Food is ok after a glacier hiking. They really need to improve service and English listening though...people have to repeat instructions several times

Tofu stew, Kim bop, seafood pancake, galbi lunch box, and tteokbokki with noodles.

The food and service is great every time my family and I go plus the lady's who work there are so attentive even if they have a full house and always on top of refilling anything we need or if we choose to add something else. We try to go at least once or twice a month, or more if we can afford it.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I love Korean Garden. It's clean and comfortable with friendly staff.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food arrives quickly even when it's busy. For lunch I enjoy the spicy pork box which comes with rice, vegetables, and soup. The portion sizes are generous and I always have leftovers. For dinner I like the dolsot bibimbap. The banchan are always tasty too. I love the cinnamon tea they serve after your meal but unfortunately they don't always have it in my experience. With plenty of Korean restaurants in Anchorage, I find Korean Garden is one of the most consistent with food and service quality.

Felt eating K-drama food then this is the place to go to. Authentic taste if you know the real one.

Fast and friendly service! Clean and open seating.. I was craving kimchi and some tkeokbokki reeeal bad and so this place did not disappoint! Craving satisfied and the hot sake to top it all off was the cherry on top. They are open on Mondays now!

Soft tofu soup with seafood.

WoW! ...just wow. Way better than I thought it would be. Had the seafood soup and it's the bomb. I'm definitely coming back!

We found Korean Garden Restaurant by happenstance we were at a business next door and had any breakfast. I found my Tofu/Seafood Soup and my companion found her favorite Bibimbap. Very authentic restaurant, many of the locals frequent the business. I loved the friendliness and great side dishes. Definitely a go to place if you are in Anchorage AK.

The goal was to finally go hard and try a Korean restaurant and I'm glad we did. This place is not inexpensive so buyer beware; however, you do get a lot of food for what you pay. I can now officially say I like kimchi. Please try the kimchi pancake appetizer, so good, comes with some sauce and that was probably my favorite thing. The cinnamon tea at the end of our meal was a very nice touch. This place is clean and cozy with a peaceful atmosphere and kind, thoughtful service.

We ordered some grilled chicken and seafood tofu soup. The seafood was so fresh and it was tasty and piping hot. The food and service here is 5/5 in my book. Highly recommended.

Loved it, little pricey and the timing is a little of for a small group but if you're with a larger group and want to eat Korean food in Korean style it heads the head on the nail! Food was fantastic beer menu a little lacking but would definitely return!

I absolutely love this spot. This place was recommended to me by a friend and it didn't disappoint. You must try if you like Korean bbq. Just be aware this is not the cook your food on the grill at your table spot. The sauce in this picture is just drinkable. I took it home to eat with rice. Lol. Just go get some Korean bbq

Food was great, server took time to break our group ticket to individual tickets. We came in with a large group and were quick to serve us.

Banchan is solid as well FOOD: Kalbi (7/10) - Sauce here is really good and the meat is tender, but do think the hot plate could be a bit hotter so the meat crisps up a bit more. Tteokboki (7/10) - Again, good sauce and fillings but the portion is actually pretty small. Not many rice cake inside.

Unfortunately our go to place was closed for vacation, which gave us the chance to try the one we hadn't been. It was fine, but we definitely won't be going back. The menu grossly overpriced given the ambiance, portion size and presentation. The thing i found really offensive the menu indicates was banchan refills cost $5. And when I saw the mealy selection- 6 sad, tiny selections.... yikes. Compared that to the 13 beautiful varieties I get at WonJo and there reason for us to come back. They also don't have a foyer and it was freezing inside. The server was very pleasant and attentive. My goat and Perilla soup was good- the broth was excellent. I dont think anywhere else in Amchorage makes this, so that was probably the thing I appreciated the most. 3.5. I just couldn't give them a 5 when a bowl of single serving soup costs $30 with such dinky Banchan. It's against Korean culture. Nope.

Always look at newest reviews!!!…read more We saw the 4.4 red stars and thought this was gona be an amazing place. The first red flag was 1pm on week day and there was only 3 parties in the place. The one and only server was very nice, but being the only one, twice when new parties entered he would walk away. Wife ordered chicken katsu rice plate. The overall theme is everything is bland. EVERYTHING.. Her cabbage slaw/salad had a white creamy sauce, my best guess is mayo mixed with ranch but only if both was every kind of free there is, fat, sugar, carb, keto, and most importantly, taste FREE. Her rice was purple, there were purple chunks, not sure if it was potato, the rice was mushy, wet, and Bland. Her kutsu sauce was made from the same everything free ingredients. Come on man, Kutsu sauce is 3 ingredients and all three are bold flavors, how do you mess that up. But ok, they want to be fusion, maybe add some cilantro or chili. She asked for soy sauce and salt to try and add some flavor. Half way through she has me hold out my hand and pours a handful of the "salt" from the shaker. It was not salt granules, almost looked like a salt substitute. I honestly don't know what it was but when I tasted it I would be extremely generous by saying I got a 25% salt flavor. Normally, you put 2-4 tablespoons of salt in your hand and lick your finger, when you taste that, you get a powerful punch in the mouth of dam, that's salty. I was dumbfounded, if they are using that "salt" to cook with them makes since why everything is so bland. I don't want to repeat the Bland Bland Bland theme over and over. I had bulgogi, kutsu, and BBQ chicken tacos. I will skip to the end- yep, you guessed it, Bland. We did have the bulgogi egg roll, I do want to touch on this only because I was so mad at myself once we left I dug Into the reviews. These are one of the most positive commented items, BUT those comments are from over a year ago. Overall, 11$ for two small egg rolls cut in half is ridiculous. Then if you bite/taste just the egg roll, there is a 5% taste of bulgogi sauce. Which again is so explosive of a sauce. But, If you drown the egg roll in the creamy mild sriracha sauce then the egg roll is ok. If you forget what it should taste like and just concentrate on how did they make the sauce with no heat, then you could get at least a 2-2.5 star. Server deserves 5 stars, Food deserves 2 stars.

I had vowed not yo return here since there are a plethora of superior ethnic grocers in Anchorage…read more However, in the process of looking for something specific I was unable to find for my husband after trying multiple stores, I was compelled to try here. As was not suprised to find this store is even more dilapidated than the last time I was there. Honestly, it looks like a front for something else... the store is super sketch and I'd think twice before eating anything edible/perishable from here. I highly doubt they worry about rotating stock ot would pass a health inspection if Anchorage bothered to do them anymore. They do have a pretty large kitchenware section (which is what I was looking for) but I was unable to locate what I needed. In general, I recommend looking elsewhere.
