This review and rating is strictly for the online order and pick-up service. I do not like competing in the isles or checkout lines. This makes the service attractive for me. Fry's online shopping is probably the best. Very intuitive and easy to navigate efficiently. E coupons are easy and saves you money. My online shopping I typically limit to sales particularly meats that are hard to beat. All purchases add up for points which I redeem at the Fry's gas station onsite. Their online ordering process allows you to schedule your pick up time and you receive a text reminder when it's time to pickup. There are dedicated parking spaces for pickup. I love the convenience of this option. read more

I have a confession...I'm addicted to the Sugar Free Ultra Monsters. I drink 6 to 8 a day....every day for over 12 years. How am I alive you ask? I'm pretty sure all my internal organs have turned black and don't work. And no, they don't give me any once of energy, I just love the taste (I mostly drink the White Monster...it tastes so good when it hits your lips!). It's very interesting that workers stop what they're doing just to watch someone black check out their groceries. this is the 3rd time in a week at the same self checkout that multiple white workers stop what they're doing to watch me or stand directly behind me or pretend they need to do something at the register right next to me. I'm going to start recording and posting the examples online. if I wanted to steal something out of the store in the years I've lived here, I would have done it already. I'm a paying customer just like everyone else and deserve to be treated with respect. Do better. read more

Came here to get a carrot cake, as it was my birthday and I was alone for it, so I was going to celebrate it my way. This store is HUGE and so easily accessible to get through! It's a marketplace too so they have everything you need in one stop! Customer service here I found to be top notch and very good. People asking you if you're finding everything you're in search of and just checking on you to make sure you're okay scores big points with me. The ambiance of this store, even when busy, is quiet for the most part. I am also impressed with how well stocked and clean the store is and that also scores big points with me and makes me a return customer. This was my third time shopping at fry's in Goodyear AZ. What can I say, when I park in front of the QR code and then scan. The QR code never work for me. So I decided to call customer service this time and right away someone came out. The ppl working at fry's are awesome. But the app is all mess up and needs to be updated or fix right away. I do not know, if I'm the only one having trouble with the app. So I have to give the app a one star but the ppl all stars, because they always greet you with respect. Tried the fried rice bowl. By the way, where do these sushi people come from? We must have an exchange program with Japan. We send pizza makers there and get sushi in return.? The fried rice was pretty good and standard, but the teriyaki chicken had some issues. The pieces of white chicken that were edible was about 50%....,the rest was fatty and terrible. I thought it would be faster thru self checkout the young man Elmo was trying to help in a rude manner telling me how I "needed to do this, I needed to do that.." All I asked was when do I add the phone number.!! Also told me I should have "a better day!" My day was just fine before being talked to like that. Maybe his day was not going as he planned, how rude and disrespectful. May want to check his attitude at the time clock and show more patients with ppl that are just asking questions. read more

I love this store. It's huge & they have almost everything. The pharmacy in particular is why I am writing this review - they are on point there. I've tried Safeway down the street which they were always out of my stuff, and there seemed to always be an issue every time. Don't think it's their employees but their system is not as strong as Fry's. Walgreens has been another one that I've had issues with. But with Fry's, I get my prescriptions sent in, what used to take a day, or even a week, at other pharmacies takes them only a couple hours at MOST. Absolutely excellent. They're all very friendly too. Good job pharmacy team! read more

Horrible Service. Cheap Quality. RIP OFF!!! I went shopping here for some flowers and so I purchased them for curbside pick up, when I got the flowers it turned out that they didn't have the 18 count I bought and substituted it with the 12 count WITHOUT telling me!!! And so I ended paying 27 BUCKS for something that was for 12 BUCKS!!! And then the woman who works there just says that they don't have the thing in stock and they can't do anything about it!!! I mostly use this frys for the pharmacy... sometimes they're good sometimes they're terrible. They do not have consistent or logical drive they hours. It appears that they just make whatever up whenever they feel like. If you ask why the drive they is closed when the hours say it should be open, the answer will absolutely sound completely made up. Oh and signs they love to wallpaper the drive thru window with signs, they don't know what the signs say and they will argue with you about what they say. It's amusing if you keep your sense of humor, they're also the most convenient for my mom to pick up my bazillions of prescriptions as i can't drive and there's no sign of doctors figuring out what's wrong with me so i can drive again, so that's why there has been no change in pharmacy. read more

