I really only hit up this Fry's location If I find myself nearby or out of necessity. It's a bit rundown, there are quite a few people loitering outside and near the entrance, which makes it a bit less welcoming. It's a older and smaller location, but they do have all the needs and the stocking staff is super friendly! I can't say that for the whole team, but I regress! They offer self checkout as well. Bonus, they have a nice plant selection! There is not much else to share as it's not much different than most grocery stories. It is in a shared plaza next to a UPS, a few restaurants and gas station, so can be a solid one-stop-shop option! read more

I had the most amazing experience at the pharmacy today. Gilbert helped me out I was experiencing dizziness and nauseous and big heart rate and was scared. He took me and right away to check my blood pressure and let me sit and gave me water. He was very concerned listened and I was so grateful! He made sure I was okay before leaving. I purchased Siete cookies, the only real healthy cookie on the market. Frys sold them for 599 a package where Walmart sold them for 549 a package. I went into Frys to purchase them. There is no longer a space on the shelf for them. There is no tag that they are out. They just simply stopped carrying them. We must be given the choice to buy healthy food not what they're shoving down our throat, which is of course Oreos chips, ahoy Nutter butter, all the brand names, as well as Doritos, Cheetos and Fritos all have palm oil in them. Palm oil is the worst oil for the heart. We're being corroded and railroad down the road that we must rebuilt against. We must support the companies that carry healthier foods and not succumb to the intentional poisoning of humanity.. read more

You're door beeper always beeps on me as if I stole something you need to get it fixed as I have paid for everything I got, and then I have people looking at me as if I'm a thief which is so embarrassing, when I in fact have paid and have a receipt for everything I have. If customer service had a -10, that would be my rating, here. Besides the fact that the store is constantly "out of stock" or entirely unkept. The employee at the register drops the bottle of alcohol from my purchase and breaks it. It happens to be the LAST of that selection. I tried soooo hard to work out a solution for this (which was entirely not my error) and figured they'd make things right because customer service is important- soooo wrong! I simply asked for a different brand in the same size of the same spirit. Even offered to pay the difference in price (though I shouldn't have to for what was in their hands & failed). They told me my only option was to replace it with a FLAVORED version of the same brand. This was for a special occasion & flavored is not acceptable. I explained (politely) I needed the regular, plain spirit in that specific capacity- totally ignored. I simply asked to pay the difference for a different brand. They refused. And even better- did NOT refund me for the bottle I paid for that the employee broke while taking the anti-theft device off! Their own employee was the reason the bottle I purchased was broken before it was even placed in a bag. They refused to replace it with a different brand. And to top it off, I still was charged for product I didn't receive! The "manager" dismissed everything & then refused to answer the phone when I called to inquire about being refunded. So, they basically stole from me, went back on their customer satisfaction guarantee & now refuse to acknowledge any bit of it. I now understand why this location is always deserted & looking so gross inside- it's a total hole & the staff are seriously the worst in the business. Never again. Fry's needs to do a serious overhaul here & get some legitimate management/employees. I wouldn't spent a dime to get a bottle of water here, desperate in the desert heat after this horrible experience. read more

My car wasn't working so I rode the light rail to Fry's Food and Drug on Alma School and Main. I was in a hurry but knew exactly what I needed. The store was clean and well lit. I grabbed the items I needed and went to self check out. The line was short so I was able to check myself out in a matter of minutes. I bagged my groceries and was back on the light rail in no time. read more

Loved getting Racially profiled by the front end manager - Gus. Went shopping with my boyfriend for dinner supplies. I am a 25 year old mixed African American and my boyfriend is mixed but darker skinned. We went through Jocelyns line and she was very short and gave a lot of attitude when I asked about the clipped coupons. "If it didn't take it off there I would've said something". Looked at the receipt and saw it wasn't taken off. So we went to Customer service and they got it fixed for us. Then we got a text saying we needed a clove of garlic so we went to grab that. Went thru the self checkout and after the manager Gus- followed us from the self checkout all the way to the exit doors. When we got there he rudely asked us if we have paid for all the items that we had in our cart. As we have BOTH receipts in our hands. Gus had ABSOLUTLEY no reason to follow us out of the store other than our appearance absolutely Ridiculous. Coming from someone who's family has literally worked in grocery retail my entire life. read more

