Fry's digital ad scheme is a scam. I went there today and they had a big sign stating 18 oz blueberries were on sale for $2.88 each. E catch, you have to clip a digital coupon. I was standing there trying to clip it, when a woman walked up to me and asked if I was having trouble because she was too. I was in a hurry, so I moved on but watched her out the corner of my eye. She had gone and asked an employee for help. They stood there for a while and couldn't figure it out either. I then found cherries that also said they were on sale, but required a digital coupon. Guess what, couldn't find it. My big problem is that they seem to be jacking up the prices if you don't have the coupon. read more

This Fry's location has a ton of parking. Doesn't have a ton of stores next to it on both sides (just one side) so you can get in and out pretty easy. It's got that two entrance thing going on as most do, but I couldn't tell you which is in and which is out. I just go in the one I parked near because I'm an absolute rebel. Layout at this Fry's seems a bit- different, seems smaller and has more of an intimate Trader Joes feel which isn't always the best because this place has a ton more people, but at least the parking lot is bigger! The foot traffic in here is awkward for me, I find myself dodging people in weird places a lot of the time. Like a game of PacMan but there are no yummy dots and instead just the ghosts chasing me. Also- ordered catering takeout from the deli for a birthday party and they gave me the wrong items. Some of the items were right, but the meat and cheese tray I ordered turned into ham and cheese croissants. I didn't have time to change it out so it was what it was. Just make sure you confirm if you place a big order. Anyway as far as grocery stores go, I'm good with this Fry's and I should note the employees are always pleasant too. read more

