I really love the layout of the store in particular and the fact that they have clothing, which is pretty unique to any other store location within my area. I like how the shopping experience is pretty seamless and comfortable with the aisles, not being too crowded. The store is also clean and while organized, which I definitely appreciate along with the back seasonal area being one of the featured spots that I check out each time there is a seasonal change. I'm trying to make sure I sees this couldn't find anything on their site to complain and show pictures so anyway three or four days ago I bought some bread there today. I opened it up and it's lightly molded and I even have the expiration date on it. the expiration date is February 2 of 26 so I'm highly disappointed in fries. I shopped there all the time it seems like there's products aren't as good as they used to be when I buy produce. I try and buy as fresh as I can, I even buy underwrite so that it's not over ripe and my vegetables are not lasting as long as they used to. It's like you're buying them old, even though they don't look old because they're not lasting and I do all the tricks and everything to keep my vegetables fresh and it's ridiculous. read more

Wow. Where do I begin? My mom and I ordered from Fry's Marketplace at 10am on October 19th, 2025. The assistant store manager, Maria, messaged us that our order was going to be ready between 4pm-5pm. When it was around 4:22pm, I started to head to the store to pickup the order, after my mom received a message about the order # 1252926649812520701, being ready at 4pm. Then I received a call from Maria, and she said the order would not be ready until 6pm. I turned around after wasting my gas and headed back home after working 11-12 hours that day. Then we called to speak to the Store Manager, Rick, and they put us on hold for 10-15 mins. After the hold, we spoke to Maria, again. Maria kept giving excuses as to why our order # 1252926649812520701, was not ready. We then waited for 90 more mins, and still did not receive an email or text message from Fry's Marketplace about our order. Maria told us that the order would be discounted, but Maria never told us the price. After waiting, my mom had to contact Fry's Marketplace on Gilbert & Baseline, AGAIN, just to see what the status was of the order # 1252926649812520701. My mom is handicapped so she was very worried about this business being very unprofessional and disrespectful towards us and our order. I want to bring it to more people's attention that this is not how to treat handicapped people and that's not how you do business. We showed up this morning, 10/20 after being told our order would be ready and the order was put back on the shelves, after we had already paid for it through the online app. We will never ever be back at this place of business again. And it's a shame because they have great workers there but the assistant store manager, Maria and the store manager, Rick need to stop making excuses and show professionalism. read more

Fry's, You Can Do Way Better Than This I walked into this Fry's today expecting a simple, routine shopping experience. Instead, I left frustrated, insulted, and genuinely shocked by the level of incompetence I encountered. The staff I dealt with made no effort to help me. They didn't apologize, didn't look for solutions, and acted as if my problem was an inconvenience to them. This is basic customer service 101, and it was nowhere to be found. I work in customer service myself -- as a waitress, I bend over backwards to make things right when something goes wrong. So when I see employees who can't be bothered to do the bare minimum, it's not just disappointing, it's unacceptable. To make matters worse, the store's lack of proper signage makes it incredibly easy for customers to be misled. This isn't just a bad day -- it's poor management and a breakdown of standards from the top down. If Fry's wants to keep loyal customers, they need to retrain this staff, put clear signage in place, and remember that people spend their hard-earned money here. Came to do my regularly weekly shopping and the stupid self check out machines are terrible. Kept saying "make sure you scan all my items and place them in the bagging area" for no good reason, I was scanning everything and wasn't not scanning anything. It's stupid AI. Then I get through everything and it makes it so a worker has to come by but there was no person to help. I left, leaving the cart of items in the store unpaid for. If you are going to require people to use the self checkout don't use bad technology. Good luck restocking everything. I'll just order online now and make you all pack and bag everything all over again. Now you wasted my time and your employees time to put away everything I was trying to buy in the store and now they just have to process my order online and go shop and bag everything all over. We visit Fry's often but I really loved visiting during my pregnancy. Shout out to the Expectant Mother's Only parking - it saved me from waddling too far from the entrance. Service is really fantastic - each department is very friendly. This location is HUGE but very well kept. The soda deals here are great and the prices in the bakery section are good! So I shop at the one on baseline and gilbert rd. Went to the pharmacy for assistance, The assistance told the pharmacist that I had a question on laxative. As soon as she told her i had a question she ig ore me and so did the pharmacist. People do not take any prescription for yourself there they really are horrible people, and their level of customer service is that of a piece of furniture, take it to Costo you do not need to be a member to use them, and they know how to treat people. This pharmacist was an arrogant nasty human being. Frys you are the most expensive store in the valley, your probable should not be in business the way you treat people. read more

