3080 Marlow Rd Santa Rosa, CA 95403 Delicious ice cream and fast friendly service! My job had me up in Santa Rosa in the Piner Rd & Marlow Rd area. It was a warm day, so I decided to get on my Yelp App and search for: "Frozen Yogurt & Ice Cream near me." "Fruta" popped up as being 0.2 miles away. I went to go find this place. Well, the place had a long line as expected. But the two hard working servers got the line down in 5 mins. The young lady was very polite. She carefully listened as I asked for a scoop of Coconut ice cream and a scoop of chocolate. She offered me regular chocolate or italian chocolate. I went with the italian chocolate. Mmmm, good ice cream! The chocolate was dense and slightly grainy. A rich flavor, but not too sweet. The coconut ice cream tasted just like fresh coconut. It had shredded coconut in the mix, and it blended well with the creamy ice cream. I took my ice cream to go, but they have tables inside. Very nice place, I will be back. read more

Wow! Delicious lime sorbet! Waffle bowl crunchy and tasteful! There's smoothies, aguas frescas, paletas with 38 flavors to choose from, ice cream, yogurt. Sweet and kind server with a welcoming smile. She immediately offered samples of the flavors of sorbet I wanted. I really liked the chair designs. Bamboo like backs and seats with contemporary design. Cashier was telling a story to her coworker and wasn't paying attention to my order and I asked for a fork she said ok continued her story and completely ignored me I asked her again after she went to the back and I was waiting there and still never got a fork horrible customer service I won't be going here anymore read more

I like going to frutas, tonight I stayed in the car and my husband went in with my 10 year old daughter. The music they were playing for a family location was unacceptable. When they came in a song with foul language was playing my husband looked it up and it is called Went Legit by G Herbo. My husband stated the songs that followed were worse, please don't play this type of music in a family business, we take our children to your establishment. read more

Second time I go to this location, both times I felt unwelcome, the second time I went in about 20 mins before they closed and they didn't want me there, very rude ! One of them was mopping and didn't let me go see what flavors they had on the other side since she had already mopped.. she had already closed the area. 20 mins before! That's ridiculous. I understand they probably wanted to go home.. but that was very unprofessional ..! They never seem happy to be there.. and felt rushed outta there .. worse experience !! I'm a regular at this spot and there's usually a line, which says a lot! But sometimes you get lucky and walk right in. What I love is that they always greet me with a smile, making it feel like a welcoming spot. Even when they're busy, they get my order out super fast. Seriously you gotta check this place out! While Fru-ta didn't provide a best-in-class Mangonada experience there is no denying that the experience it provided was tasty. If you come to Fru-ta for a Mangonada ($7.25) there are a couple of things you should be aware of: First, be aware that you may be sidelined with the possibility of ordering something other than what you came for. They had so very many Paletas and so many that featured ingredients similar to a Mangonada that I struggled briefly over the healthier choice before indulging my darker and more caloric impulses. Ice cream and Bionicos were additional contenders. Secondly, be aware that this Mangonada is one messy indulgence. I was wearing white and within the first spoonful, experienced full-on regret. The way they top-loaded the cup with Chamoy Sauce and mango meant that getting a taste of all ingredients at once was near impossible. I attempted to do so and got it all over myself instead. This particular version would be more efficient if served in a bowl. Would any of this stop me from a return visit to the clean and orderly Fru-ta? Nope. Fru-ta makes a good, messy Mangonada. Dress accordingly and grab a handful of napkins. read more

Heard about Fru-ta and decided to stop in for an ice cream. They make fresh fruit smoothies (hence the name) but also have a large selection of ice cream along with frozen yogurt. I had a scoop of coffee ice cream and it was very good - all their ice cream is locally made in Petaluma. Great place to grab something on a warm afternoon to cool you off and satisfy your sugar/carb/fruit craving. read more

This was my first time trying the fresh mango chamoy with mango sorbet. So bomb! Sweet and savory all in one. So mouthwatering. The little candy pieces and dash of tajin made this delicious treat so much more. They put so much fresh mango in it too. The store was clean and observed covid protocols. It was much needed in this 100 degree weather. Next time I want to try the different popsicles. There must have been at least 40 kinds! Home made ice cream, fruit bars, fresh fruit cups, drinks and more. Pretty much everything on the menu is absolutely amazing! Tasty and fresh! I would give them a glowing 5 star review but the menu is in Spanish and the woman working only spoke Spanish. The menu items were not something we could Google with ease. The menu was posted on a TV display with rotating images of speciality menu items. We wanted to order one of the speciality items but didn't know what it was called so we gained the staffs attention and awkwardly waited for the slide show to go around so we could point out what we wanted. The service was great and the store front was clean but the communication was not ideal. I would have loved to understand the ingredients of what I ordered before I ordered it but it was tasty so okay. I'll be back again but will probably stick to the basics next time. read more

