Freaking the BEST! There's a reason why they were named best food cart. The food is perfection every time. That snow cheese. Just cover anything in that and it will be devoured. The crunch on the chicken is unlike other Korean Fried Chicken (KFC) places. It's light, crispy, not greasy, and super addicting. The chicken is always juicy and tender. Frybaby has been on my list to try for a long time. This week also happened to be wing week as well. We got to try their Korean Honey Butter wing special and their wings with Snow Cheese. Also got their plum soda drink and a side of fries. The wings come with the drumette, wingette and tip which I loved. Nice big piece of fried chicken. The skin was super crispy, but the meat was juicy, tender and fall of the bone. The honey butter wing was good with some sweet and savory flavor, however, the snow cheese was amazing. My first bite I was in awe, so delicious. It went nicely with the scallion greens and the pickled radish. The fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The plum soda was refreshing and went nicely with the fried chicken. There's no on site parking, but there's street parking available which isn't too hard to find. Food came out quickly and there's outdoor seating but it's covered which is nice. You bus your own table if you are dining in but otherwise can do take out too. Overall, will definitely be coming back especially for the snow cheese wings. I think this is definitely my favorite spot for Korean Fried Chicken in Portland now. read more

We went at lunch time, during Weiner Week. This was a mistake. The wait was really long. The person taking orders seemed in the weeds and couldn't keep the orders in order, so people were getting theirs before ours. The person with us already got hers and was waiting for us, which made her dog a soggy gross mess that she didn't even finish. They seemed pretty unconcerned about any of this, and finally let customers know there was a wait for new orders (which I took to mean our not new order too). In the end we gave up. We did get our money back without much fuss, but it was disappointing and frustrating. It wasn't a great situation. That said, I won't go back because I get that food carts can get overwhelmed quickly, but this wasn't their first Weiner Week, so, you know, be ready and put orders in, you know, order. read more

I'm writing this review while the chicken is still in ma belly, it was soooo good! While I was debating between getting wings or drumsticks, they put tape over the wings on the menu, so that made the decision easy. I got the snow cheese and my dining companion got the gochujang. We also got sides--they ran out of the mashed potatoes, which we were planning to get, but I'm glad they did, cuz the drumsticks are GIGANTIC! They're more like small turkey legs, I've never seen such big drumsticks before. The chicken was fantastic--this was better than any KFC I had in Korea. Granted, I only had KFC once while I wax there, but still, it was amazingly crispy. I don't know how they achieve such crispness, it was like a thin chicharron, it just shattered so delicately in a satisfying way. The snow cheese was so tasty --it was a little savory, a little sweet. It would make a great popcorn seasoning. The gochujang was also delicious. It was not very spicy (which I appreciated), and also a little sweet. All this, plus they were HUGE! The smashed cucumbers were a perfect salty-tangy-spicy accompaniment to the chicken. We also dig the kimchi Mac & cheese, which was also good. I don't like Mac & cheese to be too creamy, and this was not. It also has more of a touch of kimchi rather than a lot of kimchi--flavors were well balanced. Chicken also comes with a small lightly dressed green salad that is green onion heavy, as well as pickled daikon. It was missing from my basket, unfortunately. I was going to go ask for it when there wasn't a line, but there was always a line! That was my only beef. Otherwise, this was a very filling and tasty meal. Omg! I got the Korean Chicken drumsticks with the spicy gochujang since and a side of kimchi mac and cheese. Now this stuff is finger licking good. The doubled fried chicken has such a perfectly crispy texture, the chicken itself was not too oily and the sauce just puts it over the top. The Kimchi is mixed in with the Mac and cheese sauce and sprinkled with furikaki flakes to take it to the next level of crunchy and cheesy. Easily one of my favorite comfort foods. The staff is super nice and you can ask them for their recommendations. I wanted to try the lime and sesame coleslaw but I'll save that for next time as they recommended the Mac and cheese over it. They give you wet naps and plastic liner gloves to each the chicken but I find it kind of strange to eat fried chicken with plastic liner gloves. The whole point of eating this is with your hands and lick your fingers. It's more of an experience that way. I did use the wet wipes later to clean my hands which was much appreciated. They are a food cart located in Lil' America food carts right next to Fracture Brewing. Plenty of places to sit down and there was also a DJ that comes out on Thursday's to play some house music. The ambience is what you expect for a food cart pod but it's a great spot to people watch and dog watch. So many cute doggos there and beers or mixed drinks from Fracture makes it a great location.
