Disappointed I've tried this place 1 other time had mango loco which was really good but Went in this past weekend to finally try there strawberries and cream and sadly was disappointed. I first had their food at a different location in Mesa. The costume service of this place compared is so much worse than the one in Mesa, also the food portions are less than the other one. Great place to take the kids after dance class at the rec center. They were very accommodating with our kids and them not liking a certain ice cream flavor when they picked that flavor. It was terrible I seen one girl walk out of the bathroom and smoke was coming out so I went in and it smelt like marijuana I also noticed the guy that was in there had no hair net and I found a hair in my food and complained in all the food was nasty I would never go to that specific one again because of how un sanitary and rude they are the manager did not help with my food wen I went to complain and was being so rude towards me and my family. A group of us tried it for the first time and we all loved it. Most popular was the fresh strawberry with cream. I had granola & a vanilla ice cream scoop added to it. I also ordered a basket of fries. Perfectly salted and just the right amount of crispy. Others ordered an ice cream waffle bowl. Yum! Another ordered a mango drink with an ice cream scoop. He loved it! We were all surprised they have other food such as Mexican dishes. Interesting blend of menu items but everything was awesome. Even the service. Much better under the new name and ownership. The fresas con crema is very good. They will make the elote/esquite however you like it, and the corn itself is very good, unlike most establishments. The restaurant itself is very clean, and the staff is helpful and friendly. It can get a bit busy for sure, but probably because of all of the above reasons. I am a regular customer to fruitlandia. Everything is delicious, and I usually have a great experience but beware your experience will vary based off who's at the front! For example, the young lady with short hair this afternoon did not have good customer service. She was rude and not informative while we were ordering. Also, while we were waiting for our order she was rude to a customer because she messed up on their order. Once we got our order we were also let down and disappointed on how it looked. It was made very poorly and had no fresh fruit or cream as advertised in the menu. Also whether or not something is extra cost the seller should inform and not assume the buyer knows. She did not ask what size we would like or if we wanted creme(if thats extra). She was not helpful. It wasn't even busy there was us and another group eating outside. read more