Definitely check the dates on the food you buy at this store. Customer service claims they check their dates twice a day, but I routinely come close to and end up buying fully expired milk. Like most corporate-owned chain stores, or businesses in general in this state, they are constantly understaffed and end up overworking what employees they have that actually dare to stick around and keep the store running. read more

I went to get feminine hygiene products that I desperately needed. After a day of heavy pain, I was finally able to get out of bed. I even had to be driven to the store. It was 9:45 when we pulled up to the store when an employee, outside talking to another employee goes to tell me that they are close. When google, and the store website says they close at 10. I stated I only needed tampons and medicine for cramps. He then looks me up and down, looks at my driver up and down, and says "Well. We're closed" and goes back to talking I sat there in the car for 5 minutes. And Before I could even leave the parking lot, I seen someone walk in and wasn't stopped. Was it because I'm an African American woman? Because the caucus male was allowed to go RIGHT past both employees, minimal motion was given to even stop him and he was allowed to go in. He wasn't an employee, because 2 minutes after that, the security guard for the store strolled up to the door returning a cart and making his way in pleasantly. read more

The pharmacy at this location does not answer their phone, at all, NEVER. They told our family they are TOO BUSY and another pharmacy confirmed this to be true. It was a literal headache to get in contact with the pharmacy when mmt Mom's hospital unfortunately sent a digital prescription to this Fry's pharmacy. It was 40 minutes away from her residence & she's currently bedridden. The hospital suggested to call Fry's pharmacy and gave the Rx transferred to a nearby pharmacy, yet after HOURS of attempting to reach them we opted to go in person. It's very disappointing to know they won't answer their phone. I'm sorry they are understaffed, yet, ignoring ALL calls is really poor customer service. read more

This used to be my store of choice a few years ago. Today was my first time back in awhile. My mom and I went in to grab a few things. We were ready to checkout and went to a register w/o any customers. The cashier gave us the dirtiest look. Almost a grimace. She was ringing up something for someone in another line. She waived them to enter her lane. Never once did she say hello or welcome us in her line. We took the hint and went over to another cashier. The first cashier went over to speak with some other employees before she started ringing up other customers just as polite as she could be. Customer service really goes a long way. Especially when you work some place where you interact with other people face to face. I was very disappointed today. read more

I've been going to this location since it opened. For 3 years, I've watched this store deteriorate in every aspect. The pharmacy is a complete change,I've never seen such incompetence. The store is out of many products and dirty. I've watched great employees turn to grumpy and not caring people or just quit. WROST PHARMACY EVER DO NOT GO HERE!!!! For one, they NEVER answer the phone. I have called multiple times on multiple different occasions and have never had anyone pick up for over 20 min before I finally just hang up. Second, it will take them DAYS to fill your prescription. I have an very very important med that I cannot miss any days of, made sure to get it filled the day before I tan out, went in person to make sure they were filling it, then came back later that day and they said they were still not done and I still couldn't pick it up for another DAY!!? After I told them how important this med was and after going in multiple times in advance they still can't get anything done. This happens every time with my meds and my bfs meds. There's always a huge line, and the staff does not care how late they are. We are switching pharmacies. Don't waste you're time here. read more

Mikhail is a moron. Store is mostly clean. They always run out of shopping carts inside the store so I have to track one down in the parking lot. Use the Fry's mobile app to add discounts on products you buy to save money! There are plenty of registers but they only keep one open so that you will use self checkout- very scummy. read more

Half of them walk around with their noses exposed, the other day I saw a guy stocking shelves with his mask completely off, and tonight my toddler rounded a corner to come within a few feet of a patron who was standing in line entirely unmasked. We've been going to this location weekly since we moved to Mesa a year and a half ago, but no more. I no longer feel that I or my family is safe at this store. read more

