Although it was busy that day, the service was very attentive and the Rachel sandwich feature that I had was very tasty. They also have an extensive wine and beer list in the craft cocktail. I had was very enjoyable. The view of the lake is incredible from your table and I would highly recommend coming back to try in the future. Thanks for a great experience!

At dinner time, get here early. You definitely want a table in the back to look out over the lake…read more It's a really pretty view. Unfortunately tonight I didn't get here early enough so I sat out by the bar, which is absolutely fine. I started with a French onion soup, which I normally do when I'm here, tonight it was a little less oniony than it usually is, but that just could simply be a function of whoever was ladling it up. It's still absolutely delicious. For dinner, I had the chicken piccata with a baked potato and steamed green beans. The steamed green beans are a staple while there are a variety of other sides, such as onion rings or Alfredo, etc. I was a little disappointed in the piccata this time. It was less lemony and more oily than I remember. The lemon wedge helped, but I don't think that piccata would have to need additional lemon to the sauce. The green beans also a little heavy on the butter as was the baked potato. I don't want to say that the meal wasn't flavorful, because it was and my server while really busy was an absolute gem, only that it was a little heavy with the melted butter. After many excellent experiences here, this won't turn me off to coming back again and trying something else. Especially if I can get a table in the back!

This particular location is a road side food truck carrying "fish & chips." I drove by it a couple…read moretimes before eventually stopping, each time there was at least one person ordering so I figured it had to be good. Fish options are cod, perch, walleye, and whitefish but perch was sold out at the time of my visit so I ordered the 4-piece cod. There were two people ahead of me ordering, which I took as a good sign as it was late afternoon - too late for lunch and too early for dinner. Fish and chips (aka potato wedges) are cooked to order, so there is a bit of a wait. The weather was beautiful so I took a few moments to wanders around. The others waiting for food were telling me it was the best they've had, so I was really excited when my order was up and the container was brimming with food. Service was 5 stars - the man working was so friendly and he was working really hard keeping up with orders. I was surprised there was only one person working. Food - I hate to be a downer, but it was not as amazing as I anticipated. It was very fresh and the fish by itself was terrific. However, I felt it was overly breaded and very heavy on the pepper. The chips were also fresh but overly seasoned. One order of a 4-piece was plenty for 2 people and we had quite a few leftover chips. Love the concept of a roadside Fish & Chips food truck, great service, but as a somewhat proficient fish & chips connoisseur with experience in both Wisconsin and England, it was not up to parr. (get it... parr: a juvenile trout/salmon)
