yogurt style w double boba, it had 0 flavor, tasted like nothing but ice, paid for a large and the lady gave the size of a medium not even filled up, bobas not cooked right and wouldn't even go through my straw! Ended up having to take off lid!!! 2 other people ordered behind me and they got their smoothies first. They had NO waiting kids and I had 2 waiting younger kids age 5 and 8 all while trying to "social distance". Unprofessional, horrible service, you don't get what you pay for, and they clearly don't know how to make their smoothies. I'll never be back. And I will never refer anyone to go there!!!

I was looking for healthier options for lunch while doing my best to keep my New Year's resolution…read morealthough this may not last long when the pizza or Mexican food cravings kick in. Organic Oasis is located on Spenard Rd. and W. 26th Ave. in a strip mall next to Video Game Depot. The interior dining room is open and spaciously laid out. A stage is set up in one corner of the dining area for live music or open mic nights and is one of several places hosting Spenard Jazz Fest this year. Shelves decorated with antiques for sale as well as artwork and crafts from local artists adorn the entire wall next to the stage. The employees were busy but friendly and greeted me when I walked in. I had just finished a workout earlier before arriving and decided to try one of their Power Smoothies on a whim. I chose the Sea Foam Smoothie with the Moon Mix (green papaya powder, flax seed, chicory, pectin, rice bran, calcium, magnesium, calcium, and L. acidophilus with 72 ionic trace minerals extracted from sea water....sounds very healthy to me!) that promotes cleansing, clarity and weight loss as the health benefits. Not knowing what to expect from such an eclectic list of ingredients, the smoothie itself was delicious and refreshing after the first sip. It certainly lives up to its name as the Sea Foam by its appearance (I think kale was one of the ingredients I missed due to the color). I had the Peanut Butter Conspiracy in a previous visit (peanut butter, banana, apple juice, and spirulina) which was also very good. I can't help but think that the owners are vinyl collectors of classic rock. On a side note, Peanut Butter Conspiracy was the name of a psychedelic pop rock band from the late 60's. Smoothies aside, the food here is also worth trying out. Some of the dishes I had on previous visits include the Lamb Burger (Australian lamb, red onion, lettuce, tomato, feta, Swiss cheese and tomatoes), the Chopped Chicken Salad (tomato, bell peppers, cucumbers, red onions, and sunflower seeds), the Roasted Brussels Sprouts with chipotle sauce, and the Bacon Beef Bleu Burger (organic grass fed beef, avocado, bleu cheese, lettuce, red onions, tomato, mayo, and uncured turkey bacon). They offer delivery through DoorDash and a website to order online for pick-up. This is a good option for healthy meals but we'll see if I can actually stick to my New Year's resolution.

We were visiting the University of Alaska Anchorage June 26th and needed lunch before heading out…read moreof town. Organic Oasis had some great reviews and the two in my party were semi-vegetarians. There were 6 other people in the room. The menu was well laid out and had great options for the meat challenged. We ordered our lunch at 1130. We were served water and then we waited... and waited. At 1230, we debated on leaving when I finally asked the hostess if she knew how much longer it would be, her response was curt and short, "they just started it." We thought it was odd that with so few in the room, the meal was just started nearly an hour after ordering. At 1250 the meal arrived. We had ordered the protein plate, a Thai salad and a turkey sandwich. The protein plate had an unseasoned burger patty that was crispy on the outside and raw on the inside and the steamed vegetables were barely cooked with the carrots still having the peels on them, the Thai plate had zero sauce. The turkey sandwich was exceptional, I opted for no cheese and added avocado. At 115, I went to the counter and the hostess looked very weary and asked what I wanted when the phone rang. She picked it up and immediately hung it back up without answering, then took the receiver off the phone. I said I would like to pay my bill. At this point, the hostess turned to the waiter who had been waiting on us saying, "these are yours." Three meals, only the sandwich was edible, came to $75. Wow. We were hoping that someone was just having a bad day, but seeing other reviews, our experience was similar to others. Will not be going back.

Acai Alaska is located in a small trailer/food truck that sits atop a hill on the corner of Brandon St. and Old Seward Highway directly across from Southside Grill. There are new owners who have taken over from the original who operated at a strip mall off of Lake Otis and Dowling several years ago. The employees are super friendly and easy to converse with. The menu hasn't changed much although some of the food items like Musubi and almost all of the sandwich selections except the Grilled Cheese and Grilled Cheese with Ham are no longer available. There is a drive-thru window on one side where you can place your order. I ordered the Mauna Kea Bowl (topped with bananas, blueberries, strawberries, macadamia nuts, walnuts, chocolate-covered almonds, granola with raisins, and coconut shavings) on the Nutty Heaven base (Acai berries, bananas, strawberries, and peanut butter). The ingredients were fresh, filling, and made to order so expect to wait several minutes if there are a line of cars. However, it is worth the wait and easily a delicious healthy alternative for lunch and not just a snack. Other items on the menu include the Tiger Shark (blackberries, kiwi, raspberries, walnuts, almonds, goji berries, bee pollen, chia, and a variety of seeds that includes pumpkin, sunflower, flax, and hemp seeds), the Bonsai (kiwi, chocolate-covered Acai/blueberry, macadamia nuts, and spirulina) with a unique color combination once the ingredients are blended together, the Sleeping Lady Smoothie (Acai blend topped with mango and shredded coconut), and the Fireweed Smoothie (Acai blend topped with acerola and goji berries). Punch cards are offered for return visits. Buy nine bowls, get the tenth one for free. This place is a good option for those who want a healthier meal or a post-workout smoothie that offers a mix of healthy carbs and protein.

Service was quick & friendly. The trailer has one window for ordering & another for pick up. It truly was starting to feel like summer until our little mid March snow dump, but these açaí bowls will help keep your sunny spirits up. With 3 bases & 10 signature bowls to choose from there's certainly something for everyone! They also have smoothies & a cafe menu available as well. The blends are all dairy free & there's no added sugars. On this visit I ordered a 16oz MOFO bowl (blackberries, kiwi, mango, raspberries, strawberries, chocolate covered açaí & blueberries, granola with raisins & almonds, coconut shavings & I added a honey drizzle) with the original açaí blend. For my son I got the 16 oz Hawaiian blend smoothie. I love these smoothies for kids because all the sugar comes from the fruit. Go check this trailer out to get yourself a nice healthy treat!