Fry's is my regular shopping place as it's conveniently located and prices generally competitive. I might add that the staff is always friendly and helpful. Sorry, but a negative comment would be with regards to one of their managers, "Stephanie" who I found rude and belligerent hen seeking help. Very unprofessional and simply not kind or helpful. It's made me reconsider shopping here and seeking nearby shops like Albertsons and Safeway. Maybe she's was having a bad day--- I get it! This is my favorite Frys neighborhood store. It's a smaller store. They have everything I need and what's the best about it is the people people that work there are truly helpful. They're really friendly and it's a super clean store. Super safe store. The produce is fantastic. I mostly eat fresh food so that's pretty much all I know about and their prices are great. Dear Fry's I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the service I received at the Fry's Grocery Store located at Val Vista and Warner during my recent visit. On 11/12 I went to the store primarily to purchase cough medicine for my daughter, who is sick. I opted for the self-checkout lane to quickly complete my shopping. However, after scanning the cough medicine, the system prompted me to provide an ID, which I unfortunately did not have with me. When I informed the self-checkout assistant of the situation, she kindly offered to call a store manager for assistance. While I appreciated her effort, I was disheartened by the interaction that followed with the manager, Lynn. I observed her speaking to the assistant and noted that she stated, "no, he cannot." She appeared to be upset because I asked to speak with a manager. Her mind was made up at that point. When Lynn the "manager" approached me, she did not greet me and immediately began to raise her voice, stating that she could get fired for allowing me to proceed without ID. This left me feeling intimidated and disrespected because of her tone and how she was speaking to me. I was not given the chance to explain my situation or show my ID on my phone through the MVD website. Instead, she walked away, leaving me without a resolution. I have been a loyal customer at this Fry's location, shopping there twice a week and spending a significant amount of money. I believe that customers deserve to be treated with respect and professionalism, regardless of the circumstances. Lynn's behavior was not only unprofessional but also unnecessary, as I was merely asking a question and seeking a solution. I just wanted to get the opportunity to be able to provide my ID through my phone but was unable to. I hate that there are people who refuse to be respectful because of a person appearance, I am almost certain she judge me and her decision was based my race. I've been with Frys paying for wine and other alcohol without even having to provide identification, now for Lynn to make a big deal about cough medicine and to approach me in the matter she did was unprofessional. She refused us service this morning because I was walking funny due to my broken toe and claimed I was drunk. We are an interacial couple and always thinks we are stealing. Today I received a notice from US Bank that signing up online from your FrysFood website doesn't qualify me for the $100 statement credit stated in the advertisement. I won't lie, I got lost day dreaming while driving and ran across this store. I figured since I needed things from the store that I middas well go here. I've never been on this side of the tracks. The store is kind of hidden if you ask me but perhaps it's just me. It's pushed back in the lot where it's located. Upon entrance, the first thing that I noticed is that it feels really small compared to other locations. I also noticed that, I didn't see any employees which, I'm thinking, either they are very short staff orrrr they don't wear uniforms here. Odd I noticed that this store doesn't feel kept up products weren't organized, freezer doors appeared dirty and the isles weren't clean. I ran in, got my items which were the same price as other fry's stores but, I did find great deals on "MORNING STAR" products, which is a plus since I'm finishing up a "no meat" challenge. I was able to grab the"Morning star" Burgers which were yummy and hotdogs which actually taste like real hot dogs. Plant based food can be expensive but these were a steal at $3.99 a box/bag. I won't return to this location because of it's dirty vibes and lack of employees around. It was an odd experience to be honest, but each is own. Love the redecorating! Was my local grocery store when we lived nearby and now still continue to visit when in the area. Some of the cashiers and staff have been there for years. Most are helpful, can't say I've had complaints there. Aisle are usually continuously swept, produce is colorful and meat/seafood abundant and fresh. Why not 5 stars? Well, seems to be a recurring theme at all Fry's/Kroger stores: They simply don't train the baggers to bag properly! BTW: If you have not tried this Fry's sushi kiosk inside this Fry's market you've missed some honestly good sushi at a great price. The fish is always fresh, made daily and they have a good selection. The rice is not perfectly sticky, but with fresh nicely prepared sushi and sashimi and rolls they get high marks. We grab this for dinner about once a month, have for years. You could sit and eat there without much or no ambience as table seating is on the side of the produce dept. Recently moved to Gilbert from San Diego and I find this store to be awesome in every way. The employees are wonderful and very helpful, great selection in deli, meats, produce and they even have a Murray's Cheese section where you can get cheeses from all over the world. For many of the sale items you have to buy five items. That is ridiculous. I live alone and don't need five (bags of chips, pints of ice creams etc). I haven't been to the deli here for years, why? Bad service. Or extremely long wait times. Today, no one standing in line waiting on New Year's Eve morning. I walked up and the gentleman was slicing another order. He told me he would be right with me. I asked if I could just get a pound of ham and I would come back for it. He did not even let me complete my sentence and told me that he was not waiting on me until he was done and it was company policy. I walked away. I will never ever ever shop at the deli at Fry's. I'm not surprised there was no one waiting for deli meat. If this is the kind of service that is given. There is black mold growing on the ceiling right above the meat section. I informed the manager and she said she had sent emails and going to bring it up to the corporate attention and so on and so forth. My question is how long does it take for the mold to grow into this huge island on the ceiling and why nobody ever took care of this? Why is the section still open to public to shop? The Fry's location at 714 S Val Vista Dr, Gilbert, AZ 85296 is always out of 50% of what I need. Produce looks ok at first but other locations have better selection and better quality. The staff has one or two polite people but the rest are awful. Especially in Bakery, Butcher and Deli. Don't waste your time. Go to the location at Cooper and Warner or Baseline and Gilbert. read more

Returned some old peanuts that evidently were on the shelf too long. Manager acted like I was a criminal. I didn't have my receipt so we pulled it up on the app. He blamed me because I bought them August 12 and I returned them September 2. I bought 4 cans that day, I threw two cans away, and decided I would return these two, since I just opened them. He was rude, and acted like it was my fault these peanuts were rancid. Typical attitude from employees at this store. Upper management needs to find out why these people aren't trained in customer service. I've sent two complaints to corporate, but no answer from Kroger's. read more