As they say, "all it takes is one." This Frys location at Signal Butte and Guadalupe is our Frys of choice. Heck, we have a Safeway 2 minutes from our house; however, we still drive several miles further to go here. July 20th, 2022 at approximately 2:55pm. So what happened? First let me say I'll do my best to keep it short. Upon walking in through the South doors, I glanced to my left an noticed no customers where waiting at the counter. Therefore, I temporarily bypassed the vegetable section and quickly walked over to the Deli. Was looking to grab some deli meat for my kiddos. In fact, to surprise my wife by doing something she mostly takes care of. As I got closer, I noticed a gentleman waiting at the chicken counter (it's to the left of the deli when facing it). Looking around, I realized I was next. I grabbed a number (29) and looked up to see the Deli counter at 27. Figured this should be a short wait. The female worker behind the counter (whom I had never seen at Frys in all the years going there) walked towards me, barely gave me a glance, and before I could say "he was next", walked away to attend to him. No problem. He was number (28). Shouldn't be a long wait. I then noticed two (2) women approach from the vegetable section and stand behind the gentleman being served at the counter. I of course was not worried I would be ignored. Why? I had my number! I was next! But of course, and when the customer was done and he rolled his cart away, the deli worker shifted her stance (away from my direction), acknowledged the two (2) women and attended to them. It then dawned on me that I was experiencing what some would call discrimination, racism, etc. Really? At MY Frys? This could not be happening. I'm a regular. Yes, yes. Female worker was white. The two (2) women (customers) were white. But guess who wasn't? You got it. Me. Enough said. God bless her and I pray she asks our Lord and Savior for forgiveness and changes her ways. read more

Wendy is THE NASTIEST Frys employee I have met. My dog is in service animal training, barked just twice and I got berated EMBARRASSED and THREATENED OUT LOUD IN FRONT OF MOST OF THE STORE. I have a cervical neck brace on and it's difficult enough being in pain, but this person is HORRIBLE!!! To make matters worse, I learned that she's an influential manager in the store with people that report to her, and I learned that this is a recurring issue with her. It's unfortunate that a single person at a wonderful store like this makes the shopping experience an unforgettable experience. read more

This is the worst grocery store! Nobody in my family enjoys coming here or even wants to shop here. Every time you come here, it is a complete nightmare! Many items you want are out of stock. The employees are extremely rude and pushy. I have been bumped into multiple times by the employees who are doing the curbside pickup shopping. During the COVID fiasco, I was told by 2 Fry's employees that I was a child and not allowed to purchase household paper products (paper towels, toilet paper), yet I was older than they were! I had to get a manager involved and even then, the 2 employees handing out the paper products were giving me snippy little teenage attitudes right in front of the manager! Wow! Most recently, the issue is their app for discounts/digital coupons. If you are from out of state and have a Kroger or Ralphs app/account, you cannot switch over to Fry's. Every time I have tried to get the Kroger/Fry's app to switch locations to this store, the app won't allow me to change the location. I have even contacted corporate over this and they can't even fix it. When I spoke with corporate , they told me to just inform the checker and they can apply the deals. So, if the app and account doesn't work and even corporate can't fix it, how is this the customers fault?! There are tons of out of state people in this area, especially in the winter time (aka snowbirds), so I know I'm not the only one with this problem. I am constantly denied deals because you have to have it on the app, yet the app and the Fry's/Kroger account doesn't work with my already existing account. I cannot make another account because I already have an account in the system! It's a big fat mess! This is where we have the lovely issue with Anette, the checker. My last interaction with Anette was one for the books! I place all my items on the conveyor belt, and when I push the cart forward, Anette tells me with a yelling tone of voice, "PLEASE CHECK THE BOTTOM OF YOUR CART FOR ANY ITEMS!" I was shocked! I have never been told in such a scolding manner to check my cart as if I were trying to steal something. I politely told her there was nothing in the bottom of my cart and that all my items were placed up on the conveyor belt. I then explain to her the problem with their app. She immediately gets an attitude and says she can't give me any deals unless I've added them to the app. Again, I explain to her, my account doesn't sync up with their location and I cannot make a new account because my info is already in their system and this is not my fault. She continues to argue with me in a scolding and yelling tone of voice and completely refuses. After that interaction, I have always avoided going to her checkout line. Well, I was walking through the store one day and Anette sees me - she glares at me and stares me down as I am passing by! Then, just today, I'm walking out of Fry's and she is walking in - same thing! She sees me and glares me down! Not only does she stare me down as if she's trying to start something, she now has begun parking right next to me in the parking lot! I'm sorry, but Anette should be written up at the least! She makes me along with my entire family feel unsafe going to this Fry's location! Beware if you get Anette at the checkout!!!!! She will yell at you, argue with you, and glare you down every time she sees you! Anette takes her grocery store job way too seriously! Maybe she should work as their security guard instead! read more

Seriously Fry's!! Not much of a "friendly neighborhood" store after my last 2 experiences in drive up. With a 1 day window to pick up order I hustled there after work to get my order before you close. We show up right at 8pm, as does the car next to me. Mine was denied, other car approved. Fry's employee tells us sorry your order can't come out because it's right at 8pm, the other car submitted at 7:59pm so there's can. Ok, frustrating but that's on me for barely making it. So I leave, call customer support to ensure the hold my order till morning... after 20+ mins on call with help desk.... Sorry the drive up is closed at that store, your order will likely be put back. No option for me to select pick up next day, nothing. Just wasted gas driving there, wasted time ordering, wasted time on held desk call... still no groceries. This isn't the 1st time either. Please make your Drive up service a bit more friendly to us moms while manage households & work long hours. Maybe an option to extend pickup to next day, just a request :-/ read more

