I eat at F's all the time, disappointed today! When I placed an order for delivery and it looked as if someone ate most of the chicken

$3.25 for 3 bites of mac salad. $1.50 for the rice.

This was my go to place. Ever since they had the food truck. But now the prices have gone up and portions are much smaller. very disappointing, because the food is actually really yummy but it's not worth the price anymore. DO NOT ORDER SIDES. Pictures shown are not accurate anymore. Also, the masubi protein portions are very small

We went on a whim to try this place due to its high reviews. The first thing I noticed was the strong smell penetrating from the nail salon next door. This is always a big detractor and I even typically avoid restaurants near nail salons. In fact, had my timing been different, we might have left. The young lady taking orders was helpful. I had a question about a 2/1 deal on the door. She was friendly. The other gentlemen was not rude but he wasn't helpful either. The food was expensive for the portions. However my son loved the Katsu chicken. As I asked him about how he liked it, I noticed he was basically drinking the remaining Katsu sauce that came with it. I also had the Katsu chicken and it does have a good batter and the sauce is good. I also had the beef ribs. I wasn't not that impressed with them. Their flavor was decent but the rib was kind of tough.

Solid food. Friendly service and clean inside. A little pricey, but Better than the Hawaiian chains that have started moving into the area. My favorite is the half-and-half plate with chicken and shredded beef.

F's Hawaiian is such a vibe! The cozy, relaxing atmosphere makes it the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy an amazing meal. The flavors were on point, the food was served hot and fresh, and everything was made with care. On top of that, the cashier was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. If you're looking for great Hawaiian food in a comfortable, welcoming space, this place is a must. I'll definitely be back!

I'm here to update my review. They are no longer a food truck. Now they're in a strip mall near Woodland Hills. Like this place so much better than the other Hawaiian chain in town. Food is more flavorful and wider variety. We still share the #1 sample plate and add a side of macaroni.

Medium Teri chicken and small katsu chicken. $22 and change for both. Single serve to go box about the size of my palm.

Waste of money. $12 for a small bowl of rice and chicken. Even my 6 year old looked at it and was like where's the rest of it? Rice is cheap. It's not hard to use a sizable plate and put a couple good scoops of rice. On top of that both plates had almost no flavor. Medium Teri chicken and small katsu chicken. $22 and change for both. Single serve to go box about the size of my palm. Nothing but a scam.

I came in on a Saturday night at 6 PM and the place was empty. It wasn't until 20 minutes later that they started having customers. I wonder if it's because of timing or if most orders are to go. I didn't know what to get so I went for the mixed special plate which has teriyaki marinated grilled chicken, shredded beef, and beef short ribs. The meats came with shredded cabbage, rice, and macaroni salad. The meats were basically grilled but needed the sweet sauce for flavors. Without the sauce, the meats tasted no different than home marinated meats. F's Hawaiian Food is one of those places that I would try to see but not a place I would often come back probably. It doesn't have that "hook" to force me to come back.

First bite was amazing, until I noticed my chicken was still pink. Another piece of chicken was a dark grey color and they all had yellow on them. I had little to no chicken. No flavour. Straight coating.

I placed an order for pick up, and it was really tasty. Between 3 of us we tried teriyaki chicken, katsu chicken, and spam musubi. We added volcano sauce to our order. I'd get all of it again. The order was accurate and fresh, and even the leftovers were tasty. The man who took my order over the phone was friendly, and pick up was quick.

In the area for a short work trip. Spotted this place on Yelp and I'm always up for a mix plate. The staff is friendly and the food was great. This was a welcomed surprise. Mahalo!!

Ask the Community - F's Hawaiian Food

Is there anything gluten free here?

You might check with the owner. He's pretty friendly. Nothing is marked gluten free on the menu. Rice is gluten free? I bet their shrimp is since it's just shrimp and butter and garlic and seasoning? Spam musubi can be gluten free.

They weren't very busy and after trying the food I cannot understand why they weren't packed! When you walk in there are kiosks that you order from. I don't mind this at all but I did want to ask about their Kilauea chicken and the spice level since they described it as lava hot. I just went ahead and ordered without inquiring with a real person. No big deal I ordered the Molokai chicken plate and my son got the Honolulu chicken plate. I also got a side of pineapple and my son got a side of spam musubi. The portion size was generous! The chicken was TENDER. The rice was cooked perfectly and the macaroni salad put that Walmart macaroni salad to SHAME! It was delicious! My son who doesn't like macaroni salad completely cleared his plate! He basically inhaled the spam musibi and I'll say the side of fresh pineapple was delicious! I was completely stuffed and there wasn't a crumb left between us. For a franchise it's really excellent and I highly recommend! I will be back soon! Oh and my son mentioned the bathrooms being nicely decorated and very clean, so that's always a plus!

EXCELLENT, a new gluten free place to eat! My husband enjoyed his meal and said the macaroni salad was a nice surprise.

It looked much the same as before, clean and inviting with enough class to make it feel nice but also chill enough for a wide variety of patrons to feel comfortable. We started with appetizers or calamari and tuna carpaccio. The calamari were wonderfully cooked and not super chewy. The breading was a little different than what you'd find at other places and was crispy and enjoyable. The sweet chili sauce was splendid and added an extra lightly sweet note. The tuna capaccio. This completely wowed us. Thin slices of tuna with some sprouts and and a wasabi drizzle. The presentation was wonderful, it tasted amazing and was fun to eat!! Our sushi rolls, two basic and two chef specials. We got the spicy tiny and Boston rolls along with a 1776 which included thinly sliced filet mignon on the outside. All of our rolls were well crafted and the fish felt and tasted as fresh as possible for being in a land locked state. We really enjoyed the 1776 but it wasn't something we'd get again. Where the steak was fine and it tasted good, it's not something that we want to circle back to. On a side note, the wasabi served with our sushi tasted like one would expect but didn't bring the heat as I'd hoped. I enjoy that burn in my nostrils! It didn't take away from the overall experience as it's simply my preference. To wrap up, our server did and excellent job. She was friendly and personable and made sure we always had full glasses.
