Not sure why it took me so long to try Fruity Loco but it's one of my favorites in the neighborhood. For one, the acai bowls are ridiculously good, the tortas are huge and delicious, the girl who normally works the front makes my day every time I go in, and it's obviously well liked by the locals because no matter the time of day, there are always people there. I love that they don't blend their acai into a smoothie and that the amount you get is worth the money. I usually visit with my significant other and it is enough to split a large bowl or to split a torta. One suggestion...add the chipotle mayo to your torta. You will not be disappointed. Yum!!! Person who helped us (I didn't catch her name) was extremely friendly while our group was just chillin'. First time here and it was delicious. I ordered a ham torta and strawberry agua fresca. The torta was very fulfilling and tasty. They added chipotle sauce to add more flavor and I enjoyed every bite. So my first impression of this place is that it is a tad expensive. But when I thought about, it's worth it. The food is fresh, the customer service is always really good, and they have a wide variety. They never give attitude when you're being picky (like I am most of the time). The ladies at the front are always friendly and smile. This is a big change from the last man that ran the shop. If I could give zero stars, I would. But, I can't. And, the young girl taking our order was actually pretty nice. I come in, order 2 acai bowls. 1 with NO coconut. Man comes over, he makes it, both with coconut. Young lady gives them to us, my mom says, I'm sorry, my daughter is actually really allergic to coconut. Lady apologizes, says they will make another. Man scrapes off coconut shavings. Gives it to me. Still has coconut shavings. I take it back to the counter, man says "yeah there's still ONE in there." I repeat what my mom said, I'm very allergic, it can't just be scraped off. My throat will close. He proceeds to make another WHILE MAKING COMMENTS AND TALKING SHIT ABOUT ME. He's literally less than 6 ft from me, I can hear every snide comment. I'm sorry, what did I do? I ordered it correctly, you didn't read the ticket that the girl had written no coconut on. Then you're made aware that it's an allergy and you proceed to scrape off said coconut like that is going to be okay. THEN you're an asshole when asked to remake it. We honestly should have asked for our money back and walked out but lunch breaks are short and I didn't have time to go somewhere else after all of this. Was the acai bowl good? Yes. But the guy in charge/owner/man who I dealt with was someone I never want to do business with again. This used to be a very nice place. The owner was polite and tried to pleased the costumers. I have been coming here for the past 2 years and never have they ever mistreated us. I usually take my kids after school and this time I took my nephews as well. The girl helping us was rude and annoyed because my nephews wanted to taste some of the different flavors. And then when I asked her why was the other ice cream a dollar more expensive she said she didn't know that she only worked here mind you she was full of attitude. I used to spend at least 30 every week. I guess I will look for another place that has better costumer service read more

This place is really good and has very good prices but I went in today (4-19-19) and the cashier tried charging me 24$ for a strawberry mango smoothie and an açaí smoothie, that's two smoothies and they "cost" 4.99. I just told her to cancel the açaí smoothie and she really wrote it on paper that I cancelled the açaí smoothie that equal my grand total to be 25$. I think she might have spaced out or something. once she cancelled the açaí smoothie it was 5.49 for the strawberry mango smoothie. read more

Orange juice is delicious but 30% more expensive than Jamba Juice. Also the the spoon for the ice cream we got is so soft. It is hard to eat and to enjoy the ice cream. I forgot to ask for my credit card receipt and they never asked. Hopefully they are not charging customer extras for credit card transaction. read more

First time here. Honestly wasn't impressed. The owner(?) was outside cutting wood with a saw right as I was passing by. Wood dust everywhere. I figured that was a first bad impression but I'll let it slide. Once I got in the lady who was slicing lemons didn't acknowledge me. I had to get her attention. I asked her why it was $1 more getting Tostilocos in a box vs in the bag. She had no clue what I was talking about so I pointed to her sign. Then she waited for the owner to come in. He said it's because the plate had more so, okay, far enough. I went ahead and ordered the plate with no cueritos. I had more questions about his menu but he walked away from me while I was talking. It was just a whole bunch of awkward and I didn't appreciate the customer service. The owner was yelling at the guy who was helping him as I was walking out the door too. All that being said I probably wouldn't go back. The taste of the tostilocos was pretty good but I hated how big the fruit was cut up.