Went back because my fridge is empty. They were out of all kinds of chicken. No chicken in the store. No potatoes. No habaneros. No celery, only sticks. No cilantro or even a place where the cilantro would go. In the organic section, there was a spot for cilantro, but they were out. Pork was my fallback because of no chicken, but porkchops were $6.50 a pound, up from the usual Fry's $6. Still $3 anywhere else. Avocados were all terrible, like always. Still haven't seen one good avocado at fry's. I left what little I had in my cart and walked out. I had a list of fewer than 10 items and they didn't have 6 of them. Aug 19, 2019 This Fry's location is my home base store for them due to distance. This Fry's location is always very clean, the employees are all super friendly and helpful. Their shelves are always stocked and neat and tidy. They offer a florist area, a help yourself wing stand with about 8 varieties, olive help yourself, salad help yourself area, a coffee area, a place next to the deli where they will make you sandwiches etc. Their cheese selection and wine selection is pretty extensive. They have a good size area for pull up a chair and sit and drink wine which seems to always have individuals there. The butcher area has an adjacent grill where if you would like you can go to the butcher have them pull something from the case and while you shop they will prepare it for you. While they have a huge variety of most things, I do feel their prices (along with most supermarkets here in Phoenix) are much higher on most things than the many other places I have lived. But not much you can do about that if all of the chains here are participating in this escalated pricing structure. read more

I've gone to return an item without a receipt two times. The first time they told me they couldn't accept the return even tho the tags were still on. I went on the website and Fry's claims that they can give you in store credit and even look up a receipt if you have a Fry's card. I went to a different Fry's to return some other things, talked to customer service and yes, Fry's can look up your receipt at the location of purchase with a Fry's card. I return to the location I bought my two items, show my Fry's card and the unused items and they tell me only a manager can look it up and that they stopped looking up receipts since January. They should change the company policy on the website as it is misleading. I will be talking to a manager soon but the service of the recent visit was awful and condescending. Will not be purchasing from this location ever again. read more

This store has really gone downhill in the last 6 months. The only plus in this store is their cashiers. They are always so friendly, even if it's busy. The store itself has run its course. Out of stocks, dirty shelves no one around to help you in the middle of the store. The majority of staff that you see are the order pickers and they are always in the way and never have a smile to give. Too bad, this store was always an awesome place to shop. I think that it is either mismanaged or something else is really wrong here. For the most part, I have shopped here since it opened, but there are many times that I have to go elsewhere to get something that is out of stock. Just got back into town and I have no idea what has happened to the management of this store. I arrived at 9:50 pm. The store closes at 11:00 pm. From the moment I arrived, there was a countdown to the store closing (in 70 minutes) - like they couldn't wait for you to get out. The when I went to checkout at 10:40 pm, it was only self-checkout. Not a single cashier. Lots of produce = a frustrating enough time to write this review on the parking lot. 3 stars because the selection is good. How long does it take to actually hire staff in the pharmacy? They've been short staff for months now and it seems like they aren't doing anything about it. The drive through has been closed for at least 3 and half months now and the excuse is that they are short staffed. Everyone in there has a bad attitude and 2 out of the 5 in there have no clue on how to do their job properly. A real leader would've figured things out to get things flowing. Bought some pop recently was honest and told them I would have only bought it for the 4 for 10.88 but that it expired in June of 2021.. wasn't sure of the date I bought but for sure it wouldn't have been more than a couple of months as I definitely wouldn't have bought more than 3 months ago making it at worst only good a month from when I bought. Very argumentative not worth the whole 8 dollars as I only wanted to exchange for some that was not expired. Went to Safeway where they were very accommodating went to exchange and found that expiration dates were 1 month from now. I don't know if it's a Covid thing but lesson learned to check the dates of soda you are buying and stay away from Frys horrible customer service. Not exaggerating at all, every single time I go there, there is a price error. Then I have to stand in a long customer service line and talk to a snarky old lady. I also noticed that the sale prices are deceptively placed. Just very annoying how nothing is straight forward and reviewing my receipt is more complex than the presidents tax returns. Then found out through the app, my entire order was cancelled. I couldn't even pick it up the next day. The manager on staff had been there since 7am that day. I used to really love Frys!! The employees are always very kind and helpful and the food top notch BUT things have changed in the last several months. I used to go at least once or twice a week and I started noticing that items I purchased were expired. Today was the last straw. I bought strawberries that were molded in the center, the Private Selection ham was smelling and old and had expired two days before I purchased it. I can let one or two things go but then my daughter brought me the Pepperidge Farm chessmen cookies I purchased on August 12 only to find they had expired on the 11th, and just now I went to open a very expensive yogurt called OUI Which did not expire for another week but when I opened the lid there was gray mold on top! I have no idea what is going on with Fry's lately but I really wish they would double or triple check the expiration dates on their food and check their fruits so that things like this don't keep happening. I spent at least $150-200 a week at Frys but I just cannot keep going to a store that has no quality assurance. I realize that I can take these items back for a refund, however, when it's 110° outside it's a complete hassle! Please get Frys back to where it once was because I hate shopping at Albertson's. read more