Lisa! Amazing Lisa! What an awesome person she is! My friend and I stopped by Frys today to pick up some coffee creamers, red bull, and coffee cup stirring sticks. We couldn't seem to locate the stirring sticks so we found Lisa in the flower section and asked for help. She literally took the time to walk up an down the store helping us find them. She was so genuinely pleasant and just a kind person who enjoys people. It was the best, most fun, and enjoyable Easter egg hunt to find these stirring sticks. They have gotten a bit pricey, but they have a few items I like to get in the store. So I keep going back. I am glad they have a good baking aisle. And they have a great deli. Honestly, those are the reasons I go. Hub gets his favorite water there, too. My husband and I have been going to this Fry's location for about 18yrs now. Couple nights ago we were checking out with a cashier name Linda. She was very rude, condescending, and disrespectful to my husband. Saying that she can cuss like a sailor and that she can cuss him out! We have never ever had any fry employee treat my husband the way she treated him. We are very nice people. I never complain about fry's but this woman was not a happy person! I talked with the night manager and somebody was to get a hold of me the next morning. Nobody did. If I see Linda as a cashier I will not go to her! This is our fry's, I shop here one to two times weekly. Today I had a terrible experience. I went to customer service to return a few items, which is very rare for me. I did not know you had to have the actual physical receipt.... Which is absolutely ridiculous since digital receipts are available on the app/online. The girl at the counter, Olivia, said her manager could "look it up" but failed to mention that it would take over 20 minutes... FOR A RECEIPT that is already available clear as day on my phone. I would've been fine, had she actually explained that it was gonna take a while, or even stayed at her desk and apologized for the wait. But instead, she was joking around with coworkers, leaving me to stand, wondering why this was taking so long. She was unapologetic about the situation and rude. I would've even appreciated her letting me know I could go get some shopping done while I waited, and then come back to the customer service stand at the end. Typically the staff here is very nice, and this review is really meant for Fry's corporate office to update their return policy. No one should have to go through this much for a return. Edited to add: after a total of about 25 minutes, I asked what the status was. She said the manager was "still looking." I asked her if I could go shop while the manager looked, and she said "oh yeah, you don't have to stay up here." Another thing she failed to mention which cost me precious time as a mom shopping during my daughter's nap time. So I head over to check out & Cheri saw I wasn't able to get my balloons. So she walked over and blew them up for me even though it wasn't her section. Market Place has more than the average Frys Store. Deli is bigger & offers soup, salad bar, & additional sandwiches daily. Carry Boars Head meats, mustards, cheeses & more! Larger Liquor Department & Mega Meat Dept. Sushi Station, Huge Bakery, Clothing, Shoes & Clearance items too! Had coupons with me today, but there were a few items they don't carry?! However, for the most part- quite a bit of savings! Gas discounts accumulated! Make sure you sign up for their reward programs & Community Groups too! Works in a pinch This is not my favorite Frys Food Store but it will work in a pinch. I was able to find everything that I need with no problems. All the associates are very polite, friendly, and helpful, and the prices are competitive. The deli is great. However, I do have a "Love hate" relationship with the Deli. I love Boar's Head products; hate waiting to get them. The deli was slow this time but if your in need of a six foot sub for a party, Frys is the place to go. It was so bad that I had to speak up and tell the female employee to please watch her fowl inappropriate language that she was using right in front of my 6 and 7 yo kids. I understand she is having an issue with a customer but that is so unprofessional to act the way the two employees did. The pharmacist , Hein spoke to me like an uneducated child. At the end of our conversation she assured me she would be sending a request to my doctor for a prescription refill, then to my dismay when I phoned several days later I was informed that not only did she not send the request but, the pharmacy was refusing to fill my prescription medications from this point on. How unprofessional. In the state of Arizona there are only 9 legal reasons a pharmacist can refuse to fill a prescription and spite, and, or just not liking a person unfortunately is not one of them. Should I have a Siezure because of her negligence it could fall under medical malpractice. The store Manager seemed emphatic however, said it was out of his hands. read more