I've been to almost all locations of Fruta in SR with great food/service, but this is probably 3-4 time that I go to the Marlow location and the food is great but the girls that work their are extremely rude. They roll their eyes at you when you correct them on a honest mistake. Even if you tell them nicely. They are really stuck up and are very unwelcoming. read more

We came for the ice cream but would return for the paletas! Loved all of the paletas we tried - especially the cookies and cream, pistachio, and pineapple. They were perfectly sweet and refreshing and had just the right amount of flavor. The fruit bars had real chunks of fruit! I simply love this place. I'll be calling ahead and picking up my favorite sweet treats: mangonada, coconut pineapple ice cream, cookies n cream ice cream (which is not your typical cookies n cream - I can't describe it but it's the vanilla and cookie chunks, I'm hooked) and the paletas! I love that they have a booth right now so when you call ahead and pick up your order you can pay super quick and get your fix while limiting contact with others. Every time we come here the workers are rude and rush you. I ordered 4 ice cream bars and was missing 2 bars. They wrap them in foil so I didn't realize it until I was home. They turn off their lights and make it dim by 8PM hoping people stop coming in. Will find a new place. read more

I'm really disappointed at this place... I was craving a mango cocktail, the mango was really green with no flavor. I couldn't even bite it! I told the staff why I couldn't eat it, if I could please exchange it for something else. The girls rudely replied "you have to pay for something else, we don't exchange anything" I got the impression of money hungry business they obviously don't care of guaranteed customer satisfaction. Never again will I come back. I told them to keep my mango cocktail so they grabbed it and threw it in the garbage. read more

There was only one person behind the counter when I arrived and a large family ordering and one other family ahead of me. The woman behind the counter was doing her best, helping everyone as fast as she could, the wait I didn't have an issue with. I am concerned that between customers and handling money she didn't wash her hands at all. Money touches so much bacteria, I feel it's important for there to be practices in place, even if your busy, to maintain sanitary practices. read more

I want to start off by saying the other locations I've been to have been great! But this location...not so much. It isn't the food it's the employees. They aren't friendly at all. Also every time I ask for something they do the complete opposite of to the max. For example, when I would get tostilocos I'd ask for LESS cueritos and I swear I got a big container FULL of 90% cueritos (not an exaggeration.) this happened multiple times so I stopped ordering them. Today I got an esquite and asked for a little more Chile, i swear it's like if I asked to not put much on there. It's like they do it cause they can, to annoy you or I don't know. read more

No complaints about service or product. Went there on opening week and the floors were filthy, wish trash everwhere. Fru-ta is always well staffed, how about sending an employee to clean floors and pick up gargabe and keep location spotless. I visit mission location and have never seen it dirty. The mango had chunks of fresh mango and the lemon lime swirl you could taste the distinct flavors. My husband had a couple scoops of jamoca almond fudge and agrees on the taste. They make the ice cream by scratch. They also have a coffee bar inside too. Again not a lot of choices but I had the London Fog tea and it was good. I wish they had sleeves for the cups.

Waited in the lobby for a while for them to finish their conversation before one came out to get me my order from their fridge/freezer beneath the counter. It was already inside a plastic bag, which was a little strange to me, and prompted me to ask if a spoon had been put inside. Seemed it would make sense for that to be standard practice for to go ice cream orders, but I'm glad I checked! Lady behind the counter said no and retrieved one. Opened the bag in the car to find the ice cream had been melted (perhaps left out on the counter?) to a soupy consistency, tipped on its side when put in the freezer, and refrozen partially in the lid. When I got to work at 1:20, it had completely melted back into a liquid, soup-like consistency again. At least it was no longer in the lid, I guess? When I opened it to try to eat it, I found I'd been given the wrong flavor (seemed to be cake batter flavor). The add ins hadn't been cut up very well, and were either smashed flakes or giant chunks the size of my finger. Ended up just throwing the whole thing out, which was really disappointing for something I'd just spent $10-something on (and tipped 15%). Grew up with coldstone as a special occasions treat, but will not be back again.

The coup de cour with blueberries was the most interesting I'd say. I really liked the balance between the fruit and the chocolate in the center. It wasn't too sweet which was great. The one thing I haven't tried are the actual loaves of bread. I grab too many pastries when I've gone, but I'll make sure not to get distracted the next time.

I have been to 40+ frozen yogurt shops in the Bay Area region, and this is the first time I've seen covered cold trays of toppings. I tried some, and it makes a big difference to have cold toppings on your frozen yogurt. Go try it! The price per ounce is only 71 cents! That's a fair price for frozen yogurt. It was great that the cashier knew the price without looking it up. Yogurt Time is in a small plaza at the corner of Mark West Springs Rd & Old Redwood Highway. Exit Hwy 101, go East pass the hospital, and the plaza is on the right. There's a shared parking lot. Yogurt Time is a pay by weight, self-serve fro-yo shop.
