Avoid this company. From day one, things felt off. The gutters they installed were done poorly. They came out once for a repair and explicitly admitted they installed them completely wrong. We had a shingle slip out of position after a windy storm last week. I called FTC Oury, immediately got someone on the phone, and they came out quickly and fixed it. There was no fuss, and they were kind enough to do a quick inspection of the rest of the roof - which I was told looks great for 16 years after installation, And while I'm at it, I should mention that we had FTC Oury out a few years ago to fix a leaking skylight. Three years and counting we have not had any more leaks from the skylight. read more

We had a leak in the dining room ceiling, so I called FTC Oury Group to have someone come out and look at the roof for any issues. I left a message with the answering service, and expected a call back. But within a short time the repair foreman, Scott Morgan, showed up because he happened to be in the neighborhood. He did an inspection, suggested a quick repair, and then he took care of the issue! At my request he also checked the overall condition of the roof, which he said was in great shape. I had a new roof put on by ftc Oury in august of 22. From beginning to end I felt they were honest and reliable. When I had concerns they responded and addressed them quickly without any fuss. I got a total of seven estimates for my roof, and they were in the middle of the pack as far as price. I liked that they were local and a realtor friend recommended them to me and her clients. FTC is the best. I had been fighting with my insurance for over a year to replace storm damage. I was about to give up when Nick told me to take another run at them. Nick offered to meet the adjuster. I received a call one night letting me know the adjuster would be at my house the next morning. There was no notice. I contacted Nick right away and he said he would be there. The next morning he met with the adjuster to go over the storm damage. Not sure what he did, but they covered me. The coverage was awesome, but more importantly it shows the length that FTC will go to help out a customer. Here's another example. I sent a text about a question I had before the guys started working. Nick was in the area and drove over to talk to me personally. Who does that? Nick and the FTC office responded to my texts and calls within 24 hours and most of the time much sooner. Here's another example. My house already had wooden siding covered by aluminum. A prior contractor came out and told me that they would use the old wood and apply new siding over since wood is an excellent insulator. I told Nick who agreed that wood was a good insulator, but said he would recommend tearing it all off - because you want it water tight. You know what? He was right. There were damaged boards, etc. underneath it all. Finally, the work. The guys came out and did a great job. They would kindly pause and talk to my folks who came by to see the work. They secured the site when they left for the day and left no debris when the job was done. This winter I was sure I was going to get water in my house due to the heavy snow and ice damming. For me that was the big test. Nope. Nothing. Just peace of mind. Nick said to me that FTC wants to get the job right and make the customer happy. That's how they generate more business. That's a pretty darn good philosophy to have. I absolutely recommend FTC. read more

I have water damage on my kitchen ceiling so I knew I had a leak on my slanted roof. Contacted Oury and they sent out Leo the next day to inspect it. He went up and made sure things were all sealed where the leak was. So grateful for Leo and the company to come out during this time. Great customer service. Not worth the premium price, just another average contractor with poor post project customer service. Spring of 2018 I got three quotes to install aluminum soffit and fascia on my 50s ranch house and garage. FTC was the highest price of the three bids, 20% more then the lowest. I'd been burned by cheap contractors in the past and thought the initial conversations went well with FTC so thought if I paid up I'd get better service. Plus I've seen their job signs all over town so thought I was getting the areas leading provider. Contract signed, job completed and paid for in March with FTC. There was a minor issue during install I noticed the lead installer taking a short cut to cover up the bathroom exhaust grill. I asked him to not cover the grill and leave it accessible, he following my request without issue but if I hadn't been walking the job during that phase I would have ended up with a hidden vent I couldn't ever clean out or even find. Four months later in July I was doing an unrelated exterior project on and banged up my newly installed soffit. I called up FTC and asked for someone to come out and replace a few panels. I knew I'd have to pay, I never asked for the service to be free. The damage was my own fault. I was told my repair was very small and given the phone number to the installer to schedule with him directly. That sounded fair and fine to me. I had an initial conversation with the installer, explained the issue, we agreed on a rough price and that it wasn't urgent but I wanted it done by fall. That was basically the last time I had meaningful communication with FTC. I'm writing this review in December now because after dozens of voice messages and text messages I've basically been blown off. I understand I was looking for a minor follow up and scheduling can get busy but five months is simply unprofessional and not what I paid premium upfront pricing for. My final conclusion is same as my opening line. Not worth the premium price, just another average contractor with poor post project customer service. I'll be going elsewhere for future work. read more

Our backyard shed's roof was leaking. Dakota came and provided a good estimate. Since it was near the holidays we decided to wait until after New Years whenever the weather was suitable. We were called the day before with a time to expect workers. Two men came and carefully repaired the plywood where needed then reaching led the roof. They cleaned up all debris. Great company. Our wood shake roof was reaching the end of its lifespan. We also needed 3 skylights replaced. After recommendations from family, we hired FTC Oury and could not be happier. For anyone who has had a wood shingle roof torn off you know that it is a mess with debris all over the yard. I thought there was no way they could possibly get all the materials including metal nails and staples off of the ground around our house. I was wrong. It looks like they were never there! The crew was extremely polite and did a great job cleaning up. I especially want to thank the owner, Dakota. He answered all my questions from start to finish. He checked in during the process to make sure everything was going smoothly and did a final walk around the house so I could ask any final questions. I can't say enough about this company. The crew was extremely careful, clean and conscientious. They safeguarded all of my landscaping, moved all of my flower pots and even put the pots exactly in the same places. The owner is knowledgeable and made several excellent recommendations for my new roof (house was built in 1955). They put a traditional roof on and a flat roof on in the same day. They will be installing new gutters and downspouts in a few days. This is a trustworthy, knowledgeable company. read more

Dakota came out to look at what I thought were two issues with my roof (kitchen fan vent and gutter flow). First, he told me he would come at 2 p.m. and he came right at 2 p.m., which I greatly appreciated. He then addressed the issues with the roof and gave me honest answers on both. He did not try to upsell and in fact, told me there was nothing to worry about with my gutters. I would recommend him and FTC Oury for anyone needing a roofing repair or consultation. read more

We had our siding and gutters replaced by FTC Oury in June 2017 after hail damage occurred in February. From start to finish, the process with them was professional and hassle free. We received multiple estimates from siding companies in the area but were put off by some high pressure sales tactics from other companies. There was never any pressure from FTC Oury, and the pace (i.e. picking them to do the work, choosing colors, etc) was entirely up to us. I think I had Nick come 3 separate times to drop off different siding color samples when we couldn't decide - which he did without complaint. He was also extremely responsive. If I had a question or concern, he would respond within the hour (and usually actually within minutes). They worked with our insurance, explained the whole process to us, and did a great job. The whole house siding job took only about 1.5 days and there was constant communication throughout from Nick and FTC Oury. The men were professional, polite, cleaned up after themselves, and worked hard. Pedro, the foreman, was also great. We had a few minor issues (i.e. 2 siding boards were defective and bubbled up) after the job was completed and we had already completely paid FTC Oury. Within 48 hours of my texting Nick about the defective boards, they were out replacing them. They had no obligation other than professionalism to come out so quickly and fix the boards - especially since we already paid. That they responded so quickly and courteously is really a testament that they want to do the job right. I really cannot recommend them enough and would use them again in a heartbeat. They made a frustrating process as easy as possible and our house with its updated siding and color now looks gorgeous! read more