Great customer service! The one on Baseline didn't have any lines open at about this same time of night last week so I did my shopping, then had to ring my own items up and bag my own stuff. Seemed to me they should be paying me to do their work. But at this store, there was a line open with a very nice young man working . I complimented the store on having better service, then had to question the price of some TP I was buying which came up at twice the price of the sign on the shelf under the packages, so I asked him to take it off unless they had someone who could walk over with me and show me which package was $6.99 (said nicely) and next thing I knew he tossed the TP in my basket at no charge. That's exactly the sort of PR that makes you want to return to a store. Plus their prices were good on the items I bought and they also have a great clearance section. read more

this place is not bad. I typically come here on my lunch break because they have a lot of really good specials and deals to get some really good lunch at a pretty decent price. I usually am able to get a bunch of really good stuff for under $10. That is much cheaper than a McDonald's meal and the food here in my opinion is a lot more healthy. Firstly, it depends who's working. From cashiers, clerks, managers to the so called "Security." I lived in the area for quite a while and would buy $20 worth of stuff 9/10 I walked in. One time I walked in and asked to use the bathroom. It was a manager. His exact words "I see you in here all the time and just walk right out. Buy something, then I can let you use the bathroom!" I hope you heard the exclamation point, as he said this to me with disgust. I stayed living down their for another few weeks before moving back to Scottsdale. The time after that I did an experiment. I walked in once again and asked a random employee with keys if I could please use the restroom. He said kindly "of course sir." I bought $100 worth of stuff that day, more than half of it I gave proudly to the local homeless people. So, please... Some of you at Alma School and Main "Fry's" staff... Be a little nicer. I know homelessness is a major thing in your location, but if you're going to tell someone they simply can't quickly use your restroom... do it in a polite manner or get out of customer service altogether. I like this frys yet the past month or two there's been a serious 'Fresh Baguette' shortage. Out of 5 times I will get a baguette once or twice. They have the basket out and there won't be any baguettes in there. It doesn't matter if you come in the morning or afternoon. One time they didn't even have the baguette basket out. Why do you no longer make enough fresh baguettes? When they took the basket out entirely I heard one girl (not me) asking where they were. If you know the customers want it, why not make it? read more

The closest Fry's to me. They don't have a good amount of cashier's so checking out is usually the worst part of coming here even though I usually use self checkout at every grocery store I go to. But because of the lack of cashier's at this location, self checkout usually takes a little longer than it should. They always have the cereals I want at the best price in town, at least they do most of the time. That's all I need from Fry's really and when I come here for cereal because I've seen it on sale in the weekly ads section of the Fry's app, I usually buy other things as well. Kroger is a good brand that you can only get here and it's cheaper than the other brands. I will continue to come to this Fry's. My only other complaint is the security guard at night time sometimes closes the store early and refuses to let people in. That shouldn't be allowed, I've seen him close it as early as 15 minutes before the store was scheduled to close. That should not be allowed. It's not the customers problem if he has plans after work. His plans shouldn't be more important than ours. If he has to stay a little longer because of a last minute customer, oh well, that's part of the job. They should not allow the security guard to close the store early anymore. I hope management starts doing their job and puts him in his place and if they are the ones telling him to do so then hopefully they get new management. I have to take away two stars for the 2 issues I mentioned. I will continue to come here as long as I live close to here. read more

Produce 5 out of 10. We have chosen to choose which cashier we prefer. Management very questionable!!! Worst staff of my life, self checkout guy denied my mom service because I was shopping with her as a minor, apparently my mom can't buy herself a bottle of wine with her daughter. Corporate is already getting an earful from her. Not to mention there was brown paper towels all over the store like maintenance forgot to clean up every spill for the past year. I actually really dislike shopping here but I have to because Safeway's prices are outrageous and there is nothing closer.. I would usually go here early in the morning before work but this time I went at night to buy milk.. During checkout, my husband and I were completely ignored, not a hello or anything. We got our bag and started to leave. Then I heard this insanely loud sound and looked back. All the cashiers gathered around laughing that one of the cashiers farted.. Eew! I don't want to shop somewhere where the workers are so open to their bodily functions next to food, freaking gross! Then walking out in the parking lot there was a group of teenagers and mid 20's buying and selling what looked like meth. They were right next to my car and I looked around to call security over but he was off lolligaggin fiddling around riding an electric shopping cart back to the store.... I wish there was an option to not leave any stars. Sadly this Frys has become a very ghetto location. Kids runs the stores and their produce dept is like a Farmers market with people who dig through fruits and veggies. The stire manager needs to watch the people and their kids in priduce who snack on things like grapes without purchasing....so Gross! Also they need to get security in their lot for panhandlers!