WELL...I come here a lot, but that doesn't mean I don't continue to have bizarre and often scary situations here, namely involving the parking lot. The store itself itself is okay, and it's the closest Fry's to me which is why I'm here so much, but it's hit-or-miss with the service (usually nothing to write home about) and product availability, especially any meats that are on sale. If you use self-checkout, you'll usually get someone to 'make it right' for you, but sometimes they don't want to budge, even when the digital coupon is evasive, or lacking clarification (OR clarifying too much like 'here are all the gift cards excluded from the promo' - but that's Corporate, and not this store specifically). As far as the parking lot, I've experienced an employee driving down the wrong lane in a delivery truck, had someone open my car door thinking it's theirs (lock your doors!), and, just very recently, nearly got creamed by a car walking out the east exit, and I know I absolutely would have been hit because the driver still wasn't looking as I was jumping back. Oh, I also got called an "a-hole" by a customer who didn't like that the employee came to my defensive when they were standing too close to me at Customer Service, but of course that incident was actually inside the store. They take security measures outside and inside the store (as evidenced by the police workers regularly near the doors), but I always feel I'm rolling the dice whenever I come here; I also shop at the Walmart down the road, but have never felt as unsafe as I do at this Fry's location. read more

This has been my grocery store for the past 3 years, and plan on continuing to shop at this Frys for years to come. Honestly, grocery store is just a grocery store. I pass two to get to this one. The real difference is the staff. I never feel uncomfortable asking for something specific from the meat department, always happy to help and never act put out by helping. I enjoy the friendly faces at the Starbucks. I trust the pharmacist, and have a good rapport with everyone in the pharmacy. The cashiers remember my kids, and are kind. Umm, where has this Fry's been for the past three years?! When I lived in central Phoenix, the nearby Fry's was the first grocery store I found, and I went only to that grocery store for a while until I learned my way around. That Fry's was just a regular grocery store. THIS Fry's in Gilbert on the SWC of Baseline and Gilbert Rds is phenomenal. It's rather like a Whole Foods (a nice grocery store) combined with a piece of Bed Bath & Beyond (a section of kitchen pots, pans, utensils, small appliances) and a piece of a patio store (BBQs, patio furniture) and a piece of TJ Maxx or Homegoods (home decor) and a piece of Barnes & Noble (a small section of books and magazines) and a piece of Petsmart (a pretty nice pet section for a grocery store). The deli is one of the nicest I've seen in a grocery store. There's still a beer/wine/liquor section and florals, and this one also has a Starbucks. The store is just WOW. I'm not sure how often I'll go to any other store now! read more

My brother constantly talks about Fry's, the grocery store that has everything. This particular Fry's he described as being smaller than the newer ones, and less crowded which makes for convenient shopping. We stopped in midday to pick up a couple missing groceries and scan the alcohol section. Where I'm from there are some silly laws that prevent us from having such a selection. My brother informed me that the bigger Fry's have rows and rows, but the selection here can fit all your basic alcohol needs and then some. Nice grocery chain, and it seems they have a good gas rewards deal going on too! read more