Out of the two clerks working at the gas pump you have one sharp shaved clean looking old man who is respectful. Then you have this gold chain "retired" bum looking old man who was so rude it was beyond me. All over me asking why i couldn't just charge the card some amount instead of giving him a dollar amount. This has turned into the worst Fry's to shop at! I've been shopping here for the past 3.5 years and it has slowly gotten worst during that time. I think it is RIDICULOUS that they allow those click list shoppers to be out with those huge carts on the weekends when it is extremely busy and crowded. Today over half of the produce I needed to purchase was out, but the produce guys were chatting and organizing a fruit display. Then I waited 10 minutes to be helped at the deli counter and it took 20 minutes to get three things. There was one person in front of me. The lady working at the deli counter was slow and rather than helping me pulled out her cell phone WITH HER GLOVES ON and showed me pictures of a tattoo she wanted. Then she touched and sliced my deli meat and cheese with contaminated gloves. It was disgusting. After that I worked my way to the meat counter which was equally frustrating. The clerk, Greg, looked at me and then walked into the back without acknowledging me or telling me anything. When he finally came back he snapped at me because I asked for two types of bacon at the same time. After getting my bacon I asked him for 6 more packs of the buy 1 get 2 free chicken breasts. He pointed to where they usually are and mumbled to get them myself. I informed him they were all gone and he said "oh well, I'm not putting more out so I guess you only get three". I was furious. I could see the chicken on trays right behind the door!! There were only 3 cashiers working and the checkout took forever. The cashier is so slow and looks at everything before placing it on the belt. There was no bagger (this happens every single time I shop at this Fry's) so I had to bag $280 worth of groceries by myself. What happened to the days where every cashier had a bagger and they would offer you help out to your car? Nevertheless, this store has gotten so bad that I will drive out of my to go anywhere else but here. read more

I go here because it seems clean enough and it is near my house. 1.) Why did Fry's change the way fuel points work? I had 40 cents but could only use 20 cents because half was from ladt month and half from this month. I am not sure who thought this was a good idea but they need to be placed elsewhere. 2.) Your online shopper people routinely cut me off or leave their carts in the middle of the aisle and then walk away from it. Teach them to respect customers and be mindful of their surroundings. 3.) Your aisles are so stinking narrow and for some reason you still want to place random cardboard food stand advertisements in the aisles making a bottle neck. 4.) A lot of the time the people in the store have no clue where things are stored. I asked about candied ginger and the girl asked if it was for a pregnant woman and to check the baby aisle... I mean do people not bake with ginger anymore or eat it for their own health? I was told if it wasn't there they didn't have it... they actually have it in 2 locations I discovered on a different trip and neither were that aisle. I also had to go to a different competitor store once because apparently Fry's doesn't carry anchovie paste unless they are a Fry's Marketplace... Are you trying to see what things you can make difficult before you kose customers or something? read more

The Clicklist crew is struggling. Came to pick up my order and a guy came out to tell me it wasn't ready and won't be ready until the next day and I just need to call and check if it's ready before I come. I drive all the way home and then I get a phone call saying my order is ready and that I need to be there in the next 15 minutes before the grocery section for online orders closed. There's always a problem with the phones when trying to reach them. Overall the whole system needs work read more

Shopping at supermarkets like this are one of the only reasons I sometimes miss living in the suburbs - almost. Big, bright, and full of all kinds of stuff. Rows and rows of all types of food products, canned goods, snacks, nice meat and produce section, baked goods, huge frozen section, deli, clean and organized, and fairly priced. Lots of checkout lanes with even some self checkout lanes. Had to come here the other day to pick up a few things for a family BBQ. Scored a nice six pack of chicken breast, bottle of BBQ sauce, and a Carvel cake for a cousin's B-Day. Everything was on sale - bonus! Love the chocolate crunchies in that ice cream cake! There's something for everyone at Fry's food store, which means I can get all of my shopping done in one stop as opposed to shopping at Sprouts where I only get a few select items. For lunch items I am a fan of the deli counter, but just to warn you be prepared to wait, sort of slow. I also get most of my veggies, and snacks from here. The wine selection is decent. BTW, currently the mini cups of the haagen daz ice cream are on sale for 4 for $5.00, the small size let's you indulge without overdoing it. it's relatively clean and organized space, and tons of parking and a mail box in the front, where you can drop off your mail. read more

If I could choose 0 stars for the pharmacy at Alma School and Germann in Gilbert I would...The store is great but the pharmacy was AWFUL! I called on Thursday & was told to come get my prescription on Friday. I called on Sat and was told it was not filled and it could not be scheduled. The Pharmacist was gritting her teeth while telling me she'd fill it after I told her my doctor said it was time. I went to pick it up when she told me to. I checked the prescriptions to be sure they were correct because the cost lower than normal and figured I must have met my deductible. The pharmacist said he understood my need to check prior to signing. Yet he did not tell me that the reason it was lower was because my doctor had made a mistake on the prescription and only gave me a 2 week supply not a 4 week! When I got home I saw that the directions were 2 pills, 3 times a day x 28 days=168 not 84! When I called the pharmacist who had waited on me, he told me that 3 x 28 was 84. To which I told him that 3 x 2 was 6 and 6x28 was 168. He was angry with me, his voice tight & told me they had to go by the number of pills on the prescription not the directions! I won't bother with the other details of this mess but suffice it to say I had to go back to my doctor, in person, w/the bottle in order to get a new prescription sent to CVS! I also lost $29.00 in the process and had to drive all over the place spending time and gas. Stay away from this location! read more

(and for ridiculous things- just to make herself known that she's a superior) It's not right. It's unprofessional. I was just there and I'm so disappointed in the staff that works there. Not all all bad but handful are. Today I went in to grab a few things. I go almost everyday. Today in produce department there was a sweatshirt on the floor in front of the bananas. There was an employee around the stand. I kindly ask of that was his sweatshirt on the ground. He just looked at me as if i was speaking another language. I asked him again... he walked around the banana stand and just looked at the sweatshirt on the ground. I asked him if he was going to pick it up and take it lost and found. He walked way and shook his head. Ugh! I picked up the sweatshirt and brought to one of the cashier, Mark. Mark is one of the nicest people there. Always greets people and is always helpful. I understand with this virus people are acting crazy but rudeness isn't allowed. So I went to the meat department. Looking for some ground pork. There were two packages but the had slits in the packages. Like someone cut into the package. I went up to the butcher and asked if I could possibly get some ground pork. He wasn't very helpful. There was another customer standing there and she was just as surprised as I was with his actions. That is so uncalled for. I brought the two packages to him and he said he was going to inspect them. Why would I want open packages meat??? So I left. Then there was a young sweet man, with a disability, who was so sweet and wanted to help me after he saw that I was frustrated. He walked me to a manager named Tino. No help there !!! He just looked at me without saying hello or can I help you. I am so disappointed with this Fry's. We have four other groceries stores around and I'm not sure why I would go back to Fry's. I have gone into other Fry's and Krogers and never had such rude employees treat my husband and I this way. I wanted to contact corporate but I couldn't get a number. This is not the first time. I've been going to this Fry's for about 6 years now and just this year it's been going down hill with some of the employees. I hope someone will correct this problem. read more

First time today using pickup option with fry's. Great experience- it takes a little time to get used to ordering and picking out items but and easy way to make sure you get everything on your list. Overall the Fry's team did a fantastic job! My Order was prepared much quicker than I would have expected and everything seemed perfect. Luke delivered my groceries- he was unbelievably pleasant even tho he was working in 100+ weather to put my groceries in my trunk.
